I honestly couldn't tell that was supposed to represent your character going invisible either, Kev. I just thought it was a gray thing there for the sake of having a gray thing there.

Gonna have a new small comic up tomorrow. I'm only drawing the ridiculous worm pirate guy and not the other 2 mooks up there though. Because I'm lazy too sometimes. *shrugs*

Indeed, I do agree that it was unclear. Thus, sound effects and sackings of the special effects crew for future comics.

Also, apparently my tablet is not feeling blue at all. Which is a bad thing for tablets, as it means I lack one of three basal colours. Will have a comic up when I fix it! ^_^

I apologize for not making any comics, but the last few days have been especially busy/ procrastinatey for me. But after Tiff finishes her comic, making a new comic will be my TOP PRIORITY!

I will try to remember it in my next comic, but the snow could have stopped. Granted, that could mean that it is simply building up to attack the heroic band of misfits, but still! :3

Don't even TRY it. You'll be loopy for most of the day (if not all of it)

I was unable to stay awake for a day and stayed foggy and loopy for another three or four. It wasn't until day five or six that I started to get up and stay out of the bed for longer than it took to use the bathroom or take my medicine.

Got back from my wisdom teeth removal. I had 4 of them removed, but quite honestly, I feel great. My lower jaw feels numb, and I was bleeding a lot when I got home, but I feel completely in control of my actions, well balenced, and not even in any pain. I haven't even taken very many painkillers.

I was looking forward to being loopy, and hallucinating under the gas like they said I would, but it's all a huge letdown. I feel completely normal.

So I'll probably have a comic up pretty soon.

Sorta. My mom, who went though a similar thing, told me I'd have weird dreams. Nope. Don't remember a thing.

I believe it varies a lot from person to person, though I am no expert on medicine or neurobiology. Kind of like dreaming, some people have lucid dreams often, some have barely any, some have strange dreams and some have mundane ones. It might even vary as often as dreams do in normal sleep, though I do not suggest getting gassed with anaesthetics often enough to test that.

That said, if your normal is drawing ABR comics, then that sounds like quite the fun normal, even without hallucinations. ^_^

Not entirely sure why the most prevalent gender of the group matters, so I would suggest it was where they were standing, on the worm's head. :3

On that note, I wonder where exactly the Kobold and Peach are standing compared to the worm attack. Apparently they can have a calm conversation without even making notice of it, yet still be hit by falling debris. To the charting room!

It doesn't matter, really. It's just that women make up the majority. Nitrine, Spellscar, Skimmer and Cyban vs. Iron Ice, Colbalt and Dr. Mandragola, the women outnumber men.

Really though, all it was was an excuse to make the comment of "villain" sound even more strange than it is.

Wow, I guess tooth removal actually did end up taking me out of commission a little bit, because I haven't made any comics since.

Tomorrow I go back to class, and things look like they're gonna be more intense for me. Excuse the lack of comics from time to time, but I'll try my hardest to make the time to contribute.

Absolutely dashing, and I await seeing this technique in action in the comics. Cyban too looks really well done, if creepier than I pictured her looking in a more detailed picture.

I wonder if I should invest in a tablet. Right now I'm just drawing sketches on paper, inking them on another paper using a light table, scanning them, then editing them in photoshop. I'm beginning to think my approch may be holding me back and also be overly complicated. What would you all recommend?

Also, Grlump? In my theatre lecture this morning, I think I figured out what the hell the bird-thing-guy was that keeps showing up in your comics. It's a depiction of Ill Dottre, or the Doctor, of Commedia Dell'arte (evidently, my favourite character of Commedia Dell'arte, which I performed in Highschool). A rarer depiction (I can't even locate it in Google Images) but quickly flashed by in a slideshow during the lecture.

Am I on the money, did you actually intend it to be something else?

I bought a cheap Wacom tablet recently almost precisely because I wanted to cut out the middleman. Of course, I was totally prepared to suck at using the thing early on, and that's something you're gonna have to know, too. You basically have to spend a few weeks (Maybe even a month or two) re-learning your drawing habits and looking at tips for whatever program you're using (GIMP's an okay program for art, but Photoshop is much better - pity about the price) until you're back on track.

But once you've figured things out and ironed out the kinks in your tablet and chosen program, you may have a much better time of it. Took me most of the Christmas season to really figure out my tablet, but now I'm able to move on to fancy colour tutorials and learn how I'm going to do things, because you really do have to develop a digital style that suits you and your tools.

As someone who enjoys learning new things in the hobby, it's been incredibly fun. It's also nice to be able to draw with layers. Means I can make the skeletons and construction lines and then remove or hide the layers later, and even layer parts of the drawing itself. Fun!

Well, Avatar Battle Royale started (and still is, sometimes) as a game where people draw their avatar fighting someone else's avatar.

It evolved when people started adding consistent plotlines to their posts, and the "plots" came. Currently we have one running one, which started a few months ago.

In any case, to join, just draw your avatar killing someone else's avatar, or something. We're pretty laid-back.
