    Conall and Namaan

With a dull roar the breaching charges explode tearing the massive armoured door off its hinges and senidng them tumbling down the corridor. Screams and shouts sound from within the second control room through the massive cloud of smoke, dust and debris.

As the dust settles fractionally enough for the massive Storm Warden to make out targets he can see movement from within the cloud of debris... Terrified word of the pair of Angels of Death has clearly spread amongst the nearby security forces as the security forces here look pale and worried, eyes and hands twitching nervously. Some 25 heavily armoured security troops with hellguns and carapace body suits stand ducked down behind the desks, 3 more sprawled near the door dead and bloodied. Some 40 more officers and flight control operators hide behind the computer consoles and flight rosters, a senior officer, bedecked in scarlet and gold clutching a Brontian Pattern pattern 2-handed power blade stood in the heart of them...

    Ivar

Ivar snorts dismissively as the plasma shot splashes against the wall nearby.

Time to take a prisoner, now that the guards are dealt with. Best put on the business face, the scout muses, see if he won't surrender - or at least waste some time ranting. His Heavy Bolter, the barrel still warm, slides over his shoulder and locks into place against the ammo supply as the bolt pistol appears in his other hand. He levels it at the officer and takes careful aim. "Your aim is poor, heretic. You may surrender now, or after I have separated you from your limbs" he bellows in his most staunch tone, not really expecting him to do so. After all, that would waste the perfectly good shot he has lined up.

Conall's jaw clenched as he saw the troops arrayed in front of him. A brief image of a shadowed tunnel flashed in his mind, the sound of hisses from the surrounding darkness almost audible.

As quickly as it came, it was gone, and Conall was leaping forward with his claymore held high. Landing with explosive might, Conall layed out around himself, the huge blade in his long arms reaching across the horde of heretics.

The sudden assualt is swift and horrifically effective. The heavy bolter explodes into life as several dozen rounds blast through consoles, bodies and parts of the room at near point blank range blowing 10 or so of the men to pieces and wounding many more as screams of dead and dying resound through the air.

Following the hail of waist high lethal fire the massive Storm Warden on a plume of fire crashes into the midst of it laying about with his massive 2m long blade and crushing carapace armoured security troops with the weight of his armoured body. Screams and shouts echo from nearby the Storm Warden as he vanishes into a plume of dust and smoke and blood explodes from within it...

The officer ducks under the unrelenting hail of devastation before popping back up, ornate plasma pistol in hand as he fires at the massive storm warden.

Chaos erupts in the second flight control room. The two massive marines waded into the thick of it, both wreathed in smoke and debris and the blood splatters of the fallen heretics as they laid waste to the entire the conrtrol room. Conall vaulted over the room, jump pack burning a huge swathe in the floor and setting several of the sensor team on fire in the backwash of the jump pack. His several hundred kilo weight of muscle and armour slamming into the officer. The impact sends the officer hurtling backwards slamming off a console with bone crushing force landing in a heap at the foot of the hulking assault marine. The officer barely has time to roll over before the chainsword descends in a screaming arc at the mans shoulder. There is a horrific juddering and tearing sound before the chainsword cleaves through the shoulder and the body tearing the man in half as blood and gore explode through the heart of the room.

The few remaining security troops steel themselves as some lay down covering fire on the cyclone of death in the doorway while the rest leap towards the Storm Warden a strange name Vorr'trask on their lips as the move to avenge their dismembered officer...

Even as the security troops move to engage the Dark Angel, decades of heavy weapons training paying off as he ignores the las fire flickering around him and pinging off his armour depresses the thumb trigger of the heavy bolter and unelashes unrelenting devastation as a hundred or so rounds tear the rest of the security troops literally to pieces wreaking devastation on the room and leaving the last few flight officers dead, dying or diving out of the shattered windows seeking safety in the cavernous hangar beyond.

The hangar that now poses the greatest threat that the marines have faced on this bedraggled heretic ship. A heavily armed guncutter, plumes of fire jetting from its thrust controls as wing pods loaded with weaponry about to take off and no doubt turn and strafe the two marines to death...

Conall stood up, frowning at the remains of the officer at his feet. He was somewhat disappointed at the ease with which the heretic had fallen. I even used my small blade ...

Turning to face the others, he saw that Naaman had handled them, leaving the room clear of foes ... until the sound of a ship's engines drew his attention to the hanger floor. Looking out the window, Conall saw the Valkyrie-class vehicle starting to take off, the pilot clearly intending to use the space ship to strafe the two marines.

"Move!" Conall leapt forward, engaging his jumppack as he fell towards the hanger floor. Angling his trajectory, the Storm Warden drew forth his blade and brought it down onto the armored glass, a snarl clearly visible as his blade descended towards the pilot.

The Dark Angel, a moment later moving towards the windo staring down into the hangar draws his pistol and fires a heavy adamantine slug that punches a hole in the flight control surface leaving a small smoking crater in the expanse of pale green alloy.

The rest of the hangar spreading around the Valkyrie is a lot emptier than the previous one. An expanse of metal decking covered with shattered and heavily damaged bombers, remnants of the flight that was intercepted by the Sin of Pride 90 minutes previously. A few servitors still work but most of the crew can be seen fleeing form the access hatches after witnessing the explosive death of the control room.

Under the fire and the assault of an armoured marine the Valkyrie shoots into the air, desperately trying to shake off its unwelcome passenger and spin to strafe the control room with its 3mm fragmentation rockets and heavy bolter.

With great skill the pilot pivots on the nose spinning and raising its weapons to face the control room. The quad-linked heavy bolter cut loose at the Dark Angel who leans back using struts for cover as the rooms is literally torn to pieces by hundreds of explosive rounds but Namaan escapes harm. The torrent of frag rockets that rip the heart out of the room even he can't avoid but his ancient and battle scarred armour and inhuman toughness withstand the blast that sends him rocking and vanishing in the massive fireball that engulfs the control room...

Conall frowned at the lack of success he had in his initial attack. Not only did he fail to penetrate the glass shielding, but the the ship had taken off and was attempting to strafe his brother.

Growling inwardly, he reached down to grab near the seem of the shielding as he swapped weapons with his other hand. Seeing the success Naaman had had with a simple bolt pistol, he smiled inwardly, lowered his bolter, and activated the trigger into the glass at point blank range.

"Not very smart there" Ivar growls as the crewmen go for the weapons. He flicks his pistol onto semi-automatic fire and snaps off a short, controlled burst. Hopefully none of the others will be quite so stupid and he can get this little skirmish done with. There's still plenty of targets to hit.

The bolt shells blow the two hapless crewmen backwards of plumes of blood sending their bodies tumbling across the deckplating. The third glances at the officer and the Space Wolf before choosing the lesser of 2 evils and fleeing at speed away from the Astartes.

As he fires a short burst the heavy Kraken rounds shatter the windshield leaving a terrified looking gunner and pilot!

Before the pilot could respond to Conall's demand, the ship rocked under the sustained fire from Naaman's heavy bolter. Suddenly, the ship began to pitch and yaw out of control, as the pilot tried to wrestle with the controls. Forgotten were the assault marine, the fight with the Sin of Pride, even prayers to false gods ... in that moment, the pilot was consumed with living long enough to see the machine landed. And in that endeavor, he failed.

Conall released his hand-hold and pushed away from the gunship as hard as he could. He engaged his jump pack and fired the thrusters as the space fighter slammed into the hanger floor with an ear-splitting explosion ...

The Storm Warden's battle-scarred armor was still smoking from his close encounter with an exploding Valkyrie. Glancing around, he scanned the hanger for the next threat. Barring any foes requiring the attention of the Deathwatch, Conall nodded to Naaman and jumped back up to the control room, searching for any undamaged computers and checking to see if the officer was still alive. Perhaps his body would give clues to why the Brontian Longknives had apparently betrayed the Emperor and changed allegiances.

As the Storm Warden joins the Dark Angel, any hope of salvaging information from the control room is lost. The room is a dark shell, from the two firefights that had torn through it and the double salvo of explosive rockets that had reduced most of the room to fragmented metal no larger than your fist and turned the bodies to pretty much armour clad charcol...

Whilst the hangar is pretty much deserted save for some damaged fighter craft scattered about this portion of the ship seems slightly deserted- almost as if some strange force had killed several hundred troops nearby and left the corridors littered with dead...

As Conall and Namaan stand for a second pondering several thoughs cross their mind.
    1. Void craft need fuel...
    2. All the void craft have missiles hanging from their wings and there's not many in the hangar...

    Kol and Makradon

THe navigator vanishing from sight and the sight of Kol's Force Sword burying itself in the enemy Captain's head spurs on Makradon, but as he bounds across the bridge smashing through the burning consoles and bodies he skids to a halt, a 3rd transport tube doors closed in front of him, a red light on the side indicating it that its falling.

Back on the command throne, the only two things still living continue to duel in the flickering flames like armoured demons battling in the 7th level of promethium hell, both moving more slowly and ponderously from the wounds sustained so far...

As the techmarine ponderoulsy dashes past crashing through the burning bridge Kol and the mechanoid captain battle to the last. As the powerfist lashes out one last time Kol steps aside, a brutal punch throwing the enemy off balance, just long enough for the glittering force sword to hack down once powered by all of the son of sanguinius's hatred and rage. The blow, powered by iron will and massive muscles sheared through metal implants, flesh and bone and with a shower of sparks and blood the captain's head bounced across the bridge melting and bubbling as it settled in a pool of liquid burning promethium... The captain dead, the bridge destroyed and the hangars disabled things did not bode well for the heretic's vessel...
