This is a thread where we Playgrounders, and LGBTAitp in particular, gather to discuss, share our experiences, give general advice and support one another in such matters as arise relating to, well, the world beyond heteronormativity.

Please note that although the title of the thread names only the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Asexual communities, it is intended as an all inclusive environment.

• Everyone is welcome. Let's try to keep from seeming otherwise.
• Keep this topic free of politics and religion. (so, don't violate the board rules, plz)
• It's beyond the scope of this thread to discuss whether LGBT is "Right." (And really, most discussions probably should avoid moralizing too much anyway)
• Please refrain from posting sexually explicit content. (Keep it friendly as well as board safe )

Not really. I just know it's supposed to be a bit of satire on how the media reports on stories involving trans* people.

So, erm, some awkwardness I'm slowly realizing.

I am, although not exclusively, mostly sexually attracted to people with male bodies. I am, however, definitely not attracted to male genitals. The concept rather freaks me out actually. This is starting to weird me out. Not going to go into details due to forum rules, but...why, brain? How can I manage to be sexually attracted to someone and not like their genitals?

Dated a girl like that once. Was rather weird. Got a story about some kind of indecent exposure/threatened sexual assault with some kind of ex boyfriend as the only genesis of it that she could place.

Seemed to mostly die down the further along we got though. Whether there's any remote similarities between the two, I couldn't say, nor did I have access to the most crucial information for me to really speak from the scenario to give you any kind of... well, feedback.

"Few months" when it comes to figuring out such things is not much. I'm slowly realizing that I'm not sure if it's a phobia or just not liking certain things. Doesn't help that I really don't have much experience with certain matters before the whole phobia-inducing mess started, so I can't always sort out what's what.

This wouldn't necessarily be odd. From what I've seen attraction can easily be to particular body parts, and some exclusions are pretty much expected. In this case, its to a body part that represents a fairly small part of the body, that is usually hidden anyways.

Still, if you already knew something, several months later it's a bit odd for you to say you're just now realizing it as you did, which is the only real point there. Clarification is a hell of a drug though.

And, well, generally revulsion is revulsion rather than just not liking things, so there's at least the severity of the stomach churning that can be used as a rough guide on the one hand. :/
