How... meta. Though it presents interesting queries, for example, is the Dyviil narrator psychically weak, since presumably his choice of stabbing victim was chosen by the votes of the crowd. Or is it Gray Mage who was psychically susceptibable, what with him speaking up, when presumably someone else would have if the vote had swayed to someone else.

Maybe I'm thinking too much.

Also, my mind is split as to whether I want to die and get drunk, or survive.

Night 1

A few of the Kin were looking at who they should select as their next target.
“Let’s pick Fat Tony!” one said, delighted.
“Yeah,” another agreed, snickering, “He’s a big target!”
Upon hearing the mutterings of his fellow Kinsmen, Fat Tony, a lovable Water Kin, climbed onto the table, and hefting down his portly body, began to speak.
“Friends… Romans… Kinsmen… lend me your ears. I have been called Fat many times in my days as an ambassador. Certainly, I have come to accept it as my name. But what I cannot abide is what that name stands for. Friends, that name, and all the insults accompanying it, stand only for meanness and cruelty. Yes, it is discrimination based solely on appearance. And that is discrimination in its cruelest, lowest form. That is discrimination which our society should not succumb to, and that is discrimination which will destroy our nations. Put an end to this discrimination, and perhaps we will be able to focus on defeating our common enemy.”
There were more than a few Kin clapping, and one, with a tear in their eye, uttered, “That was beautiful!”
Another Kin pointed towards the ceiling, adding, “Yeah. You know what else is beautiful? That chandelier up there.”
Fat Tony looked up, “Yes, I suppose it is rather ni…”
But he would never finish his sentence. For at that moment, the chandelier fell from the ceiling, impaling him with its oddly-sharpened glass.
Everyone watched in stunned horror, not noticing who was missing from the table, and who was engaging in backdoor dealings in far-off corners.

Alexia stands and looks around the hall. She can feel the power emanating from the Dyvils and Anzjiels, but with them standing so close with the Elemental Kin, she's unable to get a clear sense of who is what.

Looking at those who are gathered near one of the more powerful sources, she decides to take charge. Bladescape, where were you during all of this?
