Lasbolts and bullets bounce off the walls and railing around her, but Lilitas ignores them. The Xeno is the bigger threat. "Damn. No kill" Lilitas curses half-heartedly as the thing emerges msotly intact from the explosion to scythe down another Enforcer. "Shame about the grunt".

Seemingly unconcerned about the situation, a second pull of the trigger sends another grenade whistling through the air.

Liliatas curses, the sound drawing the beast's attention. It twirls around in an instant claws raised to rend the guardswoman limb from limb. With a dull THUNK the grenade lodges in between its teeth, with a snarl it moves to pounce before BOOM the grenade detonated. In a smear of purple chitin, blood and bone fragments the clawed xeno ceases to exist in a meaningful manner. It could not get deader than that...

"Nice shoot'n girl," Markus grunted.

Metanovia

The arbite froze for a second as the pulses of the mutants RPG and her allies frag grenade exploded all around her showering her in fragments and tearing through the flak great ripping great tears in her muscles and internal organs.
Glancinga round she motioned at the hybrids advancing across the floor of hangar. "We've got to get off this catwalk. Its like shooting hive *** in a tunnel up here".

With that she runs towards Lor beside his ladder down motioning onto the hangar floor. At least there is cover down there, and a selection of exits....

[Starbin]

Lor grunted in pain as the las shots from below peppered his chest. However, the charging beast was more of an issue, as it ripped through another enforcer on it's way to separate Lor's head from his shoulders. It was only by a well-timed shot from Lilitas, without so much as a fire in the hole, that saved his bacon.

Better buy her a drink later ... and hope she remains as accurate with that thing as she was with those two shots!

Metanovia's whispers broke his reverie and he nodded, moving to slide down the ladder and get to cover behind on of the pieces of equipment.

Not sure how the actions will work here. Is holstering weapons as quick as drawing them? If so, with two free actions, I could holster pistols and draw my rifle. If not, I'll hang on to them. Looks like a full move to get to cover, either way.

Praetus

Bits of alien Xeno and enforcer showering his shield with flesh surprise him as does the explosions all around from Liliatas and the mutant's Grenades detonating on the catwalk. We've got to get off this catwalk, We're easy targets here! he shouts at the others before running across to the ladder where Lor was and sliding down in a spray of rust flakes and creaking steel as he takes cover behind a large metallic object that is somehow related to the running of a flight deck...

The mutants black ovoid eyes follow Praetus and Lor as they drop to the floor. The two hybrids with chainsaw and axe, both still leaking yellowish ichor rushing to close with them as the duck and weave darting from cover to cover...

On the ground floor of the hangar both M1 (pistol, axe and 3rd claw arm taken 5 wounds) and M3 (stub gun and chainsword taken 7 wounds) run again getting to within ~5m of Lor and Praetus, just on the other side of the big pile of metal that they were hiding behind.

The other 2 hanging back on the right continue to lay down cover fire crouched behind the pile of debris las fire and auto gun rounds clipping past Lilitas and Markus. Markus continuing to showcase his ability to dodge bullets and the las blast whizzing into the catwalk at Liliatas's feet.

The other group sheltering under the wing frmo the hail of fire put down by Markus cower slightly. the one that had been toting the RPG collapsing bleeding and stunned. One of the others moves over gathering up the RPG and beginning to screw in a new rocket head on it. The other laying down a long burst of fire at the surviving enforcer but the shots going wide of the mark.

As the shells and las blasts rent the air around you the catwalk lurches threateningly as some of the supports holding it to the wall lurch under the triple grenade impacts. You can hear shouts and snarls from the other side of the hangar that may be reinforcements and for those on the catwalk distant and terrifying scuttling from the vents above you...
"Throw down your arms and surrender the alien voice speaks out once more, "One must be sacrificed for the loss of one of my firstborn. the others can join us and know happiness and freedom". The words coming from a shadowed door at the far end of the hangar chew at your soul and you can almost believe them....

The spectre chatters in Markus's hands, spent shells raining down onto the base of the catwalk, though he dodges the first few rounds he can't dodge them all, one round tearing into his arm sending the RPG to the floor and breaking its hand, the second slamming into its chest sends flying tumbling end over end for a few metres the trail of rounds following it until the last one slams into its head shattering its skull....

Lilitas grins widely, the ecstatic grin of the insane and the fanatical, as the xeno explodes into fine meaty chunks. She almost looks like she's about to start laughing, or maybe praying, when another lasbolt glances off the plating by her feet. Right, still the heretics who can't shoot to deal with. Tempted to just stay up here and... The catwalk lurches. "...off the catwalk it is". She makes a mad dash for the nearest ladder, vaulting over the edge with practised ease and sliding down the ladder as the strange voice speaks again.

"I'd say go f*** yourself, but xeno love is heresy" she retorts under her breath as she moves for cover.

Sometimes I wish I had learned how to shoot better... If those claws are anything like the ones on the big guy, better to stay at range and keep their heads down. Praetus thinks as he takes aim with his Ironclaw and opens fire one handed.

Metanovia

THe female Arbite, bleeding heavily slides down the ladder and joins Lor and Praetus as the two mutants make their move.

The surviving Enforcer on the catwalk stops and looks around seeing himself almost alone up there and looks up at the heavy scrabbling sounds paling slightly.

Bad Guys

By the wrecked rubbish on the ground the two mutants jump round the corner claw and sword whirring as they close on Lor and Praetus! The one leaping towards Praetus, stub gun and chainsword whirring as the heavy shot tears through its leg and then sends it sprawling across the floor blood pouring out of its ruined leg. The other, put off by the overwatch fire misses wildly with its heavy rending claws. being blow away by the bolt round excavating its chest cavity.

Back by the barrels the autogun and long las armed mutants both silently move into overwatch covering the wrecked vehicle where Liliatas and Iacton are hiding.

Behind the wing of the void fighter the only mutants standing over there aims carefully at Markus a look of hatred on his face at the 2 bodies of his comrades who are both barely alive. True to form the scum dodges the first of the burst, the second shot hammering like the force of a grox kick into his xeno mesh but not doing any damage.

Seeing the monstrosity that came around the corner, Lor fired both pistols, hoping to take the beast out quickly. If I needed a reason to just say no, this thing pretty much gives me one ...

Glancing over at the shadows concealing the 2 overwatching mutants she shrugged within the blood and smoke stained flak coat. Keep moving or we'll be pinned between guns and claws and I don't think our Lady Guardswoman has enough grandes for that... she whispers to Praetus and Lor as she starts hurriedly moving to the left towards the wall under the catwalk where a couple of large long dead vents can be seen as well as a octgaonal access hatch though where it leads who can say...

Enforcer 1

The enforcer stumbles further along the catwalk sprinting past Markus as he reachs the corner, breathing heavily, blood pouring form his savaged arm onto the shaky steel catwalk. His head intent on reaching the possibly illusory safety of the nearest door...

Then after you 3 it's Lor then back to the bad guys. And then thankfully for the bad guys Markus is temporarily out of ammo!

Seeing that the other half of the team has to traverse open ground in order to reach the doorway, he steels himself for what his gut tells him he needs to do. He turns to Lor "Get to the door, I'm going to draw the muties' fire so the others can make it to the door. Meet you there." Praetus rasps through the external speaker on his helmet. He swaps his shield to his right side to provide better him with better cover and runs towards the other group of Accolytes. "Get moving!" he bellows at them as the enemy opens up.

"Good plan," Iacton agrees, as the mutant fire directs itself in a not-him sort of direction. He hauls himself to his feet once more and sprints forward...

As Praetus darts forward the two mutants open up. Flickering long-las semi auto fire and full auto-gun rounds pelting the brave if crazy enforcer and his durable combat shield. The las fire goes wild vanishing into the giant pile of rubble blocking the ancient lathe pattern doors. The autogun rounds hammer around his feet, one errant round cracking the shield before bouncing off his armour...

As the rounds hammer around the poor arbite Iacton sprints from the cover of his barrel streaking past a surprised Lor and Metanovia as he shelters behind an ancient (and now empty) fuelling truck only a few metres from the access doors.

One of the vents looks locked and sealed, welds raw on the edge. The second vent already hangs loose, the metal grating hanging from one screw. The door stands silent, darkness behind it.

THe guardswoman watches with a wry grin the arbite dashing out into the field for fire and vanishing behind sparks and las flashesbut emerging unschathed.
Seeing her chance she hunkers down and sprints across towards the crouching Lor, Iacton and Metanovia by the crates and the now very close access hatches.

Enforcer 1

Still terrified he sprints down the catwalk opposite to the rest of the group, the first hatch is locked but the second spins open, the yawning pitch blackness obscured by the enforcer and the catwalk...

Bad Guys

With only Markus on the catwalk he can clearly hear the scrabbling above getting louder and the faint hissing of at least 1 monstrosity in the access panel above that he thinks will be joining him very soon on the shattered catwalk.

The lone mutant pegs off a shot Markus before scurrying 3m further away from the standing behind the very battle damaged shield

By the flaming pit at the far end of the hangar only Markus can see the 3 new arrivals forming up in cover behind the wing of a derelict void fighter before from one of the doorways at the far end a tall bald human steps out with 2 more mutants for bodyguards. The bald man is tall, very tall with strange piercing eyes and larrge hooded robe with high collar.
His two bodyguards look tough, both clad in head to toe in heavy flak gear and carrying terrifying chunky looking Armageddon Pattern autoguns, both have ovoid heads, purplish skin and sport a 3rd arm ending in razor sharp claws.

Holding off from reloading his weapon for a moment, Markus runs for the nearest cover.

I've lost track of the positions of everything - where's the cover? Also, assuming that I can get to cover in a half action, could I put the other half action towards reloading (so I then need another 1.5 rounds to reload?)

Markus dashes towards the others. "We got more incoming!" he calls back as he runs.

"Just what we need.." Praetus mutters as he runs back towards the others.

Lor looked up as Praetus sprinted towards them and Markus moved to scramble down the ladder. The last enforcer was running to the far side through an access hatch ... he was on his own.

Glancing over his shoulder at the vent and access door nearby, Lor nodded in that direction. "We out? Or stay and play?"

Assuming he can't see anyone from this vantage, Lor will move around the fighter towards the vents, looking for targets of opportunity. If nothing pops up at a half-move (4m), he'll continue into a full move (8m)

"I vote out," Iacton says, "Given that you seem to have a very different definition of 'play' than I do." He follows after Lor, but makes sure to let the other man lead in case anything unpleasant reveals itself.
