[Nexus] Trog's Tavern CCXXXVI

[Lost_Deep]

The girl that was not a girl until about half an hour ago may notice a new person in a shady corner. Regaining her composure from the noise, a woman in a trench coat and a hat that hides her eyes seems to be waiting for someone.

On the far side of the table from her, out of the shadows, is a block of wood.

1:1 deals. Make any request.

Jamie shudders, still quite deaf for the moment, and looks aorund, then spots FHR!

Not to be confused with FHR, of course.

...but wait, isn't Reinholdt a guy?

*blink blink*

And so, she stares.

When Catgirl FHR's gaze passes over the small black and white cat, it looks up to match her's. Though the feline bears a striking resemblance to a certain other cat Reinholdt had met in another tavern, this kitty is a bit older and has different markings.

The cat narrows its eyes at the catgirl, disliking her for whatever reason, and turns back to its salmon.

Cats never need a reason to dislike someone or something.

They just do so.

Jeany stumbles into the tavern, looking rather frazzled from the sonic assault. She carefully pulls her hands away from her aural pits and...

Well.

Looks around.

Human. Cat. Cat-girl. Injured lady with lumpy forehead. Guy in shady corner.

Quite the crew tonight!

The jeanstealer settles down at a table and begins looking over the menu. Totally oblivious to the fact that she just sat down next to a table packed to the gills with SPESS MEHREENS! Not to be confused with Space Marines. These fellows looks extremely derpy.

[Reinholdt]

Jamie's probably never even seen Fez Hat Reinholdt's regular catboy form, which is very different from Flaming Hawt Reinholdt's human form. Blink all you want!

She frowns at the dealmaker. She doesn't trust shady looking deals setting up shop in a tavern. Something shifty about it.

She stares at the somewhat familiar cat though. It doesn't seem to be Chione.
Hmmm...
*stare*

For a little bit until she notices Jamie.
"Yes?"

[The Bushranger]

Pfft, those cats all look the same to her.
Except Mr. Buttons, of course.

"Oh. Um, sorry. You just looked a little familiar," Jamie says apologetically, upon her noticing being noticed.

[Reinholdt]

"Oh? You know a lot of catboyyy... catgirls?" Reinholdt asks, frowning a bit at the end.

The frown is probably really familiar. Seeing as how much grumpy Rein does it.

[The Bushranger]

"Catfolk," Jamie corrects, but nods. "A few. You wouldn't happen to know a Reinholdt, would you? You look a lot like him," the redheaded Magical Girl observes with a frown of her own.

[Murkus]

Percival likely departs shortly, his little 'friends' trailing behind him. What a horrid visit.

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt facepalms.
"I am Rei... wait. Which one do you know?" She raises her eyebrow. She doesn't recognize Jamie at all.

[Rebonack]

His friends look really strange and gross.

Like several little demons.

Maybe that's what they are?

Jeany orders some Trogtilla chips! Because Nachos are always tasteh.

One of the SPESS MEHREENS! behind her pipes up with a very witty, "You want some HERESY to go with that, XENO?"

Much stupid laughter follows.

Jeany turns around to peer at the bunch of guys that look like a troop of burly men with tiny heads wearing refrigerators. She has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Or what connection it might have to her.

"Uumm... No...?"

"But he's a...wait, there's more than one?"
Jamie blinks in surprise.
"You don't live at GLoG? Hang out with my dad a lot?"
Suspiciously a lot, even.

A dwarven paladin who has been for the most part drinking by herself looks up in time to see these space marines, and wonder what the heck they mean by "Xeno." She looks at the "Xeno" to see what her reaction is.

[Reinholdt]

"There's... four or five I think. Have you ever seen me hang out at GLoG? Who is your dad?" Catgirl Rein asks.

[The Bushranger]

"Well, not a girl you," Jamie points out reasonably. "My dad's Tobias - Tobias Druid. Maybe you've heard of him?"
Who hasn't!

[Rebonack]

Jeany's reaction?

Confusion, mostly.

She's doing her best to ignore the SPESS MEHREENS! and their ambient aura of stupid. And what better way to ignore them than by nomming on the nachos she just got!

Mmmm... nachos...

Sure she prefers Denim to an almost obsessive degree, but like any Tyranid Jeany is an omnomnomnivore.

If it fits in her mouth she'll eat it.

If it's too big she can just dice it up and then eat it.

If it can't be diced then she can melt it and then chug it.

If it can't be melted or diced?

Well...

Then she's a sad little 'Nid...

[Reinholdt]

"Well, not a girl you," Jamie points out reasonably. "My dad's Tobias - Tobias Druid. Maybe you've heard of him?"
Who hasn't!

"Oh yeah, I know him." Reinholdt grins. Stole his hat in the other timeline. Though his was not nearly as sinister.

"Who are you then?"

Jamie would curtsey, but, she's seated.
So she simply nods formally!
"Jamie Misaki Catherine Druid," she introduces herself.
Also Princess of Vulpania!
But that's a secret. Maybe still.

Since she seems to be ignoring the space marines, the paladin goes back to her drinks. The dwarf believes that the worst thing one could possibly be in this world is a bully, and while she isn't willing to start a fight, she would have been more than willing to tell those marines off for harassing the "Xeno."

Thankfully, though, the "Xeno" seems to be enjoying herself right now. Thank Berronar. She looks around to see what else is going on.

Ally walks back into the Tavern. Her left arm is still in a sling, but she otherwise appears healthy and happy. She sits at the bar and orders some ale before looking around the room.

[Reinholdt]

Jamie would curtsey, but, she's seated.

Ashley has been staying in the tavern for a few days, and she's at the bar right now. She's been doing her best to ignore the fights and space marines.

"What? Really?! But you're like... a year old!"

"Year and a half, Reality Relative Time," Jamie says, then giggles. "Mom says I have Nexus Accellerated Ageing Syndrome, though. Or had. I'm not aging fast anymore."

Ally takes her ale and moves over to sit next to Ashley. Hey! How's it going?

[Reinholdt]

"Uh-huh. Well, last I saw you, you were a still a baby." From an affair even.

Catgirl Fez Hat Reinholdt shrugs.

[Rebonack]

Doing her best to ignore the SPESS MEHREENS, yes.

Though it becomes rather hard for Jeany to ignore them when one of them rises to his feet, clomps up behind her, and knocks her plate of nachos onto the floor.

The plate shatters, spilling meat, cheese, and chips all over the place.

"Wut R u going 2 do nao XENO!" the MEHREEN bellows, both of his eyes pointing off in opposite directions. "R u going 2 eat ur HERESY?"

It sounds like he's mentally straining to speak each and every one of those words.

Jeany is starting to grit her teeth here, rage building up inside her. The Hive Mind's suggestion that she needs to eat more people is becoming more attractive moment by moment.

Then the MEHREEN yanks her chair out from under her.

"XENOS dun get chair! That is HERESY!"

"Huuuuur!"
"DERP!" agree the other MEHREENS.

Ashley grins as Ally sits next to her. "Alright. How's your arm?" The space marines get a side glance, and the illusionist's hand wanders toward her bag of sand.

[LOTRfan]

Uh, oh! The Paladin immediately gets up, and offers the poor Xeno a hand to help her up. While doing this, she suggests to the Marines that they apologize and leave, before she calls Baby in for backup.

"Well, that would explain why I don't remember a Girlholdt," Jamie says with a giggle.

Oh dear. She's nicknamed him.

I'm, uh, fine... The redhead looks over at the marines as well, her good hand reaching towards an empty bottle. I think I may have found... um... What the Hell are they doing?
