[Chaotic Bob]

"Well...you'd probably have to change a little...but if you have regrets, it seems like you want to...doesn't it?"
Still a shy tone, despite trying to sound more supportive for the sniper-cat.

The clouds, there's a voice in the clouds.

[Reinholdt]

"... Yeah, probably. Never really liked me anyways."
Reinholdt grins at Kara.
And drinks rum.

[Chaotic Bob]

That rum...Kara wonders if he's one of the few denizens here who happens to get drunk.
Hopefully not. That could be inconvenient.

"Nothing you like about yourself?"

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt's already tipsy. It's half the reason he's sharing so much.
"Well... there's... ummm..."
...
"I think I have a beautiful fur coat. And am really good hunting down treasure and stealing it. I suppose those count."
Reinholdt nods heavily, sways a bit, steadies himself.
Drinks rum.

Whee! The Star powerslides out of Trog's, very, very thankful for his narrow escape from getting the tar beaten out of him.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen looks at Reinholdt for a few moments, and then at his drink.
She bends over, just a little bit, and stretches a hand out towards his rum.

Hopefully the cat won't mind too much that she's trying to cut his booze supply off.
"A nice coat is good, so is finding treasure. Maybe change that last part from stealing though..."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt blinks as his rum is taken. He wasn't expecting that!
"Aren't you a little young to be drinking?"
The cat believes she's just going to take a gulp and give it back.

[Chaotic Bob]

She does take the drink closer to her, a rime of frost edging around its container and her fingers.
Little Kara appears to be trying to freeze his drink.
Sure, it's alcohol and doesn't freeze well anyway, but she's got magic and...and...silver dragon powers!
Those can totally overcome the demands of chemistry.

"By human standards, I guess...but I think dragon digestion can filter alcohol fairly easily."
Just like everything else.
Some dragons survive on rocks!

[Reinholdt]

Well it's tavern bought rum. Kara can probably do whatever she can do to it.

"Umm... right. And so... you're taking and chilling my rum... because...? Isn't that something you normally do with champagne?" Reinholdt frowns. Waves his paw a bit to catch the attention of a barkeep. If Kara's going to chill and drink his rum, he might need to order another.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen's gaze follows the direction of his hand, towards whomever it appears to be signalling.
She'll be applying a slow head-shake, in hopes that the person will get the "he's had plenty" signal.

No need for completely wasted sniper-rifle wielding animals.

"Freezing it for later. I think you should probably take a little break now...this stuff isn't good for your liver in large quantities."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt lowers his paw.
"Oh bloody hell. You're the fourth person in as many days to get after me for drinking. WHY IS EVERYONE SO CONCERNED LATELY?!" Reinholdt says, flailing away.

*flail flail*
*teeter*

Reinholdt grabs the edge of the table, keeping himself from falling out of his seat.

[Chaotic Bob]

Poor kitty.
People are trying to look after his liver and their sanity.
How dare they!

"A little drinking isn't too bad...just concerned that you'll hurt yourself and go a little overboard."
And do something regrettable.
He already said the redemption stuff failed, so who knows what he's like drunk?

She tilts a little, prepared to help if he falls out of the chair.

[Lost_Deep]

"Heh heh heh."

A dwarf with grey skin, a black beard, and blue glowing eyes turns to examine the small cat.

"Aw, they're doing you a good turn. If you don't have the brain and the liver for the stuff, it'll make you a mess. Seen it happen too many times. Some humans can pull it off, but not many. And a li'l guy like you shouldn't have more than a cup a day."

...Says the dwarf with an empty flagon on top of a bloody bar stool.

[Reinholdt]

"Hmph! I know when I've had enough."
This usually revolves around being completely wasted and unable to think properly at all. Drink to forget!
He glares at the dwarf that speaks up.

"Whatever..." Reinholdt pouts and gives up trying to get more booze. He supposes he has to get home and be somewhat sober so he doesn't overdose on Liquid Agony.

Remarkably, he manages to stay on his chair.

[Chaotic Bob]

Being completely wasted is bad though!
In Karaglen's eyes, anyway.
Makes people do stupid things.

She peers at Reinholdt for a moment.
"Dangerous town to get drunk in, these days."

[Reinholdt]

"Pfft. I've been drunk several times and nothing bad's happened yet. I think people feel bad taking advantage of the drunk ones. Or something. I dunno." Reinholdt shrugs.

Of course, half the time, he's alone in his room and another fourth of the time he's with others, so that helps keep him protected.

[Lost_Deep]

"Any town is dangerous to get drunk in. That's why I draw a solid line. If you go out drunk, you are a lucky soul to awake again. Too many die that way. Especially if there's stuff around to eat you. Not only are you easy to get, but you're extra tasty."

[Chaotic Bob]

"Sadly my duty to try to make sure you don't walk into danger...so there."
No more booze.

Darn, it has to suck picking a cleric of all people to talk to!

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt points at the stitches in his ear. They're pretty obvious.

"Oh yes. It's soooo much more dangerous for me to go out drunk. I got this, sober, out of nowhere. Just a random attack from one of the many people who hate me for what I've done. I can't think of a single day I haven't had to look over my shoulder. I'm always in danger and a drink is not going to change that."

Reinholdt scowls. Now he wants to drink more than ever.

"But as I said, whatever. Done for the night. Fine. Won't drink anymore today, k? Happy?"

[Zefir]

Liache and Solomon come down the stairs.

And as they return they will be followed by the shadow.

[Chaotic Bob]

Karaglen eyes his ear and shrugs.
"Got away with stitches sober. Probably gotten away with worse, drunk."
Seems like a straight-forward argument.

"Okay...just a friendly look-out."

Which is precisely when a dead-time glob smacks her in the head.
Player is needed elsewhere it seems.

[Halae]

A young boy, probably about 16 walks into the tavern and looks at the different people. Must find more likely prospects for shots! He'll order himself something weak and then use his tiny wings to fly up to the rafters - he enjoys having a vantage.

[Zefir]

Fade will look after this angel like thing.

"Today is really a scary day. First these mind song controller, then this immortal guy and a cat adn now this. I really wonder what the next thing entering this building will be."

[Reinholdt]

"... Yeah, probably." Reinholdt admits.

"Friendly look out?"
Reinholdt starts looking around, wondering what the heck the girl meant.
Silly inability to see deadtime.

Suddenly Zee!

Or...

Maybe not quite so suddenly.

She just walked inside. Has a bit of a shiner at the moment, actually. It looks like someone punched her in the face. Probably because someone did. Cosmo smirks slightly at the sight.

Injured Zee usually means someone is going to get stabbed in their sleep.

"Hiya everyone! Sorry it took so long to get back! The Kitchen sent a cutlery golem after someone again."

There comes much nodding and murmuring of agreement from the tavern occupants. Apparently this happens often.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt glances over at Zee and gives a tipsy wave.
"Oh hey Zee. Been a while."

[VampireRot]

Into the tavern, after Zee, jumps a certain little black cat. Through the window. The closed window, which appears unharmed despite the feline that just hopped through it.

The kitten nonchalantly hops up onto a table and looks around for a sucker person to feed it.

[Lost_Deep]

A Dwarf at the bar eyes Zee. "It looks like you know what's goin on 'round here. I'm looking for a job-anything that'll get me mining stone or breaking beasts. I'm not picky."

Zee might notice that the bar stool he is sitting on was clean last time she saw it. Right now it's bloodstained.

[Rebonack]

"Hiya Rein!" Zee replies in that bouncy tone of hers. "You look kind of hammered today! The dwarves pull it off better than you do though."

A table full of Dwarf Fortress dorfs raise their mugs of ale with a cheer. And then continue telling tales of harrowing encounters with deadly carp.

Then she is spoken to!

"Uumm... There's a mountain nearby where a buncha dwarves work. They probably dig holes in rocks there?" she sounds uncertain though.

But then...

She sees it.

Her eyes narrow.

Teeth bare.

"That cat."

She points at the small black feline dramatically!

"I'm on to you!"

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt narrows his eyes at Zee.
"I am most certainly NOT hammered!"
...
Not for lack of trying. They just won't let him.

Reinholdt turns to look at Eldy.
Another cat? Interesting...
