"I literally just joined up, y'know, after storming the place in a fit of rage, it happens. As for the party, I wasn't aware you people needed reasons to party. Have some Booze!" Rocid begins shaking a bottle of the semi-existant liquor before trying to hand it off to Jack in place of accepting his handshake.

"Keep that stuff well shaken, if it settles then the sediment arranges itself into complex numerological equations that drive mad those who attempt to solve them."

Cyrus will gladly shake Jack's hand, with his right gauntlet peeling back as he does so. It kind of kills a friendly handshake when you're carrying the ultimate joy buzzer all over your body...

Anyway, Cyrus would rather not cause any trouble, so he actively takes steps not to electrocute/lobotomize Jack.

"I do not believe we have met either. Cyrus Ahu, at your service."

[Murkus]

Main Room

"Got that right. And hey, thanks. Something I can actually drink." Jack looks at the bottle and Cyrus, grinning. "Service? Oh, pal, you don't wanna do that." He takes a swig of the ecto-booze, wiping his mouth with one sleeve. "Nice to meet you both. I'm Jack."

Zefir is still here he goes and takes a drink from one of the henchmans and takes a seat on the couch.

Xifra enters, carrying all four of her Objects. Those who remember her as the plain looking girl who had an 'ignore-me' aura always on will find that she is now rather different.

She's recognizable as herself, but her features have been subtly changed to make her visually more attractive. Her aura is now under her control, and she can even reverse it to a 'notice me' aura. Currently it's on neutral though, so paying attention to her or not is up to whether a sexy woman in a sheer dress, moving with confidence, and carrying powerful magical artifacts is something your character would pay attention to.

She looks for Jack and when she finds him, will try and wrap her arms around him.

Cyrus smirks.

-probably get cut off by Xifra spontaneously appearing.

Jack's about to explain his joke, too, when Xifra comes out've nowhere. He's hugged, and the grey thing bristles. Jack turns with liquid speed, and upon seeing who it is, his grin returns. "Xifra! Honey! Baby! You look good."

She didn't come out of nowhere! She walked through the front door! It's right there in the location tag! *points wildly*

"You've changed," Xifra says, giving him a puzzled look while trailing her fingers down his torso. She can't quite work out what's different about him. "Did you sell your memories again? Get them back? Something else?"

Oooh, looks like Rocid is a wee bit jealous of Jack and his lovely companion.

He covers it up well though, he's in too good a mood to get angry, "Hey John-boy, who's your new friend? Evenin' to yah maam, names 'Cid, you need anything just let me know. I know people who know people. Same goes to you buddy, we may have just met, but I like your swagger. Now if you'll excuse me I have to see a man about a clock." he sort of hovers off, a bottle of booze in one hand and another crate in the other. The rest of the crates (three in total) he leaves sitting in the middle of the floor. Let one of the henchmen take care of it.

He'll make a beeline for the couch, and when he get's there he holds the single bottle out to Zefir wordlessly.

Zefir just holds his hand."No thank you."

He don't takes drinks from guys who work for an enemy from him.

Rocid shrugs and sets the bottle down at Zefir's feet.

"Suit yourself mack. Let me know if you're ever interested in burying the hatchet now that we're on the same side."

With a wink, he turns into the same little girl that assaulted Zefir at the door so long ago, and skips off merrily to spread alcoholic goodness to the rest of the partygoers. He doesn't seem to realize the party hasn't begun yet...

"Gods no, yes, and yes." Jack remains motionless in her arms, still smiling. "So have you."

"I've learned a lot from the Lady," she says.

Just being near Jack, Xifra can feel the Object pull growing stronger, and she doesn't fight it. The sensation is so intense. So real. She revels in it for now, just experiencing the desire, letting the need grow inside her.

"I can't wait to hear about it, Yochanan," she says to him telepathically. She isn't sure if this is the Other, but she thinks it is. She loves the human Jack, but she loves the eldritch Jack even more. Love him with a desperate passion because she knows it can never be returned in any way she can comprehend. But this too is a sensation to revel in and experience - pleasure and pain, love and rejection, passion and loss.

Oh yes the party has started. Things are calmed down enough for it to start, so Gordon gives the signal, and the music starts up.

"So, enjoy the party, people. "

Cyrus takes advantage of the opportunity to disentangle himself from the conversation, looking around to see if there's somewhere he can help with the party setup.

After all, cakes roasted with Hellfire have just the right amount of Damned Soul to taste absolutely delicious!

"Bit mouthy, isn't it? And Yoke doesn't really work for shorthand. Just call me Jack." Jack says, looking around. He tries to think of something witty to say, but comes up with nothing for the moment. "You're not here for the party, I bet."

Kitchen --> Main Room

Here comes the good Lady Legion, wheeling a large predatory bird into the room on a silver tray. She heaves it off the trolley on her own, then starts unloading the rest of the meal. Hopefully with some henchy help.

Cyrus will gladly help Legion out. He's several ranks above a typical henchman, but there's not much else for him to do.

"I could be, if that's what you want," Xifra says. "Whatever you want, is what I'm here for."

Where's your other half? she asks telepathically. I hope you didn't kill him.

"Hell, I don't even know what we're having a party for. Normally we celebrate by killing insignificant people."

Jack looks at her 'incredulously' at the telepathic question.

"Killed him? No. We've had a... parting of ways. He's at your temple, I think."

Which I have yet to post for. Whoops. >.<

Legion smiles at Cyrus. "Thanks." She seems to like him. For a villain, he's more polite than most folks around here. Though he might smell a particularly odd seasoning in the food.

Rocid hovers over to the bird after getting one of the henchmen wasted to the point of unconciousness (pffft, lightweight.) He sniffs at some of the food suspiciously before grinning at Lady Legion.

"Is that... it is! Paprika on this? Truly you're a culinary mastermind. Shame I can't eat..." (he has no idea what's on the food)

That's right, he still hasn' spoken to Gordon about taking up that contract that MURDER dropped. Huh. He should really get on that.

"Hey I know a great sauce for that turkey if you know where we keep the flour around here."

Cyrus beams right back.

"No problem! It's the least I can do to help."

He's in a good mood, all things considered. His plans are coming together nicely, he managed to pin the broken soul jars on Gregorovich, and he's gaining a degree of respect here in AMEN. What's not to like?

She's about halfway right. Deep down, Cyrus is a horrible depraved bastard who needs to die for the good of everyone, but he does have a classy, polite, and more or less benevolent side to his personality. He saves it for people who understand his ways, at least to a degree.

He does catch a whiff of the seasoning, but ignores it. Probably just some Nexus spice he hasn't tried yet. Most certainly not a Love Potion/Gender Change Potion, or anything like that!

Xifra, who at that moment had been willing to stay by this Jack's side all night, starts to grow agitated. What if Jack upsets Salome again? She can't bear it if that happens to her best beloved.

"How? I thought you needed each other?" Xifra asks, abandoning the telepathy since Jack doesn't seem to care about keeping the conversation private.

Nephrim arrives. She's in her natural form- that is, snowy-white feathered wings emerging from the back of an angelic, androgynous child with shoulder-length white-silver-blonde hair and eyes like bottomless white pits containing just a hint of cruelty. She's wearing a loose white silk toga nearly covered with various black gems and semi-precious stones. On her back, resting slightly awkwardly between her wings, is a red rucksack.

Seekers might be able to tell that there's an Object in the rucksack.

Karyana sets about subtly rearranging her features; the only child she's seen here was Nephrim, a confirmed shapeshifter, and she doesn't want to go through that again.

Zefir looks to the angel. At this times he is used to it and just don't care for her appereance.

"Nice bad. Who has died for it?"

Mainly refering to the red color^^

Jasper is here to, helping set up the dishes and cutlery and such! "Eh, I'm sure whatever crazy eldritch abomination-spice you're thinkin of is nice an all, but you can't throw seasonings around like crazy." He says to Rocid, not wanting to risk the ghostly being ruining the potions by accident. He's spent waaay too much time planning this out.

"Nobody. I didn't kill the store clerk I convinced to make a gift of it. I did tell her that she was ten years old and that her dog had just died and she was lost. It was very funny to watch." Karyana gets a quick, surreptitious smile. It's aimed to be noticeable, though what it exactly means is not clear. Nephrim's probably just trying to make Karyana paranoid and nervous, probably.

Karyana starts to grow quills.

Clearly, it's working, if the intent actually was just to make her nervous and paranoid.

Four of her hands move to a sword.

"Nah, it's just some of this booze, a bit of flour to thicken it, and salt. When you pour it over dead flesh it binds the soul of the creature back into the meat. Or something... I don't know, Kharn uses it on all his food. But hey, the chef has the final say." then he realizes he doesn't know who he's talking to. "Evening bud, name is Rocid. Care for a swig?"

He holds out a bottle in one hand and extracts another from the crate he's carrying. He'll haul a bucket of ice out from under a pigtail and set the new bottle in it, then attempt to put it on the trolley with the rest of the food.
