    Default Braid Blade Shenanigans?

So I remember in Dungeon #120 they printed the Braid Blade; An Exotic Light weapon that you can tie in your hair, giving you an extra attack at -5 (-2 with 5 ranks in tumble) on a full attack. It's admittedly a paltry 1d3, though a nice 18-20/x2, though what I'm mostly seeing is that it doesn't seem to make a limit on how many you could walk around with; It just says you have to tie it into an extra long braid of hair.

So now, I'm trying to think of ways to pull off said shenanigans of walking around with a head full of braid blade dreadlocks and actually have it be both hilarious and somewhat effective. Since it's multiple attacks, a source of extra damage dice/statics would probably be vital (Go Go Knowledge Devotion). Or maybe it got errata'd into relative boredom! Not actually sure.

    Any ideas?

For those wondering, it's on page 35 in Dungeon.

Sanity rules would say a character can only wield one, but technically it doesn't exempt the possibility of more. It doesn't give any rules for wielding more. As for errata, I don't think any Dungeon or Dragon magazine article has been errata'd, ever.

Obvious sources of extra damage include Sneak Attack/Sudden Strike/Skirmish along with Iaijustu Focus. Turning it into a Kaorti weapon would increase its crit to 18-20 x4, so crit effects like Maiming are nice for pure damage. There are other enhancements that multiply on crits such as granting more Temp HP IIRC, but I don't know those off the top of my head.

I don't think you could ever qualify for Iaijutso Focus with a Braid Blade.

I've had a few characters who had one; one was a Dervish?

They are rather made for female dwarven rogues, I must admit.

One on the beard, one on the hair, sneak attack makes it have some sting to it, and, well tumble's a given...

Play any race that has hair all over its body, grow it out, cover yourself in Braid Blades, roll at your enemies.

Wow, I'm kinda out of it this morning. Each time I see "Braid Blade" I can't help but read it as "Brain Blade".

I do not think that would make for a good weapon.

LOTS of badass points if you could pull it off, but overall not a good weapon.

Voidmind creatures have their brains replaced with a psionic slime, which can unfurl out of an orifice and make tentacle attacks.

Technically, most creatures with fur wouldn't be able to do that, so be sure to get something with hair all over their bodies. Might be hard to find a race that is that specific, though.

I'm just sitting here in the back, dreaming of an Aura of Chaos crusader/rogue with a bunch of sneak attack braid blades in his hair.

Dude, the thread's like four or five years old. How did you even find it to (necromantically) post on it?
