    Default House Rules for Sleeping

    Hey guys,

So my players informed me from information gained in the Playground that there is no RAW on sleeping.

I was wondering if people could assist me in creating house rules on sleeping in 3.5 d&d. I need something viable that my players can incorporate--preferably something that eventually leads to fatigue, and then exhaustion.

Other than that, what house rules do other DMs use?

And does anyone incorporate house rules for eatings, drinking--or is there RAW for that?

Yeah man, I'd get out while you still enjoy d&d.

As much as it sucks to say, some people aren't meant to DM because they lack the ability to make judgment calls. These people include:

    The drug-addled
    Furries
People who buy Backyard Poultry magazine
People who post on Rants and Raves (craigslist)
    People who buy hummers
    Professional laser tag players

    And this list goes on.

A sleeping character takes -10 on their Listen check.

Beyond that, making the character Fatigued for every 24 hours of non-sleep would probably work. Fatigued characters becoming Fatigued end up Exhausted by the normal rules. Fatigued takes 8 hours to sleep off and Exhausted taked 1 additional hour.

I'm not sure if there is anything past Exhausted, although I'm sure you could make something up if -6 STR, -6 DEX, and inability to run or charge is not bad enough.

Thanks for the idea. I think I'll implement that effect.

As for the eating rules--found some RAW on them.
