Nova overkills another large-sized spider, and then moves
Elkal shoots another fireball, killing 2 spiders and wounding other 3 (forum ate save rolls)
This opened way for Korin to move and strike. he hits, dealing good damage.
Uidon advances and uses his special magics to gain reach. he lands a powerfull blow, almost staggeting the spider.
Xileff overkills the large spider next to her
You followers make a great job holding the line, specially aided by Seanon's magic. They destroy most of the spiders as they come to their lines, and only 1 verming managed to attack.
The surviving youg spiders make feeble attacks. the big harpoon spiders try to grab you down and eat you up.

Yet most of them miss their attacks. one of the big harpoon spiders falls back after missing korin.
meanwhile, MORE spiders come up at you back. Lucky seems confident as they crawl out of the crakcs in the cave "CHILL! I GOT THIS!"

Uidon cringes slightly when the loud scream comes a second time. "Sounds big." He grunts out between sword slashes and body bashes to the spiders in front of him, his arm back to a normal size but swollen with power.

Uidon finishes the small spider and lands a slam on the big harpoon spider, taking (1d6)[6] damage from it's fully developed body spines
Korin lands two extremely powerfull blows, chopping of the spider's head with the blows. he takes (1d6)[1] and (1d6)[6] damage from the shap spikes. ouch.
Nova comes closer but misses the 1ş attack. His imbued determination help him drive his sword through the creatures many eyes, killing it. Nova takes (1d6)[5] damage.
Xilef attack seems like it took forever to happen, and then is clumsy, despite her ferocity. besides, the spider ws able to attack due to her great reach

Elkal picks off at a range what's left of the spiders. he kills a large one and hits 2 arrows on the very big one that is trying to flee

As Uidon moves carefully into the darkness he a nest of spots long, spiked legs partly deformed and partly twisted. from the middle of so many legs, a demormed chelicera from a harpoon spider dashes trought, trying to impale the noble hero.

If you fail the trip check, the spider drags you to it and bites you (1d20+20)[36], damage (4d6+15)[25], and if you are hit by the bite attack you must make a fort save DC 25 or take (1d6)[3] dex damage. if you pass the trip check, the trown fang is pulled back from your flesh, dealing (2d6+5)[12] damage
Uidon is barely able to dodge, more gratefull than ever for seanons Haste spell. The trown fang passes by him leaving only a small trim of blood on his check, before quickly returing to the darkness were it came from... an inmense harpoon spider, still partly covered in shadows
Besides being trully colossal, this spider seems completely mutated and assymetric. Its legs have differents lenghts, color and strenght. Enormous irregular spikes sprout from the creature's carapace, in positions that surely hurt the spider form time to time. The creature's body is also covered by pus, goo, ichor and tumors, with more then a few tiny spiders crawling arround. It's human-like eyes have different, sickly collors and some of them are blind, dead and dry. It's chelicera is totally assymetric, much like many other body parts, dripping poison and whatever else lurks in that terrible maw.
(The spider is 5x5. there is a faint grey box under it to show it's actual location. nevermind the leg's position size or reach outisde the grey box, they are only cosmetical)

Xilef can't help but gulp when she spot the monstrous form of this gigantic spider. But then she grinned, finally a way to test herself, she pray to the great tiger to thank him for this hunt and to ask for more strength. Elkal fires his ray, clearly anooing the bizzare creature. yet it seems to shug off its slowing effects effect
Xilef grins as she finds a worty opponent, but such creature is far for helpless. it bites Xilef as she runs by (AoO). Korin also makes his attack, but the spider is fast for it's size, and reaches Korin as he runs (AoO) Nova suffers the same fate as he charges, getting bitten by the spider (AoO)

The creature is hit by the heroes, but it's massive size and power allow it to strike them back just as furiously. Only now that you and your lights are closer that you can see the full extension of the beast
First it makes a powerfull bite attack at Nova, and then uses 2 of it's huge legs as claws to hit both Korin and Xilef. Finally, it takes a little step back and shoots its harpoons at Korin and Xilef again

Xilef suffer dearly from the vicious spider bite and she can feel the poison runnign through her veins, slowing her down. Immediatly she change the effect of the magic affecting her to improve her defense. She then continue to attack.

After the creature's fierce assoult, you strike back with the double ferocity.
Despite size, strenght, defensive spines, poison, reach, endurance and a multitude of lesser spiders to defend it, the collossal creature fals down, torn apart by your multiple powerfull blows. it seems to convulse and desperatetly tries to escape, but then you keep hacking its limbs, eyes, and spines. just a second later, the spider is all scattered arround you, purple blood flowing out of it as a spilled gallon.
You turn back to meet your followers to find them fighitng off the large harpoon spider that escaped you. Before you're able to join the fray, they manage to put it down on their own, with a little damage but no casualties.
you look arround looking for more foes but all you can see are some small spider fleeing or canabalizing the dead larger ones. you see that the cave ends just a few feet ahead, so you don't have to worry about it's size anymore.
but you do see eggs. lots of them, just at the back of the cave and behind the horrible spider you killed.
Minuscule little things, about half the size of your fingernails, purpulish in color and very opaque. they feel the walls and roof and floor of the back side of the cave, waiting for the right moment to hatch... but... wait...
uuungh....

if you was hit by the really mean colossal harpoon spider, make a fort save DC 25 or take 2d6 dex damage (roll the dex damage with your save, please), for each bite attack
if you was hit by a huge harpoon spider, make a for save DC 20 or take 2d6 dex damage (roll the dex damage with your save, please), for each bite attack
I think that the strenght damage from swarms and large mounstrous spiders is mostly irrelevant at this point
Let's see if any of you gets paralized by reaching 0 dex. gonna be fun!
