Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
I'll go with Genesis. Every other setting (including Hourglass of Zihaja™, in stores now!) has a long backstory, with fallen empires, lost ages, forgotten ruins, & long-lost relics. A young world in the throws of ongoing creation is a refreshing break from all that, & will force the Build Team (it's weird to say that from the outside) to focus on the world as it exists today, before the PC's eyes, & not how it was decades, centuries, or even millennia ago, before the PCs were around to care. I'd like to see a setting that wasn't post-apocalyptic in some sense, & a nascent Garden World seems like a place ripe for heroes & villains to make their mark & become the epic figures of history, which are just long-dead background characters in other settings.

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
What Zeta said. To flesh out a Genesis world, one might prefer to use near-future options as opposed to the usual past history. And that would be cool.

Noir if you'd please be so kind . I wonder how you can create this wonderful set up in a Garden world, it'll be fun to see Tarzan in a black and white, Coffee shop .

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
If voting is still open, I will cast my vote to Exploration, but I think both it and Genesis complement eachother. There is bound to be a few unexplored regions in a nascent world, right ?

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
Genisis
I think it would be interesting to have a world that doesn't have problems--- yet. You have this fresh world that is all a garden--- for now. The gears that make the world run smoothly aren't in place yet. There are no kings--- yet. Any race could become bitter enemies with another--- but not yet. All the Gods like each other --- except for those two guys who just had a disagreement. Heroes haven't died... yet.
At the same time, this could be a really hard setting to write, because it can go in so many unpredictable ways.

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
Exploration baby!
I've always been a big fan of delving into the unknown of any setting just to see what's there. The great mysteries call to me.
Genesis would certainly allow for a lot of unknown, if not much in the history department, and certainly sounds like unclaimed fluff territory as far as I can tell; so I have no problem with it winning either. If I had a +1 Pan of Frying I could totally do that!

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
I have a fondness for both exploration and genesis, but Genesis feels like it has so much more potential that I feel almost obliged to vote for it.

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
I'll vote Genesis
A young world is an idea that appeals to me, but it could equally be a world that refugees from another world have arrived on and know next to nothing about... (thinking similar to the arrival of the Tsurani, etc. on Kelewan in the empire trilogy by Janny Wurts and Raymond E. Feist if anyone's read it)Part of YugiohITPAvatar by Smuchmuch

Eye of the Storm and Genesis are both tempting. I will go towards genesis however.

Going with Eye of the Storm. Shame it's not getting the votes it was while it was in the first round though.

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
I'm going to vote for Exploration.
I could imagine it working very well with a Garden World and something like The Way, where the entire civilization is constantly on the move, with a select group constantly scouting ahead and starting new settlements. Why? Because the world is constantly evolving, there is a few hundred miles of habitable land at any given time, and the rest of the world is covered by a mist, with the inhabitable area that has no mist constantly pushing forward. Basically once you get to the Mist you are at the end of the world for all intents and purposes. It moves slow enough that people can afford to stop and rest for a few years, even decades if they settle soon enough, but the is a constant movement and exploration effort, especially by adventerers. Player Characters would be the ones out exploring this new territory, scouting spots for settlements, etc. High level adventurers may even decide to push forward into the mist, to discover what lays beyond, and why it destroys everything it rolls across. If my text is blue, I'm being sarcastic. But you already knew that, right?

Voting Genesis. It's a Garden World, where better place to tell such a story than where everything is green and growing and alive?

Genesis all the way.
The entire place is teeming with new life-energy from Creation, the ancient unknowable gods watch over, hoping that they get it right this time and try not to look at that Other Place.call me Dragon

Re: Vote Up A Campaign Setting 2 (Now Voting: Theme!)
Don't assume that. There could be a surge in votes for the other options, or a mass switch-over from Genesis.
And you shouldn't really vote based on how many votes have been cast anyway, whether it's skipping on what you really wanted because something else is so far ahead or not voting for something because it's far ahead. That probably kept something like Cliff World from winning the setting vote, because everybody saw it was between Garden and Space. Maybe if somebody voted Cliff instead, people would have thought "Ooh, other people like cliff, maybe it can win!" and voted for it instead and the whole world(-to-be) would be different! It's been a bit, GitP.
