Default An Un[bear]able Thread! - Crazy bear related feats for 3.5!

Another thread got a bit crazy with [Bear] feats, and so when it was suggested someone make a thread for them, I leaped at the chance.

    Celestial Bears! [Exalted, Bear]
Prerequisites: Good Alignment, Any 2 [Bear] feats
Benefit: All bears summoned by your [Bear] feats gain the Celestial Creature template.
Normal: Bears summoned by your [Bear] feats do no have the Celestial Creature template.

Can you add a list to this thread of all the [Bear] feats from the other thread?

Benefit: This weird brown bear starts following you around. It listens to whatever you say, will fight and die for you, and even lets you ride it! You also gain the ability to turn into a brown bear, and then you and your bear take turns grappling and killing monsters. You gain the ability to summon other bears, as many as four big brown bears will come and fight until they lose interest, then leave. But you can do it 1/day per character level, so you can always summon more bears.

Benefit: You've heard that Druids are people who turn into bears to ride a bear, while shooting bears. They're pretty pimpin' dudes. You decide you want to be like them, and have figured out how to shoot bears. Any time you make an attack with a ranged weapon, you may choose as a free action to have it turn into a bear. This does impose a -2 penalty on the attack roll, but the damage for your shot is treated as though your bow were Colossal, regardless of your actual size, and after the attack resolves, the bear makes a full attack as a free action (use a dire bear's stats to determine damage from the dire bear). The bear continues to act on its own for your BAB in rounds, attacking whatever it was shot at, before vanishing.
Advancement: For every point of BAB above 12, bears that you shoot gain an additional 1 hit die, increasing all stats appropriately.
Game systems I play: DnD 3.5, Pathfinder, Star Wars Saga, Vampire: The Masquerade, Dungeons: The Dragoning, AFBME, Atomic Highway, Dark Heresy, Legend of the 5 Rings 4E, MAID and... EQRPG... Does anyone actually play that?

Benefit: You are surrounded at all times by an aura of dire bears with a radius of 30 feet. No, you know what? Screw it, 60 feet. Yeah. 60 feet of bears. The bears provide cover and concealment for any attack made against you, but they don't hamper you at all because they move out of the way when it's your turn. They're polite like that. Anyway, yeah, bears. They totally take attacks of opportunity on anyone who tries to enter the area of effect, and some of them are always readying actions just in case anyone starts with them, so they can be like, "Yeah, sorry, you are NOT casting a spell in here!" and smack your pansy wizard ass down. What are you going to do about it? It's a bear. You're gonna do nothing and like it. And on your turn, you can direct the bears in the aura to mess anyone up who's standing next to them. The bears are immune to everything except other bears, and even then, it could go either way.
Special: You may take this feat more than once. Every time you take this feat, the radius of your aura of bears extends by another 60 feet.

On a successful range touch attack, the sphere explodes and deals 2d6 bludgeoning damage (no save). On a miss, the sphere instead explodes somewhere within the target's hex and deals no damage.

From each explosion, 6d6 dire bears emerge. They are all pissed off and will attack the nearest non-bear immediately, though they never attack you. The bears stick around for 1 minute per character level, or until you dismiss them as a free action. This ability is usable 1/day as a full round action.

Every 5ft square in the area is immediately filled with a Black Bear. Creatures already in the area are dealt 2d6+6 bludgeoning damage and may be knocked prone. After you use this Breath Weapon you cannot use it again for 1d4 rounds. Creatures smaller than Medium size within the area cannot avoid being knocked prone. Medium-sized creatures within the area must succeed on a Reflex saving throw (DC 10 + 1/2 your number of HD + your Constitution modifier) to avoid being knocked prone. If a medium-sized creature's saving throw succeeds the Black Bear in their space is knocked prone. Creatures larger than Medium size within the area are not knocked prone, the Black Bear in their space is knocked prone.
Special: If you are Huge size or larger and have 7 or more HD you may fill every 10ft x 10ft portion of the area with a Brown Bear or a Polar Bear. Creatures in any such portion of the area are dealt 3d6+12 bludgeoning damage and may be knocked prone. Special: If you are Huge size or larger and have 13 or more HD you may fill every 10ft x 10ft portion of the area with a Dire Bear dealing creatures in those portions 4d6+24 bludgeoning damage and may be knocked prone as with for Brown or Polar Bears.
Special: Bears produced by this feat are not summoned creatures and do not last for any specific duration. The effect of this feat is instantaneous and all bears linger for as long as they wish. Mordenkainen's Ursine Transmogrification
    Prerequisites: Can't Cast Spells,
Effect: Once per day, when you are targeted by a spell, you may cancel the effect of that spell and instead summon a bear ally loyal to you. The strength of this ally depends on the spell canceled:

    1st level: Black Bear Cub
    2nd level: Black Bear
    3rd level: Brown Bear
    4th level: Dire Bear
    5th level: Dire Bear/Druid 2
    6th level: Dire Bear/Druid 4
    7th level: Dire Bear/Druid 6
    8th level: Dire Bear/Druid 8
    9th level: Dire Bear/Druid 10

A dire bear with druid levels has an intelligence score of 10, a wisdom score sufficient to cast his highest level spells and comes with a list of spells chosen by your DM. A dire bear with at least 4 druid levels has a Black Bear companion. A dire bear with at least 8 levels has a brown bear companion. A dire bear with 10 levels has a polar bear companion.

A bear summoned in this way assists you for a number of rounds equal to half your level before gating to an appropriate plane.

    Ashardalon's Nightmare
Prerequisites: Can't Cast Spells above 4th level, Smite Class Feature
Effect: Once per day, if you hit an opponent with a smite attempt, you can activate this feat to force your opponent to make a Fortitude save, DC (10 + 1/2 level + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the opponent dies as a dire polar bear tears its way out of its heart. On a successful save the target takes damage as if it were subject to a full attack by a dire polar bear (4d6 + 3d8 + 35).

Here is a Care Bear that I statted up a while ago in another thread. I've tweaked it a bit since then.
    Spoiler
    Show

    Care Bear
    Large Magical Beast (Extraplanar)
    Hit Dice: 6d10+24 (57 hp)
    Initiative: +1
    Speed: 40 ft. (8 squares)
    Armor Class: 15 (-1 size, +1 Dex, +5 natural), touch 10, flat-footed 14
    Base Attack/Grapple: +6/+18
    Attack: Claw +13 melee (1d8+8)
    Full Attack: 2 claws +13 melee (1d8+8) and bite +8 melee (2d6+4)
    Space/Reach: 10 ft./5 ft.
Special Attacks: Care bear stare, improved grab, spell-like abilities
Special Qualities: Darkvision 60 ft., scent
    Saves: Fort +9, Ref +6, Will +3
    Abilities: Str 27, Dex 13, Con 19, Int 10, Wis 12, Cha 6
    Skills: Listen +4, Spot +7, Swim +12
    Feats: Endurance, Run, Track
    Environment: Plane of Faerie
Organization: Solitary, or sleuth (2 or more)
    Challenge Rating: 5
    Treasure: None
    Alignment: Always Neutral Good
    Advancement: 7-10 HD (Large)
    Level Adjustment:

    Combat

A care bear attacks mainly by tearing at opponents with its claws. A care bear will also use its spells. A sleuth of care bears can use their care bear stare on living opponents.

Care Bear Stare (Su): Care bears can use their collective belly badges to permanently change any living opponent's alignment to Good. This is a ray attack with a 60-foot range. The ray has no effect on Undead and Constructs. A successful Will save (DC of the ray is 10+1/2 care bear's hit dice +1 for every additional bear in the sleuth) negates this.

Improved Grab (Ex): To use this ability, a care bear must hit with a claw attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity.

Spell-like ability (Sp): Each care bear has a unique spell-like ability that it can use once per day. Caster level is the minimum need to cast the spell. Each care bear has a belly badge in the likeness of his or her spell-like ability. For example, Wish Bear can cast a wish spell; Bedtime Bear can cast a sleep spell and Amigo Bear can cast tongues.

Skills: A care bear has a +4 racial bonus on Swim checks.

    Outfitting the Sleuth
Prerequisites: Any [Bear] feat, Exotic Weapon Proficiency: AK-47
Benefits: Any bear you summon with any [Bear] feat you possess gains Exotic Weapon Proficiency: AK-47 as a bonus feat, and when you summon it, it appears with an AK-47 identical to the one you are wielding. For example, if you are wielding a +4 flaming burst speed AK-47, so does every bear you summon with your [Bear] feats (if you are not wielding an AK-47, the bears appear with masterwork AK-47s). The bears' claws are sufficient to operate the AK-47.

Special: If you project an Aura of Bears, and you get your AK-47 enhanced, their AK-47s all change to match your new gun magically, with no cost to you or the creator.

Also, I have a bear-based base class that I created. Check out my signature for the link.

    That was Unbearable [Bear]
    Prerequisites: Bardic Music
Benefit: You may expend a use of your bardic music to create a truly unbearable performance. Your performance is so bad, that it requires all enemies who hear it to roll a will save at DC 13+your bard level. In addition, you may add or subtract from this DC an amount equal to the number of bear feats that you have taken.

Foes who fail the save must immediately on their turn move towards you and try to attack in melee, blinded by rage at your horrible performance. Those who succeed suffer no ill effects. A turn after your performance ends, an amount of bears are called to attack all enemies who were audacious enough to not be so moved by your performance. They appear next to all who made their save (due to apparently having sneaked up on the victim) and immediately full attack.

These bears last a number of turns equal to your bard level, attacking all your foes. You get a number of bears equal to the number of enemies that made their will save.

Wait, so you make everyone try to kill you, and bears attack everyone who didn't try to kill you?

    Dragonbear Inspiration [Bear]
Prerequisites: Bardic Music, Perform (Bear) 24 ranks
    Benefits:

As Dragonfire Inspiration, but instead of granting weapons +1d6 fire damage, each weapon attack erupts with +1d6 dire bears, who act immediately and attack a target of the weapon user's choosing. A maximum number of bears equal to the performers ranks in Perform (Bear) may be generated in this manner. The bears last until slain or dismissed (by the performer as a free action).

If the performer has the Draconic Heritage (Bear), then there is no limit on bears that may be generated, and they are Legendary bears instead of dire bears.

    Abbearation Wild Shape [Bear]
Prerequisites: Wild Shape, Aberration Blood, Any other 3 aberrant feats and any other 3 Bear feats, Character level 21+
    Benefits:

Whenever you assume the shape of any bear during a wild shape, it gains the benefits of the Pseudonatural template (from the Epic Level Handbook).

Exactly, it's dual purpose. Stand behind the master tripper, any not so moved are punished by bears.

    Beary Empowered [Bear][Metabear]
Benefits: Any time you conjure bears with a [bear] feat, may double the amount of bears you summon in conjunction with the feat. You may empower three [bear] feats a day.

But you are punishing people for not killing you... It just doesn't make sense.

    Maximized Bear [Bear] [Metabear]
    Prerequisites: Any [Bear] feat
Benefits: Whenever you use a [Bear] feat to create a numerical dice amount of bears, you may instead maximize the numerical variable (6 bears instead of 1d6 bears). If you use the Maximized Bear feat to alter a feat, you must wait 5 rounds before using the same feat again.

You are punishing them for not experiencing the emotional component of your masterpiece. Yours is a melody that is meant to convey an extreme sense of rage. Those mongrels of no culture cannot go unpunished for their transgression. They just don't know how to rage in those uncivilized places.

I am confused though, which of these feats do make sense? An aura of bears? How does that work?

I disagree. The Aura of Bears explains itself. It makes its own logic.

The UnBEARable Lightness of Being [Bear]
Prerequisite: You must have a bear
    Benefit:
You may lift a bear (any bear) as if it weighed no more than than a light mace (i.e 4 lbs.)
This ability does not grant you the power to throw a bear as weapon and does not change the bear's attitude toward you. However, you gain a +8 circumstance bonus to attack with a bear as you look far more menacing now. The bear attacks normally. Unfortunately, you may be the victim of the bear's attack unless the bear is at least Friendly towards you. This does not grant you the ability to lift other animals.

    Throw Bear [Bear]
Prerequisite: The Unbearable Lightness of Being
Benefit: You may throw your bear as weapon.
The bear does an additional 1d6 points of damage for every 10 feet thrown. If the bear lands on a target smaller than the bear, the target takes 3d8 plus 1 1/2 times the bear's Str modifier as crushing damage. The bear gains an attack of opportunity on any target it crushes. This ability does extend to other animals.

P.E.A.C.H. Please Evaluate And Critique Honestly. Being nicer and kinder doesn't hurt either. Note I generally only critique 3.5 and Pathfinder material.
Please, please, please when using non-core material, cite to the books. There are too many books to wade through to find the one with the feat, special ability or spell you use.

Friendly note from one board member to another:
Replying to threads over a certain age (6 weeks or 3 pages back, whichever is more leanant, IIRC) is technically not allowed on this board. Exceptions are made for people bumping their own work on the homebrew forums to show off edits. You can also ask the mods for a variance, or start a new thread and link to the older one you are referencing.

    unBearable Charge [Bear] [Metabear] [Mounted]

Prerequisites: Spirited charge, Bear mount/animal companion, B.A. 10

Benefits: Whenever you charge while on bearback, both you and your bear gain the benefits of pounce, and any other charging-related feats. Your bear cannot benifit from a lance unless it has it as a mouthpick weapon, however.

SpecialIf you have mounted rage from a rage power, you no longer have to spend extra rounds of rage to have your mount rage. You must be raging as normal.
