I actually really want Full Power Week. The avvie's of a Dresden Files RPG character, and she's planned to become a Knight of The Cross.

The Full Power avvie will completely rip off a scene from Changes. If you've read the book, you should really know which one. If not, I'm not spoiling it.

I'd say make private votes, or make it so people can't change votes on a whim. Moving votes from something just cause it doesn't seem like a popular vote makes things very troublesome.

A "common sense" rule on nominations would at least sort out a few nominations. If the theme is something you can't see how a majority of the members on this forum could follow, then there's probably no point in nominating it either. Generally speaking, most people like to fit their regular avatar character into the theme in some way or another, so themes for which that's "impossible" probably won't gather much support (Clone Week is the exception that proves the rule).

I don't think this is a core issue. People don't move votes because they're afraid of going against the stream, but because they realise that a cathegory they don't like is (close to) winning and they prefer that another cathegory in the top. It's also but a minority of the voters who actually do change their votes, and I can't see anyone who did it twice this time. Your preferences are also pretty much governed by what ideas you can come up with, and if you suddenly come up with a great idea for a week you didn't vote for, you should be allowed to change your vote.

Personally, I think I'm going to with Crimson and Crystal, by Julia Ecklar (or maybe Cynthia McQuillin... It gets confusing.) if it wins. Though Shadow Lover or Lammas Night, both by Mercedes Lackey, are also possible.

Because, if it's the former, then I'd need a picture of the Forum Romanum, because I just call this place the Forum. And if it's the latter, then I can't decide between all the different elements.

Come on guys, I'm pretty sure what he said isn't that hard to understand. He means for our avatar to be what our name on the forum is. For instance, mine would be a zodiac sign. Now, this is a little harder with people who have actually names, like Skeppio, but in that case it just means you'd get to do something unique and cool with your art that week.

Not always. For you, yes, because you use yourself as your avatar. But I use characters of mine, some people come up with things specifically for their avatars... There are plenty of reasons that one might not normally have your forum name as an avatar.

We could always make sure to keep the nominations low by having a backing system. That is to say, Nominations have to be backed by two other people to be considered in the voting process. That way we know what people would vote on. But I don't know whether or not we should limit the ability to nominate if this were to come to pass. What do you all think?
