[Nexus] Trog's Tavern CCXXXVI

[ThirdEmperor]

One ear flops back, uncovering the rabbit's right eye, which opens just the tiniest bit to give Reinholdt an irate stare, grumbling indistinctly. "Shaddup.... stoopid kitty... of a uniform..." Is about the most that can be deciphered between bits of incomprehensible swearing.

[Reinholdt]

FHR just shrugs and shakes her head at the rabbit and noms her food. Omnomnom.

[Artemis97]

A blob of deadtime ooze slinks away from Raril as the drow sits up and stretches. He knocks back the last of his wine and stands, feeling that he needed to stop sitting around and go do something.

[Reinholdt]

Fez Hat Reinholdt, the kitty from another timeline that well... looks like Reinholdt, looks up and starts when she sees Raril.
She bounds over.
"Wow. Oh wow. It's you. It's really you. It's a pleasure to meet you in person Mister Raril sir. Are you here to perform?"

[Rebonack]

The moment the dead-time leaves Raril is the moment Divaonar will leap off a table and try to hitch a ride on the drow's back!

Rawr!

Thankfully he's human-shaped at the moment.

Otherwise having a crocodile-sized chimera jump on your back might hurt.

"Hi Father!" comes the gleeful greeting!

"Are you going somewhere? Can I come too?"

Don't answer 'no' Raril.

You would break his heart.

How could you live with that?

There don't seem to be any other chimeras in Trog's at the moment. At least none of the ones Rebo has been controlling. Wonder where they all went?

[Zefir]

On a free table appears a little green creature with a yellow collar. The cameleon itself is only a few inch big and appeares like it is a cuddly toy. The fact that it's moving and drinking with a drinking straw may break this image.

[Artemis97]

Raril gives Fez Hatted Reinholdt a confused look. "Performing? No, I'm not Oof!" The drow nearly falls to his knees when he's jumped on, but manages to stay on his feet. "Divaonar! Let go of me!"

[Rebonack]

Divaonar releases Raril in a hurry. That voice sounds serious! He mutters a sheepish sorry before moving to a nearby chair.

...

He'll probably sit there.

Quietly.

Until Raril is done chatting with the kitty from another dimension.

Or he might be distracted by a chameleon! Those are always worth being distracted by.

The half-drow moves toward the lizard and reaches out veeeery carefully to poke at the critter. Hopefully this won't result in any bites. Lizard bites can be terrible!

Raril sighs as he watches his son slink off. He probably shouldn't have shouted like that.

"Divaonar, I'm sorry too." The drow says. "I didn't mean to shout, but you can't just jump on me like that. I nearly fell over, and well..." Raril scratches at the side of his head. "I could've hurt you. Not intentionally, of course, but I'm a little twitchy when it comes to things grabbing me from behind. Do you understand?"

[Zefir]

"EEEEp" the cameleon makes when poked. And it starts to run away. What indeed will look quiet funny since he seems to run like the grim reaper is behind him, but only makes a few inch per hour.

[Reinholdt]

Fez Hat Reinholdt looks about ready to gush over something and burst, but bites her tongue for now. Raril seems to be talking to a chimera of some sort and it seems somewhat important.

Divaonar is totally a half drow at the moment!

Which means he looks like an eight year old in human terms in rather modern looking attire. And a backpack! A backpack with pictures of pyramids on it. White hair, blue-black skin, and steely blue eyes.

Most have gotten the last from his mom.

"Yes Father, I'm sorry..." he replies, watching the lizard out of the corner of his eye. The lad puts his hands in his lap and begins kicking his feet. Kickity kick!

He reaches out to prod the lizard again.

[Zefir]

The lizard will still try to run away in panic. After all his skin feels soft, nothing you would thought of ba lizard creatures. It's still paniced.

a young human, in his early twenties enters the tavern, sitting down at the bar, and ordering a mead, sounding like a man who survives on wit and the ability to just leg is then things start to look bad. he wears clothes that a travelling bard would wear, with a rapier at his side, and a little light armour looking out here and there. the rest of his appearance looks fairly well groomed for a traveller except for his windswept short brown hair, and the stubble on his chin.

the man looks around, trying to catch they eye of any "fair ladies" nearby

The young man may notice a woman in a shadowy corner. Her face is fair, but she seems uninterested in the going-ons around her. She's wearing a trench coat and a hat that hides her eyes. On the far side of the table from her, facing the rest of the tavern, is a block of wood with '1:1 Deals. Make any request' on it. She is currently talking with a female human NPC.

A small smile plays across the drow's face as he watches his son poke at the lizard. It reminded Raril of the boy's mother. He needed to find out what had happened to her. But... there was a cat still standing next to him who looked like she really had something she needed to say. He raises an eyebrow at her. "Can I help you with something?"

[Reinholdt]

"Oh my god he's talking to me. Hi. I'm Reinholdt. I'm your biggest fan and I own all your albums. My favorite one was Black and Blue and I know it's sad and you totally deserved to be treated way better than how Quinn treated you and I'm really sorry about that but the whole thing just really speaks from the soul you know andI'vegonetoeveryoneofyourconcerts andwillyousignanautographforme?" Reinholdt digs into her hat and pulls out a piece of paper and a pen and shoves it at Raril enthusiastically.

the man, samuel, watches her for a while, then orders another drink. both drinks in hand he will sit down at a table nearby, and try to listen in on the conversation

Raril's left a bit dumbfounded.

"Albums? What? Who's Quinn? What are you talking about, Reinholdt? And why are you a girl?"

[Lost_Deep]

What are these two talking about, hmm?

"There is no way you are serious. What's the catch?"

"We have already gone over the trade. There is nothing more."

"Come, on. What's in it for you?"

"A deal is made."

"That's it?"

"Yes."

"I don't have to give you a huge bag of coins or my soul or my firstborn or a favor or anything?"

"Some small things would be worth a but favor. This is beyond that."

"Well, fine. Sure. Set me up. Shish. I lose nothing."

"Done."

"Nothing happened."

"Exactly what we agreed on happened."

"Yeah, sure thing."

The NPC gets up to leave, heading towards the door. The woman in the trenchcoat stays where she is.

[Reinholdt]

"Oh. OH. Oh right. I'm so sorry. So so sorry. Things are so similar here, I just... forget sometimes. I didn't mean to get so caught up. I'm so embarrassed..." She has fur! No blushing can be seen, I'm sure. Reinholdt licks her paw and rubs her ear, in a manner akin to rubbing the back of one's neck.

"Hmmm... short answer is I'm a Reinholdt from a different timeline brought here as a Thanksmas present. And I'm not normally a girl, but some random Nexus person thought I'd have 'fun' experiencing it and refused to change me back. You're a big star over where I'm from. "

[Artemis97]

"Really?" Raril was clearly intrigued. "How did that happen?"

[Reinholdt]

"Oh. Well, you started off in local taverns here I believe, but soon were performing professionally. I think the fact that your manager was a genius when it came to landing you gigs and promoting you really helped the career. It wasn't long before you were pretty much the top Nexus performer." Behind every great pop artist is a great manager?

[Artemis97]

The drow frowns a bit. He didn't like the sound of a manager. Still, if it got him fame and fortune...

"Who's my manager?"

[ThirdEmperor]

Suddenly, the lizard running around the bar may find itself being pounced upon by a small, chestnut rabbit, which attempts to pin it in place with one paw. "Stop squeaking, miscreant. Now, who yoo running from anyways?" The rabbit demands, his accent making the whole thing sound quite silly.

[Reinholdt]

"Mmmm... the manager was your brother with the hard to pronounce name. You know, the one who left in exile with you and you two were always there for each other and stuff. I think it was... Sissyneon? No, that's not right..." Reinholdt frowns. It was a hard name!

[Artemis97]

"Sszinyon?!" Raril looked like he'd had a heart attack. "Hah... haha... That's... That's funny."

[Reinholdt]

"Yeah, that's it!" Reinholdt tilts her head, watching Raril laugh. "What's so funny?"
She really doesn't know.

[Zefir]

I don't know what you mean with small, but I assume for the lizard it will be very big. And suddendly he stops running away in panic glancing at the rabbit. he answers him in his own rabbit speech or whatever he just used.

"Miscreant. Excuse me long ear, but you sem to have made a mistake. I'm no Miscreant and now let me free."

"My brother and I, we..ah.. despise one another." The drow explains. "I could not even begin to tell you the attrocities he's commited just to make me suffer."
