Well, say there was an achievement along the lines of "complete this on your first try without failing". If you fail, you'll get pretty annoyed by the fact that you never ever will be able of getting that achevement (barring the deletion of save data in some way or another). I.e. you'll be permanently disqualified from taking that achievement.

Ahhh, right. I don't recall any of those other then "special event achivements" that only work during holidays like Halloween and what not.

Oy vey, that sounds quite risky. Still, it wasn't that bad a night. I was actually pretty comfortable where I was. I just wish I could have gotten a full night of sleep.

It was a big boat, so I wasn't really in danger. The worst bit was when I woke up while walking what I later discovered to be two floors down from where I was sleeping, and on the other side of the boat. While being glared at by a security guard.

I will avoid that one. The shipping thread terrified me when it had me locked up in a dungeon and being abused by another playgrounder. Scary stuff that was.

The ninja train is exactly the max unspoilable size. This one is about half it's height.

ION: A bookshelf fell on my arm today. WTH?

ONION: I have two bookshelves, each of which I double stack the books on some of the shelves since I have so many. To remove both from my room I had to take out all the books, remove the bookshelves, and then put all the books back in again. I had to do the same thing today in reverse. No, the Xbox 360. Achievements on the 360 each give a number of Gamerscore points (which serve no purpose other than gamer-cred), and a user's Gamerscore total is visible on their Live profile. Eventually, everyone else jumped on the bandwagon and achievements became a meme.

Oh, and there are no such things as 'gold' achievements. At least, not for Live or Steam.

Hmmm, I've got some of those achievements. Self loathing goes for my first post ever. By complete accident it was a double post. Oh the embarrassment.
I'm pretty sure I got the Acceptance one a while ago, particularly around SMBG, though I don't frequent there much more. I know I have Pillar of the Community due to the response I got the first time I left in a dramatic fashion. Though I don't know if you guys talk about me when I'm not around. Maturity I got a while ago, I think perhaps when I was a Bugbear itp.

The only one I don't think I have is the memetic one. I don't recall ever having created anything that got remotely close to being a playground meme, unless you count getting eaten on the Kiss or Kill thread, largely due to my steak avatar.
