The man was once again at his bench, unsure of what was going on around him. People were throwing votes around for groups. Groups he had no part in. Groups he had no place in. He remained neutral, sitting on his bench. He wasn't sure he wanted a part in any of these groups. Too much of a hassle. Wait... Who was he waiting for, again? ...He couldn't remember. Ah, well. L'Emperuer watches the politicking with an expression that one might call a positively manic glee - if one dared to say such in the presence of the man himself.

Despite this, his gaze is caught by a small knot of people off to the side. The expression on his face crystallizes, and he rises to his feet.

"Well. Well well well, it seems there are some here who aren't entertained - and this despite the very best efforts of my people!"

He struts across the floor like a magnificent peacock, but there is a glinting in his eyes, a sort of evil glee that bodes ill for whomever gets in his way.

"This simply will not do at all! You! All of you, Joxer t' Mighty, The_Grimmace, TigerFang, D_Lord, Diva De. You have until nightfall to render a decision or the consequences shall be dire indeed." His smile widens ... and for a moment his demeanor is more like what one might expect from a shark than a man."

He makes a slight gesture, and the Royal Exchequer approaches, eyes to the ground. "Recite the current standings!"

The Exchequer clears his throat.

"Thus far, Imperial Majesty, we stand as follows:"

L'Emperuer frowns for just a moment. "Hmmm. Why ... all this support for the Nobles seems awfully one-sided. Almost ... like some sort of hidden conspiracy. I believe I shall retire to the Solarium. Keep me appraised of the goings on, Exchequer."

Night will fall and phase II of the Open Concourse will begin in approximately 24 hours. In Phase II, the strategy goes behind the scenes, as players submit night phase actions, private changes in votes (as long as the primary rules of voting are obeyed) and the abilities of factions that affect the voting and roles that have an edge (or deficiency) in social events are factored in are activated. As is always the case for events, if you wish to try something unusual, PM the narrators and we'll rub our hands together and cackle evilly.

Eh? If people can secretly change their votes in Phase 2 what's the point of voting in Phase 1? Or am I misunderstanding something here?
