The Chaos of Orcus(4e Paragon Tier game)

Mr. Johnroot's eye twitched very slightly.
"Sure! Let me just go get my wife!"
He went into his house. He doesn't come out. Clearly Peren will have to force him to come along!

[Lemonus]

Peren sighs, pulls out his shield, and walks into the house.

[Mindfreak]

Peren will find that the solid oak front door is locked. The two windows that the house has are closed.

[Lemonus]

Peren backs up, and runs at the door shield first.

Unsuprisingly, Peren doesn't break down the door. He does leave a dent in it though.

On his 4 try(when he got a 15) Peren breaks down the door! He finds the house empty. He can hear rustling downstairs though.

Peren cautiously moves downstairs, holding his shield at the ready.

[Mindfreak]

When he goes downstairs into the cellar he will see dozens of children of all races chained to the walls. Obvious signs of malnutrion and abuse are on them.
"Don't......touch....the floor!" one of them manages to say.
"Or.....the.....ceiling!" another is able to get out.
"Or.....the.....walls!" a final one managed to say.
Peren will hear a crackling voice.
"Welcome to my lair you moron. Enjoy your stay......."
Peren will notice that the room looks perfectly normal!
There is a pile of bones on the floor next to him though.......

[Lemonus]

Peren carefully pulls out his sword, and touches the pile of bones with it. If nothing happens he will flick bones at the walls, ceiling, and floor, shield at the ready. "Don't worry children! I'll get you out of here!"

[Mindfreak]

The ceiling envelops the bone an eats it!
The floor does the same! The wall(I assume he threw one at the wall with no children on it) absorbs the bone!
A tricky situation indeed.

[Lemonus]

Peren, unsure of his course, takes a knee and begins praying to Corellon, his patron god. "Great Corellon, I ask for your help in my time of need. I must rescue these poor children, and capture the one who enslaved them. However, I am unsure of my course. Please, Mighty Corellon, help me!

[Mindfreak]

Peren might notice that his holy symbol begins to glow brightly.
I will protect your way...

[Lemonus]

Peren hold his holy symbol high above his head. "Thank you, oh mighty Corellon!"He then takes a step forward, trusting completely in his god.

Pysch!
The floor and ceiling eat Peren.
Peren is not eaten! The floor lays motionless.

[Lemonus]

Peren speaks to the children. "I will return, young ones. But first I must punish the one who enslaved you."

Are there any exits in the room that Johnroot could have taken?

[Mindfreak]

None visable.
One of the children is staring at all wall with a candle on it though.

[Lemonus]

Peren begins feeling around on the wall for hidden doors, and will try to move the candle around if he doesn't find any.

[Mindfreak]

When he moves the candle around it goes out, plunging the room into darkness. Only his glowing holy symbol is filling the darkness and he can see the glowing outline of a door in the wall.

[Lemonus]

Peren pushes on the door and leaps back, expecting a trap. If there is none, he will slowly move through the door.

[Mindfreak]

He will see Mrs. Johnroot standing over the body of her husband who was bleeding from the throat. She didn't notice Peren yet...

[Lemonus]

Peren moves over to block the exit, then speaks to the apperant murderer. "Mrs. Johnroot? You're coming with me."

[Mindfreak]

"I don't think so!"
She twirled her dagger around and motioned with her hand as if to say: 'Bring it'

[Mindfreak]

Her first blow misses completely!
