Natalie says the first sentence too quickly, and it may be obvious that she's saying it to cheer Reinholdt up. "I'd like to go speak to Magtok now, to see how I can help. Do you know where I could find him?"

[Reinholdt]

[National Park]

It's about this time that Ilpholin and Mister Squiggles, minus one leg, and a 10 year old catgirl robot arrive at the park, looking for Raril.
Hopefully they won't just miss him! That would be bad.

[Magcave]

"You mean one that's not up there giving a speech?" Reinholdt asks Natalie.
"Just wander around the cave. You'll bump into one."

Divaonar sails off straight up into the air!

Zoom!

Those sharp eyes of his focused on his surroundings searching for-

His sister!

"Father! Father!" yells the chimera from on high! "I see Ilpholin!"

Nice to have another (three and a half) pair of eyes in a high spot isn't it?

He continues to circle overhead for the time being, keeping a look out for anything unpleasant that might decide to ruin the little reunion down in the park.

As for K'rax... Finding her won't be hard. She's kind of hard to miss. The tricky part is getting her attention.

Raril stops when Divaonar shouts and turns around, scanning the area for his daughter.

[Mr. Moon]

Outside the MagCave

Moon's helmet remains still and resolute as Saurous speaks to it, trapped in it's expression of faceless disinterest. Behind the red lenses, the necromancer can just see her eye, shut tight against the pain. Her left hand, uninjured and still suited in armour, is shut into a tight and trembling fist. When Saurous lifts her wrist to get a better look at the damage, she winces away, grunting.

At Saurous' question, she is silent for a painfully long moment. Finally, she nods, a tiny little nod that's almost impossible to see with the limited range of motion her helmet has. And then Moon Called tells Saurous something she's never told him before.
"I'll... I'll need some help..."

[Reinholdt]

[National Park]

It's at this time that Ilpholin steps into view.
"Daddy!"
She grins and runs at Raril to hug him.
She can be such a little girl sometimes.

Raril is surprised by the hug, and honestly half expects to be stabbed. Once he realizes he's not bleeding, though, he'll gladly return it.

"Ilpholin, what are you doing here?" He asks, concerned. "It's not safe."

[Reinholdt]

[National Park]

"Looking for you dummy. Don't you know it's not safe?" Ilpholin grins and lets go.

"Course, I hear you turned down sanctuary."

[Rebonack]

[National Park]

Yeah, it's really not safe!

You know just how unsafe it is out here?

A chimera-like starspawn just landed nearby!

The half vulture half crocodile half jackal half impala is one scary looking monster! And it has way more halves than the universe is comfortable with.

The rather sizable starspawn begins padding around near the pair of drow, occasionally glancing toward them before glancing off at the surroundings.

...

Is it thinking about eating Ilpholin? Sure hope not!

Raril doesn't seem concerned by the chimera. "I did, but only because I need to find my wife. I can't just run and hide when she needs me. I can't run and hide like a coward. Not today." Because some things were more important, important enough to risk your life for.

[Reinholdt]

[National Park]

Ilpholin's hands twitch towards her whip, but she doesn't attack the starspawn since Raril seems so unconcerned about it.

"Well let's get looking then. Should probably keep moving anyways."

[National Park]

The chimera's ears suddenly perk up at...

Something.

A rather nasty sound that's getting closer.

Fast.

He comes bounding toward the pair of drow!

"Father! There are spawn of Gul'thar coming this way! If we stay and fight it'll put Ilpholin in danger since she isn't warded," the chimera explains in a rather child-like voice. Really doesn't match the thing's appearance at all. "There are more Starspawn and more Far-Beasts showing up by the minute. The longer we wait the harder it'll be for you to reach Mother."

Raril scowls at the news. He reaches out to Ilpholin, muttering a quick spell. Should she let him touch her, she'll find the tree-like elder sign has been painted onto her skin. It was a temporary measure, but it would have to do for now. "That'll protect you, somewhat." He explains. "But really? I think we should run." The drow nods towards the towering figure of K'rax and sets off, assuming his daughter would follow.

[National Park]

Ilpholin lets him, though almost imperceptibly prepares to flinch away. She doesn't leave much to the imagination with her clothing, but she doesn't show that much skin either. She probably doesn't even notice the mark right now and just think it's the spell.

Of course, different things are on her mind as she starts running with Raril. "Father? Did that thing just call you father?" Her eyes narrow with suspicion at the chimera. SUSPICION.

Mister Squiggles and Margret provide the red shirt role rear guard.

[Off to R'lyeh!]

Lewis is momentarily distracted by Trilby but notices the entrance to Chtulhu's bedroom.

"Groovy, this must be our way in or I am a Yorkshire dragonfly!"

He completely ignores the stairs and simply flies down, Pixies don't consider stairs sneaky at all. They are creaky.

[Lucy's Mind]

The bed crashes against Them, breaking both bed and bones in the process. Although They seem uncaring for these bodies and begin lifting off the fragments of the bed, limping toward Little Lucy and Vicky.

Strangely, the bed's shadow appears to be in the same place despite the lack of bed.

The only other piece of furniture in the room is a small wardrobe, one which seems immensely old and worn.

Outside the MagCave

Saurous takes a moment to give Moon a surprised look at the mention of her needing help with something, before nodding and smiling again. He'll try to preserve her pride as much as he can.

Pride or no, he should probably do something to keep the arm from bouncing around as they walk. He removes his cloak and begins folding it in a few places and tying it in others until it somewhat resembles a functional sling. He places his little creation around the ice elf's neck and arm, adjusting it until it sits in a relatively comfortable position.

He slips around to Moon's left side now, gently putting his right arm around her waist while pulling her functioning limb around his shoulders with his other hand. Once Moon feels ready to try walking, he dismisses the shimmering dome with a gesture and starts leading her back towards the MagCave.

MagCave Interior

Missy claps at the speech. Very inspiring, and she hoped it worked. Apparently Edijar had told Magtok about his splinter timeline idea, and Magtok had either fallen for it or, more likely, decided the refugees could do with something pretty to mentally cling to.

She moves over to Edijar. She didn't really think he was capable of making rational decisions, but the habits of a soldier die hard. "Orders?"

Inside MagCave


"We're going to be getting a task force together to raid those supply caches." Edijar tells her before speaking up. "Oi! I need a few strong arms to come with me for supplies! Anyone up for it?"

[Mr. Moon]

Outside the MagCave

Relatively comfortable is just that - a relative term. And in this case, that means 'not at all'. As Saurous lifts Moon Called's arm into the sling, the ice elf grits her teeth and doesn't complain. But her patience runs out quickly once he begins adjusting it, and before Saurous can find just the right position she reaches out with her good arm to push his hands away. "It'sfinejustleaveityousonuva." She snarls, speaking the words in one short hiss of pain. Hopefully he won't take it personally.

She offers no more arguments, though. With Saurous' help she is able to clamber to her feet. Hopefully the necromancer will be able to carry her armoured weight. Moon Called stands at his side for a long while. After a few moments of leaning on him, she begins to slowly support her own weight, which isn't that hard. Her arm is injured, not her leg.

Once she's ready, Moon Called starts to nod, but catches something out of the corner of her eye as she does so.
"My sword... Can't leave it out here..."

"I am a married man, Ilpholin." Raril tries to explain. "He's taking after his mother at the moment. They're all chimeras like that. Or half-drow, when they want to be." They? There's more than one?

[Reinholdt]

Ilpholin scowls at the chimera. SCOWLS.

"THEY?! Why wasn't I told about them?"
So she could meet them and start picking them off one by one until only she was left for Raril's attention start hugging them.

Of course, it's probably directly related to how new they are.

[Saurous]

Outside the MagCave

Saurous glances over at Moon's discarded sword, cursing quietly to himself. He probably should have picked that up before helping Moon to her feet. He spends a few seconds thinking, before looking up at the MagSquid floating around idly.

"Hey, you! Magtok's robot squid...thing!" he shouts, pointing a finger over at the sword. "Could you retrieve that and bring it inside for us?"

"Mew," Trilby says. He has even less idea what Lewis is saying than he usually has when people talk to him.

[Lucy's Mind]

Vicky thought about the wardrobe, but decided against using it. Even if it is small, it's even more unwieldy than a bed. "Knew I should have brought my crossbow..." Vicky says. "But oh well, guess it's hand to hand." She tries to grab the arm of the demon nurse closest to her and yank as hard as she can, hopefully hard enough to pull its arm off.

Divaonar takes to the air, acting as something of an eye in the sky for Raril and his daughter. Raril had said not to come and to find his siblings...

But now they found one of them!

And Raril didn't tell him not to tag along.

Soooo...

He would feel horrible if Raril got hurt because he wasn't there to help. Shaking one's purpose isn't an easy thing to do after all. Especially when one's purpose is to care for a person one loves.

So yes. Flying. Watching. Listening.

He can see some of his other siblings wheeling about in the sky near Mother. They'll be able to see them coming! Hopefully the Stars aren't bothering Mother too much... Like any of the Old Ones the proper astronomical configurations can make her a bit more...

Than she would be otherwise. It really is something of a party atmosphere for them all. Being bottled up for so long. K'rax might not be quite as bad as the others. But still...

Divaonar gives a high-pitch call that cuts through the air. One of those sanity rattling sounds that a person had best ignore. It's soon answered by several others in the far distance.

K'rax-Naggath turns her mountainous form toward the park.

"I told Mother we're coming!" the chimera calls from above. "My siblings will try to clear the way for us."

[Rl'yeh]

Down down down into the depths they go!

And at the bottom they'll find-!

A really big flat featureless floor.

Cthulhu's bed-room is really boring.

Outside the MagCave

The thing bobs in a manner vaguely resembling a nod, before reaching out with a tentacle to take the sword off of the ground and-

Wow! This thing is heavy! Didn't even budge a little bit! Let's grab it with two tentacles this time.

...Okay, three. No? Try four...Really? Jeez, that thing is ridiculous!

After some deliberation, the MagSquid finally pulls the sword off the ground, its anti-grav set to full power as it tries to lug the ginormous blade from outside to the MagCave interior. Assuming everyone gets back in and nobody else has any reason left to run back outside, the door shuts with a WUMPH!

Inside MagCave

A MagClone shrugs and steps forward, which probably shouldn't be all that unexpected, given that it's Maggy. He seems pretty casual about it though, as if having his brain slimed and then eaten by monsters with too many dimensions isn't anything to worry about.

"I'm in. Got a few more selves running around than I need at the moment anyways."

Hey Mag, quick question. You don't plan on going outside in those stupid purple robes, do you? You'll trip all over yourself if you have to run from a shoggoth at any point, y'know. And the clone wearing the suit needs to stick around and manage all these refugees. I hope you've got something else to wear, or you're going to be dead faster than anyone can say 'Red shirt'.

The pod, Harin, and the Elemental will all step forward from the enrance, if they can hear it from there. The pod is no longer channeling.

"We're in, if you'll have us.".

"I didn't even know about them! They didn't show up until a few days ago, when all this mess started. I don't even think Zee knew they were going to be mine." That... didn't sound very flattering Raril, for you or your wife.

The drow starts again. "These Old Ones. They all have their spawn to do their bidding. They're like... avatars or something. But with Zee, somehow, they're not just spawn. They're our children."

It was insane, he knew. And it was clear Raril hadn't quite adjusted to the idea himself.

"Everyone who is coming had better be armed. If you aren't, you're dead weight, and you stay here," Missy announces.

[Reinholdt]

[Streets]

"Uh-huh...." Ilpholin says in that semi-disbelieving voice which says she thinks there's more to it.

To be honest, she's not sure what else to say at this point. She needs a bit more time to digest it. Alas, what with death around every corner, it is hard to find that time.

But hey, it seems like the chimera would be throwing themselves at the other guys to clear a path for them. She's entirely in favor of that plan.

"Do mages count as armed if they can use combat spells, or do I need to get a gun from somewhere?"

[Toward K'rax]

Chimeras throwing themselves at other less pleasant things, yes indeed! Along the way Raril and Ilpholin will probably see signs of their handy-work. Mostly in the form of the remains of other Far-things reduced to inert (and disgusting) detritus.

As friendly as Divaonar might seem he and his siblings are all aline predators in the highest degree. Dangerous and rather unpredictable. Thankfully they're all acting on relatively benevolent orders at the moment.

Eventually the drow will arrive at their destination!

K'rax is a lot smaller right now. Only a good thousand feet or so rather than miles long. She's been getting progressively smaller as she searches for Raril, no doubt to focus down her senses to make it easier to find on little person in a city filled with little persons.

The earth itself is tainted by her very presence, tendrils of aberrant flesh growing from stone and concrete and metal alike, slowly converting what was previously inert matter into a living forest. Bio-aetheric essence rains from her form, giving rise to strange and twisting things where it strikes the ground.

And...

Oh...

Oh gods...

Are those people?

Or were people. An entourage of beings, fantastical and varied. Beautiful and hideous all at once. They flock around the Far Chimera, fawning at her mere presence. When the massive beast spots Raril she crouches down to lay on the street.

Most of the servitors scatter to avoid being crushed.

Others simply continue their adoration until they are.

Divaonar winces at the sight as he alights on a nearby burned out car.

A quiet, whispered voice drifts through the air.

"I found you, my love~ Are you safe~?"
