"Heh" the captain laughs than pulls out another umbrella. A gust of wind comes by and he gets sent flying over into the harbor."Holy crap it finally happened!" he shouts with glee. Suddenly a bolt of lightning strikes him and he falls down onto the ironclad than into the water. "Owwie"

Happily holding his new umbrella, Markus starts making his way towards the beacon on foot.

Miradal swoops down and grabs Marcus with her tail. then continues joyously onwards!

High up enough you're able to see the liberty state park.where the beacon shines from the center.As of right now you can't make out much due to all the trees.

"No air travel for me, I can make it on foot. Besides, I need to get a feel for my environment." And with that, Gillean heads towards the beacon, taking alleys and backways, making a casual examination of various sites and potential safe houses as he moves towards the beacon.

(Taking 10 on my survival checks to both scrounge for food and navigate towards the beacon. Result is 18(finding food) and 22(navigating the streets).)

the now rather thoroughly shaken holy man hangs onto the dragons tail for dear life. "I don't mind the ride, but your tail is a rather precarious place when your on all fours."

Miradal stops for a moment, "Then get on my back!" She will wait until he is at least moderately positioned, and continues her romp. "I had forgotten how nice it is to run like this! FEEL THE WIND!" She shoves her face up into the air.

To Gillean (the park is like across the street from where you are) As you proceed
to the beacon you see some homeless men and women laying among the trees. When they see you they pull out a Polaroid picture and a small card watching you. All of them have a pistol on their lap. You also notice on the trees a square with red and white stripes on all of them.

To Miradal and those following. First as you pass by the lake you see a Titanic Duck sleeping in the water. after avoiding that you see where the beacon shines. The beacon lays on a very very large house with a large wrought iron fence surrounding it. The house is more of a mansion made of marble with five Corinthian towers holding the roof up.In the middle of the house lays a straight cement path dividing the yard.On the right there is a large tree standing in the middle of the yard stands a massive tree bearing some overgrown plums. Opposite of the tree is lovely garden full of animals made of bushes such as a shark, a panda, a Triceratops and even the tail of a whale. The fence seems to have no gate to it. The path ends at the fence and after it is just grass. At the end of the path within the fence is the captain. "Stay out there for just a moment until the rest are here so I may properly explain."

Catching up, Arkadi puts Alie down before looking back at the duck.
"That...is second biggest duck I have ever seen."

"Third for me, but the biggest one probably doesn't count. It was my father playing a joke on a hungry village with a glamour."

Gillean keeps moving towards the park, giving the marked trees a wide berth. He sees the rest of the party standing outside the garden and approaches. On the surface he appears pleased but a decent Sense Motive roll says otherwise. How did those homeless people acquire firearms? Why were those trees marked? And what the hell is that giant duck doing there?
"So I'm guessing we sleep in the garden after we kill and eat the duck? Not exactly what I was expecting from free food and a fight but I approve."

"I vote we sleep on the duck, and eat the captain because he isn't explaining faster."

I personally am opposed to cannibalism, but I would not be opposed to dangling him upside down from somewhere very high.

"Why punish Captain for waiting for everyone that wants to be here?"

"Because if they actually wanted to be here they obviously would. It's not like I couldn't carry everyone."
