    Sevran and Kirin

Accepting Sevran’s offer, Kirin took a seat, his newly-filled glass clutched in one hand. At the noble’s comparison of the town to stale beer, the ragged man nodded drunkenly. When Sevran removed his hood, the face it revealed was clearly one alien to the district; although roughened by brawls and hardship, there was a hidden refinement and determination that spoke to something deeper in the man’s past than what the rat warrens in this part of the city could offer.

Through his pretensions of drunkenness, Kirin made a note of the unusual tattoo the man across from him wore; he didn’t recognize it, but Cyrus might know, and the Boss certainly would. “Don’ have to tell me ‘bout this city. The ones down in the Districts knows it fer what it is, it’s them pretty nobles as thinks Taelarys’ll go on forever with glory an’ conquest.”

At Sevran’s comment about the beer, Kirin looked shamefacedly into his glass, an implication that he didn’t have the money for a drink of the sort the disguised noble was suggesting. Then, at the mention of something to help him forget, Kirin glanced back up. “Aye, there’s too much I could stand t’ forget; I’ve tried drownin’ it in booze, but I could use somthin’ better.”

    Chaos in the Diamond
    Tarin

When chaos descended onto the Lord’s Arena, everything seemed to happen at once. The booming voice of the Prince incited mass hysteria in the crowd watching Lupil’s execution even as another voice tried to warn the nobles about of a fire. In the sudden press of the crowd, swords were drawn, and men fell left and right as an inhuman madness possessed some among d’Milverton’s men.

Tarin stood in the midst of violent conflict, the sharp tang of blood stinging his nose, his ears ringing with the screams of dying men and the concussion of exploding machinery. In that moment, something long-dormant awoke inside the Grand Inquisitor. For an instant, he felt as though he were back in the Halls of Truth, the now-familiar sounds and smells of torment surrounding him, master of his domain. Shut up behind a desk, he had missed his work there, but as the memories swirled in his mind, he longed to feel again the thrill of spilt blood and rent flesh. The images threatened to overwhelm him, but a shout from Marcos recalled him to the present, and a gleeful smile spread over the Inquisitor’s face as he realized that death had come to the Diamond, and now all bets were off. With that thought, his hand tightened around the hilt of the push dagger Ghedim had given him, and he searched out a target for his malice.

In front of the Inquisitor, a dangerous-looking man with a jeweled sword was menacing Jameson, but the would-be assassin had made the mistake of turning his back toward Tarin. With a speed that belied his age, the gray-haired man crossed the room, putting his momentum behind a blow to the man's back. Propelled by Tarin’s strike, the ambassador’s wicked blade sank deeply into a kidney, and black ichor spilled out from the vital wound.

Swiftly, the assassin turned on his assailant, unable to bring his sword around in time, but still managing to catch Tarin full-force with a blow from a well-muscled arm. The strike knocked the Grand Inquisitor off-balance, and he slammed into an oaken table that had held hors d’oeuvres for the assembled nobles just a moment before. From Tarin’s mouth, a line of bloody spittle dripped down to mar his white dress shirt, and as he struggled to his feet, the killer dashed toward him, sword raised high despite the pain etched on his face.

Just as the curving blade swung down toward the Inquisitor, two of Revin’s throwing daggers embedded themselves in the assassin's shoulder, and his sword dug into the wood scarcely inches from Tarin’s body. With the few seconds Revin’s strike had brought him, the Inquisitor moved away, repositioning himself as he searched for an opening, his eyes burning with a bloodlust that was mirrored in his opponent’s gaze.

Claye hesitates only long enough to make sure that she wouldn't land in a pile of weapons before jumping in after Mikado, landing heavily but apparently without injury. "This mess ain't gonna stop until we take out the possessed sucker that's causin' it. Normally Ah'd say we should wait for the Blood Guards t' show up, but since we're already down here... after you, gentlemen." She gestures toward the path ahead.

Xavier watches Claye jump in the hole, astonished. It takes him only a second for his curiosity to win over his fear, and he jumps in after her. "Let's simply hope there aren't too many on the way to the 'possessed sucker'" Xavier says, clicking the strength control on his hand off. With any luck, he wouldn't damage it too badly. He already had to rebuild a generator.

2 large men with jeweled swords (one badly injured), one noble with a dagger, one assassin with a cross bow are left

As Tarin removes the last noble assassin, the two large men move forward attacking those who they deemed most dangerous.

The first makes a sudden dash towards the small girl Eris whose yell had lit one of this fellows on fire. (roll was a 6 to attack) She attempts to avoid the blow but with a speed that can only be achieved through a life of practice he anticipates her move and slashes, missing any vital spots but slashing through her Arena uniform at the shoulder and cutting into her flesh. Blood starts to run freely, but the wound is only painful and not limiting.

The other turns to Tarin, blood runs freely down the mans legs, he is mortally injured. Perhaps he is not aware or simply seeks revenge, he begins advancing, his sword swinging left, right, left, left (roll 8). Tarin attempts to parry the blows but a sudden unexpected thrust slices just against the side of his throat, the wound is painful but missed any of his vital organs.

The last living noble with a dagger screams out "For the Crimson Eye!" and rushes at Jameson. His form is sloppy and his attack obvious, but Jameson knows as little of combat as his attacker and the dagger sinks partially into his left shoulder. Jameson screams and more through luck than skill knees his attacked in the groin, pushing him back a few feet with the dagger still in his hand.

The assassin with the crossbow begins to reload and starts to back up.

"Hells," Anselme hissed bounding up the last few steps and catching sight of the pandemonium that had been unleashed in the brief time he'd been gone. The crossbow wielding assassin backpedaled from the fray to buy himself time to reload. Tiptoeing in from behind, Anselme watched him begin to take aim, unsure of who's side he was on. When he was sure the bolt was meant for Jameson, he darted forward and aimed to plunge his stiletto into the hamstring of the would be sniper.

Instantly crippled with pain and with one leg rendered useless, the assassin fell backwards with a tortured and confused cry. Anselme casually left the knife in his leg and snatched the loaded crossbow from his hands as he toppled backwards.

Stepping away from the downed assailant, he muttered, "Nothing personal," and took aim at the back of Jameson's attacker.

A small, knowing smile forces its way to Sevran's lips. He reaches into a deep pocket and pulls out a small bag with a white and blue powder. The barkeep provides two cups of hot, boiling water, which the noble begins to mix as he speaks.

"Wrong, friend." The second word seemed forced to the trained spy. "The nobles, we nobles don't think that Taelarys will last forever. Most of us just assume it will fall apart some time after we meet the demigod."

As the powder dissolved into the burning liquid, the glasses immediately cooled off, and they each changed color. Sevran's turned a bright, unnatural blue, and Kirin's a dull red. 'The Dream', an expensive, yet potent drug was a combination of several different mild drugs, making each take a little different than the last depending on what amounts of what substances one was lucky, or unlucky, enough to get.

Sevran didn't take his drink, and least not immediately. He stared at the drink, thinking about the last time he had taken it. "Why are you in the Grey District boat hand? This is the place people try to get out of."

The giant man charged at Eris from the side. She saw him coming, but there was not that much room she could use. In a close battle, this was not good. A child against a large warrior. She avoided his first swing, but felt her back against the wall. The second swing cut into her shoulder and the dress she was wearing started to cover with blood.

It hurt. It hurt very much. But this was a moment of life and death. For a sorcerer of fire, to lose concentration was worse. In such a small space, a bad calculation would kill everyone. She could not use dragonfire here. She couldn't listen to pain.

But it hurt. She was tired, from days of working as a servant when her body wasn't used to it.
How long had it been since she had done this?
    Too long.
But normally that was a good thing.

Eris stumbled and kicked a chair up to the air in front of the man.
"Yakka" she spoke the word, holding her shoulder painfully. Her hand was covered in blood.
The chair exploded into burning splinters. A small distraction maybe.
Jameson and the other man where in trouble though. She had to think of a plan.

Turin watches as the little...well, probably a girl, but not quite... first lit someone on fire with a word, followed by a chair.

Amazing... I hope she catches on to this...

He quickly moves towards one of the oil lamps, and picks it up. Catching Eris' eye, he mouths Fyr, and throws the lamp at the assassin near Eris.

The assassin ducks, and the oil lamp crashes on the floor behind him. Mildly burning oil flows across the ground, as Turin reconsiders his position. Perhaps it's time to take cover...

1 noble with a dagger + 1 injured burly sword attacker and 1 uninjured burly sword attack.

Jameson slumps to the ground in too much pain to even scream, the noble turns from him and takes aim at Turin and attempts to fling his dagger at him . . . missing completely, he curses and draws a second.

"You fool!" the uninjured burly guard yells. "He isn't dead yet, we need him dead!" His sword suddenly arcs towards Eris as she smartly dodges it, she barely has time to consider how close the blade came to her face when she feels a huge force land square on her chest as the large man kicks her against the wall and rushes towards Jameson, sword held high.

The injured guard, makes the mistake of counting Tarin as down, seeing the blood flowing from the mans neck. He takes three steps across the room, his form beginning to lack from the loss of blood from the wounds Tarin had inflicted. He seemed to be aiming for Turin, but at the last moment, luckily, he steps into a patch of the splattered oil and slips, losing his balance.

Anselme panned to the left as the man who'd wounded Jameson rounded on the seemingly unfortunate noble who'd decided to intercede. Then Eris caught a lucky break and her attacker withdrew, leaving the rogue with a clean shot. The second the thug lofted his sword overhead and spun around to charge, Anselme exhaled slowly through his toothy smile (either maniacal or despicably self confident) and squeezed. A feathered haft of wood appeared in the assassin's shoulder. The unmistakable sound of steel slamming into bone echoed over the din of battle in the arena below a moment after.

"Stop where you are! I'd rather not kill anyone today." Anselme cranked the lever back on his weapon and took aim again. He wasn't about to let anyone know that there wasn't a bolt loaded this time. There had only been the one missile supplied with the commandeered crossbow.

Kyranis brought his dagger down on the zombie's head, driving it into the creature's brain.

At the same time, Liella drove her own blade into the thing's heart.

While it was held up for a moment, Liella's knife quickly slid out of the creature, and Kyranis let his go, snatching up Tera's.

He walked over to the dying woman, and knelt next to her speaking softly.

His Bond-Mate placed her foot on the corpse's throat, and ripped his blade out of it's skull. As she stood, she threw her own weapon, straight toward the unharmed assassin with the sword.

At least, it would have gone straight at him, had it not been for the zombie that grabbed her arm just before she released the dagger.

Worse, the creature's other hand was slowly crushing her throat; she was still alive, for now, but she couldn't speak, and she'd pass out soon.

    Which, indeed, she did.

    Sevran and Kirin

Kirin was taken slightly aback at the rough-looking man’s implication of nobility. Of course, he had realized that the stranger was not native to the district, but there were precious few nobles that would dare to appear in the Grey District without a substantial escort. Clearly this man meant business, and if that were the case, Kirin would need to make doubly sure to stay on his toes as he gathered information.

While he listened to Sevran speak, the spy eyed the brightly-colored liquid in the glasses cautiously. Although it had been fairly clear that the conversation was turning toward drugs, he hadn’t anticipated that the actual product would appear so quickly, and as it stood, he would likely have to sample the mysterious concoction to stave off suspicion. As the realization hit him, he struggled to recall a few techniques from basic training that dealt with minimizing the effects of mind-altering drugs; he couldn’t afford to lose control in a place like this.

Finally returning his gaze to Sevran and passing off his apprehension as the fuddled curiosity of a drunk, Kirin finally addressed himself to the gray-cloaked stranger’s question. “I found out th’ hard way that alcohol is better at washin’ away money than memories. There aren’t many ships as ‘ud hire me these days, and I ain’t got the money to go anyplace better.” Lowering his head with an expression of regret, the spy continued, “Once th’ District gets its hooks in ya, it don’t like to let go.”

    Tarin

Impossibly, the badly-wounded assassin continued to fight, swinging his glinting blade at Tarin with all the strength he had left. A combination of quick footwork and the man’s uneven staggering kept the Inquisitor safe from the worst of the blows, but a final lucky strike came dangerously close, and Tarin felt heat slice across his neck as he dodged away from his attacker. A hand brought up to his neck reassured the older man that the wound was merely grazing, but nevertheless a stream of blood flowed down to mat the fabric of his robes, staining his dress shirt a bright crimson.

Fatally, the assassin turned his attention from Tarin just as the Inquisitor recovered from examining his wound. With a heavy step, the wounded man headed toward his fellows, but the oil on the floor betrayed him, and he slipped, the jeweled blade flying from his grip and skittering across the floor as he slammed against the ground. Through bleary eyes and the haze of shock, the man could still feel the spike of pain as Tarin drove the push dagger into his stomach and began sawing, disregarding the weapon's intended use in favor of more brutal applications. When the assassin's eyes finally closed and the pain contorting his face relaxed, Tarin withdrew the dagger and stood up to find Marcos already at his side.

"Are you injured, my lord?" There was a look of genuine concern etched on the bodyguard's face.

"I'm fine, the fool only managed to graze me." As he spoke, the Inquisitor bound a clean linen napkin over his throat; although the cloth quickly reddened, it seemed to slow the bleeding after a moment. "Save your pity for these assassins, if we manage to take one alive." There was a wicked look burning in the Inquisitor's eyes, and he glanced around the club like a hunter seeking his prey.

Seeing the other attendees drop into the pool of light with a flaming sword, Ghedim turned his attention to the corridor. The scattered bodies of the injured filled the confined space with the noxious odors of bodily waste, and Ghedim was unsurprised to see one of the corpses seemed to have drowned in its own vomit. He was about to step along the beast's path when one of the bodies moved, ever so slightly, and moaned feebly at the knot of warriors. Ghedim's eyes narrowed, and in the moment it took for the rest of the group to process what was going on a dagger had flown from his hand to embed itself in the wounded man's skull. Turning to the others, Ghedim gave a slight shrug.

"We cannot risk a trap when demons are involved. Do any of you have skill in tracking?"

"Note to self: Gotta stop jumping into large scary holes." he mutters under his breath before surveying his surroundings. Spying the corpse, he amends his last sentence. "Let's just go ahead and make that a life rule... No more holes, period." Looking at the others, his next comment is extended to all the (living) occupants of the tunnel. "So let me guess... Though Mikado was the first to land right after Ghedim, he hadn't actually reacted to the sights before them with anything beyond a sense of general alertness; if he held any fear of the dead, or the undead for that matter, he hid it well as he briefly paused to hold his sword high and slowly move it about in order to better illuminate the area.

Had there been any torches, he personally would have preferred to throw one towards the man apparently lying there wounded, who may or may not be one of the undead corpses that had appeared up above, to get a better look rather than outright kill him. When the ambassador took care of the potential threat in a rather cold-blooded fashion, Mikado didn't even bat an eyelid -- he was of much the same mind.

"Nor I," he ultimately offered quietly after Claye noted her lack of tracking abilities. "But in my experience, a trail of littered corpses is easy to follow." The Ikokuan indicated towards the direction of the slightly fresher corpse.

His eyes narrowed briefly, though, as he directed his attention towards Xavier and Claye. "Don't speak more than absolutely necessary down here." He spoke very quietly, but his tone was instructive, as if he didn't expect them to do anything but follow his warning; for that is what it was.

None of them were, as far as the foreigner knew, experts on the undead and demons -- and it was entirely possible that some of these creatures were more attracted to sound and smells rather than sight. Not to mention that they didn't want to attract any further zombies that may have been created as a side-effect down in the pit itself.

Their quarry was the heretic-turned-monster, any shambling corpses would have difficulties getting out from these dungeons beneath the Arena and obviously for its owner to clean up.

Mikado didn't really wait for a response to his words, already stepping forward in the direction he had indicated. He was proceeding with surprising speed, not really paying any further heed to the corpses that had been in their immediate vicinity -- he counted on the fact that they would already have attacked by now, had they been brought to a semblance of life.

As they proceeded further, however, he did change to a slightly more cautious pace.

    Eris

The distraction didn't work for long, but it helped enough for Eris to dodge the sword strike. The kick took away her breath and she hit the wall hard.

It's been too long since I've done this. She wanted to ask the stars why she was here.
But she threw the thought away.
There was only one path she could walk, since she had thrown all others away.

Coughing painfully, Eris leaned against the wall and pointed her finger at the oil.
Turin's whisper was not missed by Eris.

    "Fyr!"
She said. And she willed the flames to life, feeding them promises and vengeful greed. The assassin who had fallen onto the oil cried out in pain as the floor exploded into flames. Hungry orange and red fire, and it burned hot enough to heat the whole room.

Eris tried to hold herself up, and endure the pain. She groaned.
    I hope that didn't break a rib...
    She cursed silently.
Jameson, you can't die yet! She thought grimly.

The corridor is long and dark. Even the most fearless among the group feel a slight chill up their spine as the flickering flames from Mikado's sword dance across the corpses faces.

Most of the dead seem to have been killed by an animal. There wounds are sets of four parallel gouges so deeply torn that visceral material and shredded organs can be seen.

[see OOC for details on rolls]

The corridor itself does not change much for the first 80 feet, the same drab 10 x 10 stone walls set with large metal rings, however you will also see circular holes drilled into the walls on one side at spacing of roughly 20 feet and there seems to be some sort of chiseled groove int he ceiling. Additionally, it seems that as you walk, you are going deeper underground.

100 feet down the corridor opens up into a large chamber. It is roughly 20 feet high and its walls extends beyond the flickering light of the sword. Just at the entrance of the room a few things are easily visible. There is a large wooden and metal contraption partially smashed on the ground. A number of cages of sizes ranging from small enough to hold dogs to large enough to hold large beasts like lions, are built or stacked to the right. To the left a work table that has a number of lamps arranged on a table, each lamp has a bolt set into its side that would allow it to fit into the drilled holes into the wall.

The room is conspicuously absent of bodies.

At the balcony, some of the blood guard watches impassively, perhaps curious while the Prince watches the carnage in the arena with an air of amusement.

As the fire erupts burning one of the attackers only one foe remains. He stands stark still as Anselme holds a bead on him not realizing the man is faking it.

He looks about, sees his allies dead and dyeing and Jameson sitting against the wall bleeding but not dead. He raises his hands into the air as if to surrender and says "I am sorry great lord, we have failed you. Please accept my sacrifice.""

He bolts towards Jameson bringing his hands together to grip his sword as he attempts to land a fatal blow before Anselme can kill him. The bejeweled blade rises into the air while the flames on the ground cause a sickening reflection to play across Jamesons face.

Kyranis heard a clatter from behind him, like a knife dropped onto the stone.

He spun around, and slashed at the hand of the zombie holding Liella, cutting it off at the wrist.

The Sorcerer caught his Bond-Mate, or at least her body, as she started to fall; she was unconscious or dead, but the shambling corpse made it impossible to check which it was.

He lunged for the creature, trying to put his blade in it's heart.

Behind them, Tera m'Shal ir Ostrim, Sorceress and Firstborn, slipped further toward her death.

Claye grabs up a sturdy spear - one of several weapons that had fallen into the pit from the Arena when the trapdoor was opened. She follows the group down the darkened passage, quietly and cautiously.

Once in the larger chamber, she examines her surroundings, trying to figure out the purpose of the smashed contraption and determine where the occupants of the cages might have gone.

He dives at the assassin's legs...

Put the sword down, I don’t want to kill you, Anselme prayed inside his head. He stared down the length of the empty crossbow, his one good eye positioned awkwardly for a right handed shooter. While the weapon was trained on the man’s chest, Anselme’s eye stared at his legs. His knees would betray him at the moment he decided to be obstinate or foolish.

The thug’s weight shifted. His knees turned. Some silky, venomous word in a strange tongue escaped Anselme’s lips and the crossbow was cast aside. In a flash he darted a step forward, pulled open his jacket, plucked out the single small blade concealed within and sent it flying with a violent underhanded throw. It was the same knife he’d reached for minutes earlier when Turin had startled him, a simple thing with a flat grip and short blade held in place to the trim with a few stitches. He hadn’t expected to need it, of course, but when a man has been through as much as Anselme has, he never leaves home without a last defense.

    ***
The knife hung frozen in the expanse between them. Anselme chanced a blink, not convinced his faculties were being faithful. Eventually, he decided to breathe out. His eye flickered between the inferno sprung up from the spilled oil lamp and the man dying within the blaze to the staggered Eris, visibly wincing at the pain. He lingered on the Cheshire grin that appeared just within an archway beside the scene. The cruel, smug smile belonged to Serafino who strode out betwixt the frozen figures, hands folded neatly behind his back. His gloved hand traced daintily along the blade of the knife, still in the air. Touching the tip gingerly he finally began to chuckle and turned his eyes to Anselme.

“I thought you gave up playing the hero, Anselme,” he said, the humor in his face evaporating with disquieting speed.

Anselme tested his shoulders, then his arms. Assured he was allowed to move, he relaxed, smoothing back a stray bit of hair before shoving his hands into his pockets dismissively. He said nothing.

The man in the lavish red coat slipped behind the dagger, lining it up with Anselme and trying to properly assess its trajectory. “It’s a good throw. I wonder though, will it be good enough?”

“Well!” piped Anselme, As you can see, everyone is waiting with bated breath for the results. So if you would kindly…”

“Why do you want to save him?” interrupted Serafino, “I mean, I happen to like Jameson. I just thought you said…”

“Letting him die won’t bring her back.” Anselme said flatly. His words were completely stale, devoid of his normal impishness. “He didn’t even recognize me. He forgot a long time ago, if he even ever knew. There’s no blood on his hands, just his money.”

Serafino, having casually passed over towards Jameson, patted the unanimated man’s head. “That sounds uncomfortably like forgiveness, Anselme.”

“Never. He’ll see the gates of Hell one day. But, I won’t be the one to take him there.”

Serafino turned, stroking his peppered goatee and pursing his lips. “Spoken like a true thespian. Haha! Get ready to take a bow…”

    ***
The man in red was gone. Anselme recovered uneasily from his lunge, his arm still outstretched. The knife hurtled towards its target.

Xavier looked around the room. While nothing immediately jumped out at his as dangerous, he did realize that he was quickly becoming the only person without a weapon. He decided to fix that, even though he wasn't sure he'd know what to do with it. He moved back down the hallway on a hop, plucking the dagger out of the first corpse they came across. "Don't suppose you're gonna need this anymore... I might as well make use of it." he explains to the dead man as he turns and quietly hurries back to the others.

The dagger slid into the creature's chest, between the ribs, and then, finally, pierced it's heart. It clawed at the Sorcerer and his Bond-Mate one more time, then slumped and died.

He pulled out the dagger, and laid his Bond-Mate gently on the sand.

Good. She'd live, for the moment.

Eris wanted to laugh bitterly, but her chest hurt too much. She was going to watch Jameson, her source for information, die to an assassin. And then what? Her plan for revenge on house Ostrim and the Imperial Family would have to wait longer. The Prince was here, she could attack him and kill him to make her entrance known.
But not like this. She was injured as it was. After the fight ended, if Jameson died there would be chaos. She probably would find treatment, she needed some help with healing with these wounds. But when she did they were going to either see her scar, or treat her as a servant whose master was deceased.

No, she couldn't let Jameson die.
Eris raised a hand, and the fire from the floor and oil rose as she muttered words. And then the fire gathered into the air in a round shape. The assassin was hit by a knife thrown by that Anselme, but continued towards Jameson. But he didn't notice the girl who was the White Witch. This time she grinning and snapped her finger.

    "Eksjurim Fyr!"
She shouted, and the fireball swallowed the assassin, and turned him to ash.

To Jameson the world was moving in slow motion. He looks up from his wound and sees a large trained man mocking surrender to Anselme with a crossbow. It won't work though, he knows it, this man doesn't care any more.

The attacker suddenly darts towards him and Jameson, in too much pain to move, is helpless to but watch his death coming towards him. His friend Turin leaps to tackle, but misses the mans legs. Anselme produces a dagger, seemingly out of nowhere, and pegs the attacker square. This does not change anything though. Jameson can see the large jeweled sword rising to chop down and end his life.

The sword is descending towards him when suddenly, the girl Eris screams something, a word he does understand and his attacker suddenly seems to combust. An explosion flings the sword away from Jameson and pushes him hard enough into the wall that it cracks, he feels a painful heat on his face, closes his eyes from the bright light and pain and when he dares to open them again sees only ash floating towards him.

He looks about his beautiful club and sees fire, bodies and blood. Most of the survivors are injured to various degrees and over near the balcony the Prince is not even paying attention.

He begins to feel angry, the pain lessens and Jameson manages to push his body up against the wall into a standing position and screams "What the HELL is going on!"

As you spread out into the large room, searching about in the flickering darkness a sudden roar erupts from just beyond the illumination of Mikado's fire sword.

Things that were once men come rushing from all corners, running across the floor and even crawling across the ceiling. They appear to be in an advanced state from the man you saw before. Their fingers have lengthened and their nails are sharp claws. Their mouths have become distended and filled with rows of sharp teeth, from the look you think they could bite a man's head clean off.

There are seven creatures in total, see OOC for rolls.

It was an odd group that had came down hole, one of them even had a burning sword! He had spoken only a few words with them, told them of his goal to slay Davis, they probably thought him hunting for the 100 sovereigns. They had agreed to cooperate in hunting Davis down, a wise decision he thought, there was no telling what monsters lurked down here and he was by no means certain he could do it on his own. However he was worried, his mission was to kill Davis and thereby gain fame or something for House Darran. Would it work if there was so many taking him down? He did not know. He trailed behind the others walking just beyond the edge of the light furthest in the back.

There were monsters here as he had feared; he had never faced anything like this before would his usual techniques works against things like this? Maybe it would be best for the mission if he stood at the back and let the monsters finish off some of his allies first, he bit his lip and stood still for half a second before he moved quickly toward the front while easily dodging past those that stood in front of him. As he reached the front he saw an opportunity to one of the sides, a creature was climbing along the ceiling, just above another one. In one fluid motion he drew a hidden throwing knife with his off hand and flung it toward the creature on the ceiling. It hit the creature in the eye and it fell from the ceiling atop the other one and they ended up in a tangled mess on the floor, desperately trying to get free from each other. That should slow them down a bit.

The others in the group were moving by now, but he had no time to see what they were doing. He ignored the creatures coming from the side with the one he had struck with his knife; he was not standing in an ideal position to take them on, instead turned to the other side and faced two oncoming creatures, one running behind the other. He drew one more knife and threw at past the head of the first one and straight into the one in the back. It did not fell it, but for a moment it seemed like it was too preoccupied with that to run further, that moment was all Amandre needed, he ran toward the closest one. It tried to hit him with a sweep of its clawed hand however Amandre dodged under it and got behind the creature and from behind grabbed and pushed up its jaw with one and before he slit its throat with his dagger. It made a bunch of gurgling noises and fell to the floor. Amandre turned and prepared himself to face to other creature which by now seemed to have regained its focus and was again running towards the group.

Turin gathers himself up off the ground, trying to avoid the burning oil. As he gets to his knees, he gets signed by a ball of fire flying past his face. Whatever is going on, it's now officially above his pay grade, as well as beyond his capability of dealing with. He's going to have to get himself some guards, time to enlist some of the lesser-endowed family perhaps. Well, all the goons and assassins seem to be gone. What now?

He hears Jameson gets up and speak, and moves over to check on him.

I don't know, isn't this part of your show, he jokes.
Either way, I think staying here is not a good option. What do you say we get some reinforcements to deal with this mess below?
