Seanon holds his casting as Korin tries to speak with the creatures. (ready to cast haste if the creatures attack). He finds that peacefull contact with the forest denizens might bring mutual benefit.
Xilef belives these creatures might be Satyr: tricky but rather peacefull fey who live in the forest.

shortly thereafeter, you hear a savage and beast-lke growl right from behind the hut. By the sound of the vegetation moving you might think that someting big, indeed, could be on his way. Your followers slowly back away.

The other two goatfolk suspiciouslook outside trought the hut's entrance. The one talking to you looks at you seriously, trying to understand your intentions

at this point, a massive grey render comes rushing in from behind the hut. The goatfolk talking to you points at it and says quickly "No! stay!". The grey render looks confused, but then the goatfolk repeats more forcefully and the reature just stays there, at the side of the hut, emmiting a lowly growl and exchanging glaces between the goatfolk and your group.
The slaves nearly faint at the sight of such bestial creature, but you keep your nerve, if only a little surprised. The goatfolk looks back at you, intriged by your resolve "...what do you want? who are you?"

When the colors starts flying Uidon quickly sketches a shield shape in the air and draws his own. His sword would be in his hand as well if the goat-men had not called off their beast.
Uidon follows Korin's lead, but feels he comes from a position of strength. "We mean you no trouble. We simply wish to make camp. Temporarily. Our reasons, the Slavers. They are our enemies. We are here to kill them."

The goatfolk are still warry of you, but calls one of the other inside and they quickly discuss something. He talks at you gesticulating slowly
"Go straight south from here, you will find a small spring. follow in downhill and you reach a very small pound. from there head west and you will find a stony area. You will dinf good spots to make camp there, and another water spring flows nearby as well"
he takes a pause to see your reaction and keeps talking. the second gotafolk comes outside and stays at his side.
"from there you can reach the human's large camp in about 3 hours to the east"
Then he moves closer to the grey render, that gets excited on reciving some attention.
"now begone. we don't like you so close to our home."

You spend the rest of the day walking in the forest. Thankfully, the creature's directions are true. you find the spring, the small pound, and the stony area.
You scout the location for a while and find a good spot for the camp: the larges clearing you could find so far, surroundedf by 3 very massive trees and a large rock, right at the side of a small spring. The roots and branches of the 3 massive trees make for excelent spots to sleep, sit and tie the warpings of your tents. You set a fireplace and start eating roasted meat in amounts you never belived possible. Seanon heals anyone wounded.
being quite tired from the long walk and seeting up the camp, and satified by the copious amount of food you just had, you prepare to rest.

Night passes by calmly... Until Uidon is on the second watch with other two slaves...
He sees a large shadow abruptly coming out of the ground, right next to your food suplies. He blinks his eyes in disbelif but sees that the... thing... is still there. It is as if earth itself created a large mouth that desperetely chews on the meat from the wurm you left to dry.

The "thing" has some kind of neck attached to the earth and keeps chewing on your food, taking a very large portion of it to itself.
The followers that were awake look at that and scream "AAAAHHHHHH!!! A MONTER!!!!". They spend most of their turn shouting.
The noise and the screams are loud enought to wake up eveyone in camp

Seanon gets up and casts light in one of the javalins of a follower. that folower, like many others, get up and trow their wepons at the mosnter, whatever it may be. The enlightned javalin illuminates the area and better reveals what the mosnter is.

Xilef can see that the monster is actually some kind of root. Animated, sentient, and very meat-hungry, large, root called borrow root. The wounds it inflects will continue to cause damage, it borrows in the ground and when severely wounded it may split in two.
Korins calls his magical armor and is ready to fight
Kanros set himself for combat and innitiates a magical song
Uidon's challange fails to work. The monster is too primitive to understant the challage that has just been proposed to it.
The Root-monster senses the turmoil it has just caused and rushes to the offensive. it fully emerges from the ground, and moves much like a clumsy but fast snake. Still having large amounts of wurm maat on it's mouth, it attemps to bite off Uidon's head

With the knowledge gift to her by the Great Tiger, Xilef shout to the other"Be very carefull the wound inflict by this thing are very dangerous and it may split up into smaller creature."
After that she call on all her strenght and charge the plant monster, slash at it with both her claws.

At first Kanros is nearly overwhelmed by the sense of sheer otherness given off by the creature, but he recovers quickly. Having no idea where to begin striking the creature, the former slave becomes aware that he'll be of little use in melee combat against this... thing. So, Kanros turns to his magic, pointing a finger at the monstrous root as his song swells aggressively, the bard attempts to will a potentially dangerous substance into existence.
SpoilerStandard action to cast grease (DC 15) (auto-succeed on the Perform check required by the Arcane Performer flaw) in H8-I9. If you think that it's unreasonable for Kanros to have saved a bit of wurm fat for use as a material component, I'll make up something else for him to do.
Everyone continues to gain +3 to Attack, Damage, and Will vs Charm & Fear.

Xilef charges in and attack, hitting twice for solid damage
Korin runs to reach the creature but it borrows very quickly, avoiding the attack completely*. It immediatly apears again right next to Seanon.
Kanros casts grease right were the creature is standing (ref (1d20+6)[20], DC 15), but the plan manages to keep it's balance
(Uidon still have to act)

Seanon takes a step back and cast prayer. The borrow root doesen't seem to be affected by it. (All PCs gain +1 luck bonus on Attacks, saves, wepon damage and skills)

Uidon is picked up by the root with its mouth and dropped when his companions strike. Blood starts to flow down his arm and shoulder.
When the root flows back into the ground bursting up near Seanon Uidon grabs his shield trying to protect his wounded side and swings his sword once more at the root motioning the nearby Brother to step back away.

Uidon hits a solid slash with his sword... and the borrow root splits in two! incredibly, it does not seem to have diminushed in size or speed. It is clearly damaged but still attacks you.
The "parent" borrow root still have to deal with the grease on the ground. It tries to move away from Uidon and bites Seanon (balance check DC 10 (1d20+2)[16]. if fails ref save DC 15 (1d20+6)[14] or prone). (result: success, makes attack)
The "new" root rises right in front of Kanros and tries to bite him. (if hit, you lose 1 HP per round until magicaly healed or reciving a heal check DC 21)

bite vs Kanros: (1d20+11)[14], damage (2d6+22)[26]

Kanros continues to sing as he takes a step away from the plant-like creature. He sings a particularly soft tune, and four brightly glowing, multicolored orbs appear near the monstrous roots.
SpoilerFree action to 5ft step to M5, Standard action to cast dancing lights (auto-succeed on the Perform check required by the Arcane Performer flaw). The spell creates four floating lights that each give off light as a torch would (20ft bright light, 40ft shadowy light) and they're hovering in O9-P10. The spell lasts for one minute.

The sorcerer sees the root being hit by Korin's firebolt and lunches some arcane fire of his own. He casts magic missle at the seriously damaged root, but it evades Seanon's attack by quickly borrowing and reapearing farther away

Xileft chases the root, who dosen't have time to borrow again. After her attacks, the root falls down, torn apart.
When Uidon charges, the creature notices and borrows imediatly, avoiding both attacks. it comes to surface again, right next to Korin. (this form of movement does not provoke AoOs)
