I haven't actually stood on a flying dragon recently, but could a downbeat push things away from it in all directions? Or would that only happen to things close to the ground?

Until I saw someone mention it while reading the old discussion thread, I'd never noticed that the guard Haley Bluffed into thinking he was a wallaby subsequently hopped off the screen.

I just noticed that Roy and Nale are evil opposites in more than just personal stats. Both of them are dating outsiders! I was rereading the whole comic and I got up to the part about New Years and I realized that both Roy and Nale are dating outsiders who can fly... with opposite color schemes no less!

You know that Roy's opposite is Thog and Nale's opposite is Elan, right? I'm not sure if you're forgetting that, or just pointing out there's an alternate pairing you can make.

Lol really just pointing out the alternate pairing... I know Thog is SUPPOSED to be Roy's opposite... but really it makes more sense for Nale and Roy to be opposites:

Roy: Straight up fighter, actually a brilliant tactician, dating a good outsider
Nale: Needlessly complicated multiclasser, plans appear to be thought up by a coked out 7 year old, dating an evil outsider.

I'm sure that's been pointed out before, but really I just noticed the fact that they were dating opposites.

If you're using Outsider to mean "Non-Native to the Material Plane" then ya. She's an Elemental otherwise.

Well yeah, that's pretty much what I mean because I'm almost positive at one point she or someone refers to Celia specifically as an outsider... but I could be wrong.

Hey guys! This thread is almost at the page limit, so of course we're going to have a third thread. Please suggest a nice subtitle for it! For instance:

Sorry to be nitpicky, but the quote is "I think I just failed a spot check."

I like the corrected version better.

However, to be a bit nitpicky as well, if you had failed your spot check, wouldn't that mean you still didn't notice?
78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

Ahh, but didn't Roy spend the entire second half of 795 lecturing Thog on how arbitrary Nale's "evil opposites" scheme was? That Nale could be his evil opposite (good leader, bad leader), or Sabine (good male, bad female), and that Thog wasn't special just for being dumber?

Hmm... I never realized that Miko was predicting her own death. I don't mean she was going to get sliced in half by a paladin, but just the fact that she would get sliced in half.

Specifically it's in that panel where she says "Then I will die, but not today" as she's cutting Sam in half. I just thought it was an interesting bit of foreshadowing, even if unintentional.

Not sure if this counts, but in panel 7 of this (http://antiheroescomic.com/comic/235) anti-Heroes strip, you can see Eldhin plugging his ears as Zurie sets off the Explosive Runes.
