The elf nods and leads you through the gate. You see what looks like a massive stripmine that goes a few hundred feet down. At the bottom you see two colossal Displacer Beasts resting at the bottom. The strip mine is surrounded with caves all of them with doors on them. Their's a large wall similar to the one you just went through on the left . He leads you there knocking on the door a few times.

Niuqu shifts from foot to foot impatiently, Those beasts seem a bit . . . oversized.

Mirada walks along as she usually walks, like an upright dragon. Head tall, shoulders square. Horns glinting in whatever light there may be.

"Nay it is simply a place for it to rest until it's needed." The elf says. The door opens and you see a tunnel with a ladder at the end. You can still hear rain.

Miradal picks up her soon-to-be thrall, and walks with him on her shoulder.

"It will require an Emerald worth 500 Gold, And someone to cast bless on a chalice once the Vitalis Potion is completed."

Looks like some waiting will be needed.

"Not really, we merely need to find a temple of Ao, or Tiamat. Either will be willing to assist us. This land is apparently filled with good and evil of all kinds, so temples should be rather... common. If all else fails, I'll have to taxi people for a while, and you'll get to ride my back. Until we get the necessary Emerald. That is after all, the only thing that might be difficult to obtain." She turns her head and looks at him, "The only drawback is that if I should die, you will lose your newfound form. Oh, and I can always take it away rather easily."

"Before all that, though, any ideas for where we would be staying? Steady base would be most useful in task."

"Well if you've got that Jackanape on your side he's bound to have something in mind" he hands you a card with a number on it. "Call that number when you find a place to stay but if he brought you here I'm sure he has something in mind.When you do I'll have your Identification." The elf opens up the manhole and rain pours down than stops. Above the man hole is the captain with a glowing umbrella. "Howdy" he says helping you out. Outside is a lawnchair and a large pitcher of pink lemonade. It's raining like crazy. Under the captains arm is a newspaper. "I come bearing gifts" behind the lawn chair is the massive ironclad crashed into shore. "First off some apartment adds, I've taken the liberty of crossing out the ones you can't afford. A lovely sun umbrella for the priest. A small map of the city. Some ruined lemonade and this." he snaps his fingers and a beacon appears in the sky line. "Head there for free board and a fight"

"Wonderful, could you tell me where I and my soon to be child can find a Temple of Ao, or Tiamat. We require a quiet place to perform a very dark and evil ritual that goes against all of the laws of nature. My favorite kind." She pumps her wings, holding the halfling gingerly (as a newly acquired possession), and as she exits a loud *thump* sound is heard, like a grenade being launched, she then spreads her wings, and floats down to the ground, landing on the lawnchair in a sitting position. (halfling on lap) She strokes him gently, like a puppy.

After a bit, "Would anyone else care to become my progeny? In addition to the flight, improved strength, personality, and endurance, there are several other benefits, such as the ability to communicate with me and each other over long distances. We would, in effect, be able to carry on complicated conversations over great distances. If not, that will be my lair. Of course, you're all welcome to stay with me, for the price of rent, which should help me in acquiring the funds to perform the ritual."

Gillean enters the iron clad and comes out bearing a massive piece of pipe topped with a wickedly curved three-foot long blade.
"Food, board, and a fight. Sounds good to me."

Grumble.....Grumble.....I may be thrall but I'm not yet(Id try to wiggle free but you'd say grapple check and.....why try)But in-till Mira finds a lair and I can pay the rent, a free board shall do. as for the fight. Alie thinks for a bit If I can get up high I will be untouchable. Will give cover fire to anyone who needs it.

Niuqu looks at the ads, quickly scribbling down any of interest. (yes, he has paper & pen) Folding the paper, he looks up. I for one am going to see what this place is. Niuqu then proceeds to fly off using the beacon as a guide.

Arkadi heads up the ironclad, and grabs the two books that somehow managed to avoid getting wet at all and putting them in his bag.
"Am good on becoming thrall, but..but...when did THAT get there?!"
He grabs the tail that he grew in the tunnels without noticing and looks it over, finding it connected to his belt. Shaking his head, he looks at the others.
"Anyway, board, fight, food, that way. Think we all agreeing that sounds good.

[Ralasha]

"So, who needs a ride?" She sets the halfling down. "Decide quickly. I am about to go see about securing our housing."

Alie speaks up."you grew it a bit ago. non sure thou."

"Will be taking ride there."

After the only two people that wan't/need a ride hop on, Miradal takes off, and flies full speed to the beacon.
