Jasper's Apartment

Jasper just mutters in his sleep when Legion joins him, but stays fast asleep, one arm wrapping around her shoulders unconsciously.

The D'awwpocalypse draws ever closer.

Well, the hairless thing doesn't necessarily have to go on forever. The next time the doctor decides to shave, Percilia could always try to change his mind or buy him a wig or something. He's gotta do something to look slightly less Magtok-ish, after all.

"Breaching? That's where you kick the door in and then wave a gun about, shooting anyone that moves, right?"

Huh, apparently he does know what breaching is. Weird.

"Yeah, we used the Magbots for that, so we could stride in like Vader or something and interrogate any prisoners or whatever gets left behind. I kinda know what it's supposed to look like, from videogames and stuff, but I don't think there's quite as much slow motion or the usual half a dozen flashbang grenades to throw in before every fight."

Fettina's Suite

Tina finishes her pudding quickly, tempted to take more, but figuring it's best to watch what she eats. She's not the sort to drown in comfort food.

Shrike's eating habits prove distracting. Tina ends up staring a moment before blinking and laughing. "Maybe you should get some clothes, girls. Before we all drive Evan insane."

Jasper's Apartment

Legion... snoozes, then, looking remarkably small and innocent despite the fact that she murdered someone today. Of course, given Jasper's tendency to sleep late, the Lady ends up waking first. She blinks away the haze of sleep, glancing around the darkened apartment before sliding a hand up to rub Jasper's face. She loves the stubble he keeps there.

"Jasper...?" She calls quietly.

Jasper's Apartment

"Mrrggn.." Is Jasper's reply, one eye opening to look at Legion. He immediately spots that something about her is different, but, still being three quarters asleep, doesn't spot what it is right away. "Ergh.. You okay?"

Jasper's Apartment

"...Yeah." Legion says, voice a little gravelly from sleep. She looks him in the eye. "Sorry to wake you, I just... are you okay?" He seems exhausted.

"Mmmm! Radiation! It tastes green!"

It tastes green?

"If you don't mind, I've got a few munchies to go pickup. Be back soon."

Clarissa rockets out the front door at absolutely mind-boggling speeds! She is headed to the Red Zone! Dave could follow her, if he so desired, but he should be quick about it or he risks losing sight of Clarissa entirely.

"Well, you don't have Magbots anymore, so you're going to have to get right up to speed lickety split."

But how? How are you, Percilia, going to transform Tom into a real soldier? I mean, come on! He is clearly a pacifist! I bet he has never actually killed anyone in his whole life! It's hopeless! Unless...

"Have you ever taken someone out, Tom?"

I don't think Percilia is talking about dating...

Jasper's Apartment

"...Yeah." Legion says, voice a little gravelly from sleep. She looks him in the eye. "Sorry to wake you, I just... are you okay?" He seems exhausted.

"Just fine, just fine." Jasper mumbles, kissing her gently on the cheek. "You, er, you got a tattoo?" He asks, finally figuring out what had changed.

Legion blushes a little at the kiss and the comment, but it's hard to see in the dark. "It got me, I guess." Legion knows it doesn't matter, but she feels the need to ask... "Do you like it?"

Dave doesn't follow, he begins to pack though.

"Yeah. You look beautiful, as always." Jasper says, giving her a sleepy grin and running a hand through her hair. "'nother one of those Object things?"

Jasper's Apartment

Legion shifts a little, setting her chin on Jasper's chest and smiling mildly. "Yeah." With the cut of her shirt, Jasper may well note how large this tattoo is. "What's got you so tired?"

Being Jasper, his gaze follows the tattoo down to her chest quite quickly.

"Well, I hunted down the truck we left at the lake and dragged your stuff back here... Then I just kinda went on an adventure. Flipped a coin to decide which direction to go, hit the gas, figured I'd be back in a few hours... Took a bit longer than I'd thought it would, as it turns out. Monsters and demons 'n flat tires got in the way."

"Well, you don't have Magbots anymore, so you're going to have to get right up to speed lickety split."

But how? How are you, Percilia, going to transform Tom into a real soldier? I mean, come on! He is clearly a pacifist! I bet he has never actually killed anyone in his whole life! It's hopeless! Unless...

"Well other clones have, and I've got memories of putting holes in people that didn't deserve to have holes put in them, but erm...as an individual clone..."

He pauses, thinking back to his escape from Stroffy's place.

"Do literally faceless orderlies clone swarms count? I don't mean as people, because they were people and all, but..."

Aagh, no! Tom, now is not the time for feeling guilty! Those guys were just subservient minions trying to break your brain! They were closer to robots than anything else! Only a third of them even had a mouth!

"Are you okay? How long were you gone?" Legion asks, concern dulled by drowsiness.

Jasper's Apartment

"Just a day or two. Caught a train back, but it was hijacked by gecko bandits." Jasper says, before attempting to roll over slightly, so Legion is beside him instead of on top of him.

J&L's Apartment

"Uh-huh." Legion plays the good-natured skeptic. She lets him switch positions, mostly because it's easier to talk. "My adventure wasn't that fun. We gotta switch places next time."

J&L's Apartment

"As long as your adventurers feature alcohol.." Jasper says, giving her another kiss. "You want me to make us some breakfast?"

J&L's Apartment

"...Nah. I'm not really hungry. But I can cook you some eggs, if you want." Legion says with a huge yawn. She turns on her back and sits up, stretching her arms above her head.

"Hm, well why not?" Aeryn says with a smile, standing. "I suppose I should go get dressed for going out."

Mike teases, grinning widely.

Tina finishes her pudding quickly, tempted to take more, but figuring it's best to watch what she eats. She's not the sort to drown in comfort food.

"Nah, I'm good." Jasper rolls off the couch, landing nimbly on his feet. "So, got any plans for the evenin'? Cause if not, I know a wonderful little romantic eatery not that far away. Or we could go inflict one of our infamous criminal capers upon somebody. That would be fun too."

"We could always try that new mall, too." Legion says, standing and wrapping her arms around Jasper. She leans against him, wishing she were just a little shorter. Though her height does make it easier to try and turn his head for a kiss. "But let's stay here a while."

Shrike giggles, and sticks her tongue out at Fettina.
"Awww, I could, but where's the fun in that?" she asks with a broad grin.

Evan is still politely not staring. When he noticed the drips though? He closed his eyes. He is currently fumbling around for more of the pudding to eat; It's working, for the most part, but still, this is kind of sad.... and quite funny.

It sounds cruel and brutal when one only hears about it, but in application, it works quite well. Percilia is a living testament to that fact. Just go ahead and ask her about it! You'll see. You'll all see!

[The Forest of Silence]

All is silent. There is forest here. There is a figure in a robe standing near the center of the forest, but he is as silent as the rest of the forest.

Something odd happens. Runes play across the ground, and a great crack splits across the earth. Darkness swells across the forest from the divide, and a great obsidian tower seems to rise from the earth. The forest itself begins to expand outward, even as its heart is destroyed and replaced by a great Citadel of Darkness.

It is over. The Obsidian Citadel stands resolute in the center of the forest, the tips of its highest towers dimly visible from just outside the forest. The forest itself has been twisted into a mockery of nature, with its wildlife converted into horrible monsters loyal only to the master of the citadel and its trees made malevolent towards outsiders.

Cyrus grins as he ascends to the highest tower and places his hand upon the Ebon Door, the door that only he can open. His personal chamber is as one would expect of a Dark Wizard's Citadel, with a bed, a large library, and a single violet orb that would allow him to control the magic of the Ebon Citadel and the Forest of Silence.

Tina can't help but laugh again. Mostly at Evan. She gives Shrike a grin. "Yeah, c'mon. Just look at the poor guy."

"Faceless orderlies clone swarms? Geeze!"

And here Percilia thought that she had it rough!

"They count, but you shouldn't think of them as people you should think of them as things. When they're in your sights, they're only objects. Try it. You'll never feel guilty that way."

"Alright, I suppose."

Tom bites his lip. He can't say he agrees with that particular philosophy, or even intends to ever have anyone in his sights, but doesn't speak up about that for now. He's been putting off this whole morality thing for a while now. I can't help but wonder if he's ever going to speak up.

"So where did you plan on having us run this breaching tutorial, then?"

"I wouldn't exactly argue with that suggestion..." Jasper says, staring up into her eyes, a small little voice in the back of his head remarking that she seems to literally grow on him every time he lets her out of his sight. Not that he cares of course, as long as it doesn't get out of hand. He kisses back, holding her close and just enjoying being with her.

Legion pulls away and falls onto the couch again, likely taking Jasper with her. "Mm. We don't do this enough."

Though that's probably because Mary's usually too busy doing something about the Objects.

Speaking of which, she slides her hands back to pull her shirt off over her head. Which likely allows a full view of that strange, jagged tattoo. It frames the gem in her chest like it belongs there.

The Lady can't help but look at it, obsession coloring her face. Her fingers trace the edges. "Neat, huh?" She, for some reason, expects him to be paying more attention to the ink.
