[PitP] Pokemon in the Playground (Looking for Players!)

I think there might have been other threads like this before, but I’d like to try making one too.
As you likely gathered from the title, I am attempting to gather interest for a Pokemon RP. It is in a new region, but the Pokemon are a mix from previous generations, but mostly from Unova, as it is a more urban region. There aren’t any set rules, but try to be reasonable about your Pokemon’s abilities (If don’t want to see a Sunkern shrugging Hyper Beam from a Dragonite as though it was a gentle breeze), though you can use a bit of the anime logic (using moves in unusual ways, but nothing too ridiculous, please).
Everyone will start with one relatively weak Pokemon of their choice, though it can later evolve into a stronger Pokemon (I’m okay with something like Litwick, which can evolve into a very strong Pokemon but is currently weak). And try to be realistic about levelling up (if it takes like 16 levels for something to evolve, assuming that they start out at level 5, it won’t evolve in three days IRL), though I don’t have any actual rules and you can just ask when you feel your Pokemon should evolve or learn a new move. Also, you have to state their four moves. There is a bit of leeway as to the moves a Pokemon can know at it’s level, but don’t make a level 5 Oshawott know Hydro Pump, for instance, though I’m not making you start out with just Tackle and Growl. And, of course, it has to be a move that the Pokemon can actually learn.

Well, if somebody really wants to play as a Pokemon who like follows the PC's around, that's okay. But I think most people should be trainers.

Sure, as long as they aren't too powerful. And his/her Pokemon have to start at the same level as everyone else.

I recall the forums of one of the big Pokémon sites referred to its moderators as Gym Leaders and admins as the Elite Four, and when the RP section started they had those roles within the game.

You can't steal balls with teleport. That would require telekinesis. (Though I think Abra can learn the latter upon evolution as well...)

No, I mean to break into Professor (SPECIES OF TREE)'s lab and grab them.

While I'm at it, steal and sedate a bunch of Voltorbs from other trainers and leave them in their place.

Oooo! Me! My character would enjoy the cute zigzagoon, while I would enjoy the Pick Up ability.

Pick Up is the best. One time I got two Ultra Balls, one Great Ball, a Revive, two Full Heals, and a Full Restore before I even fought the first gym leader.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna start with yet, but rest assured my character will destroy in battle at higher levels. I think I might start with Lotad or Horsea... Swift Swim is a great ability.

I might go for a budding pokemon documentarist that uses electric types or something though. Cameraman appeals to me as well. Would anybody like to make a pair with me? Siblings or friends or something, travel around together, use complimentary teams? Sound enticing to anybody?

How complimentary do you want? I think a sun and rain combo might be cute, but may clash in actual practice.
