"Hm." Tarin sits back, biting her lip. "Maybe I do have thoughts and feeling, then. What do thoughts and feelings look like? What does it feel like when you have them?"

Okay... maybe Sophie was wrong after all. But she'd never admit it, sadly. Remember when I said people don't like being captured and forced to have tea parties and you agreed? That's feelings. And before coming to that conclusion, you thought about it for a moment. That's thoughts.

[Neon Knight]

"Oh, right! Like when I get upset when people don't want to come to my tea parties! And when I think up new ways to catch them! You're right, I must have thoughts and feelings." She pauses as she pours herself another cup of tea. "But... do only people have thoughts and feelings? I mean, a dragon, for example, might feel greed. And he thinks of ways to get more treasure. Does that make him a person?"

Sophie nods. Yes. Being a person with thoughts and feeling doesn't mean that someone is a good person, sadly. Many people have thoughts and feelings that are just plain bad. Sometimes it's their choice and sometimes they don't know any better.

[Neon Knight]

Tarin waved her hand, and a small plate of biscuits appeared. "Would you like one?" As Tarin buttered her own biscuit, she appeared to be thinking. "So... does that mean I'm a bad person?"

I... I guess it wouldn't be too bad.

Infirmary

"Well, you could always be my followers. I wouldn't complain about some new worshipers. Here's the rules."
He takes out a piece of paper. Written on it is:
'No follower shall treat another follower with disrespect.
No follower shall harm their children, nor their pets, nor their friends, nor another follower.
No being a crazy religious freak.
Talking to people about this religion is good, but you shouldn't force the religion on them.
Telemarketers are to be shooed away on sight.'
Then underneath is a section labeled info that says:
'If you need someone to help you in a crisis, please contact me at my number: 1-1-1-1-1-1-JohnKnowledgeHopeOrder'
And then another section labeled Notes that says:
'Some prayers may go unanswered.'
For all of you wondering, John does know how to let people tap into his magical esscence. And having followers use this essence helps train him to have a deeper pool. Like how a person has to workout to get bigger muscles.

Ally enters the infirmary and, ignoring everyone there, walks towards the back room confidently.

Ally tries the door to Toby's bedroom but finds it locked. A simple pin-tumbler lock, but she can't pick it with all these other people there. Remaining calm, she takes a key with the ridges filed down and inserts it part of the way into the lock. The young thief positions her body so the other people can't see her smacking the back of the key with the palm of her hand at the same time as she turns it. The key strikes the key pins, which transfer their energy to the driver pins. The driver pins bounce above the shear line and the lock clicks open. Ally enters the bedroom with a triumphant smile, closing the door behind her. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you bump a lock.

Oddball is here, following Jamie around and pretending to be a leek.

Her giggling, of course, masks the noise of the door opening inside the room!
And so, as she waters the garden and hums to herself, Toby is wholly at Ally's mercy.

A ghostly figure, apparently in his late twenties, is walking here.

The ghostly figure might spot Valaira, who is currently napping beside the lake in a red one-piece bathing suit. She looks as though she'd be fun to haunt, if that is the ghost's intent.

The ghost doesn't really intend to haunt anyone. Though I'm of the opinion that Valaira deserves it, after hearing Clarissa's backstory.

Echo does, however, spot her anyway, and goes over to her. He doesn't say anything, as he cant yet, since she hasn't spoken.

Valaira isn't actually so bad. She's actually an angelic reaper who is occasionally used as a weapon by beings greater than herself. She has murdered a few thousand cultists and soldiers from especially destructive and domineering societies, but they sure as heck weren't innocent. She got a little carried away after that...

But they all deserved to die anyway.

The hairs on the back of Valaira's neck begin to stand on edge. The air around her seems to grow chill. Colder and colder and colder still it becomes. She awakens with a start, recoiling backwards a few inches as she catches sight of the ghost. Her look on her face isn't one of fear. It is one of utter confusion.

"What are you doing here? I don't work with spirits anymore, so if you want someone to escort you to your afterlife, you'll have to find someone else."

[Quinsar]

The male smiles at John.

When Echo speaks, it sounds exactly like Valaira's voice.

"I don't want someone to escort to afterlife."

Valaira's eyes narrow into slits. She doesn't like this guy, stealing her voice without her permission like that. Grrr!

"You're not one of those voice-snatcher thingies, are you?"

Valaira inquires in a rather accusatory tone, sounding as though she is about ready to hang then convict Echo for voice thievery (in that order).

"If you filch my voice, I'll just take it right back, like I'm doing right now, so don't try anything funny, bub!"

See, Brianna was in the infirmary, and while she doesn't pay Ally much mind, she will pay attention to Ally entering a room that was a) locked, to her knowledge, and b) is Toby and Quinn's room.

She doesn't notice in time to stop Ally, but she will try to enter as soon as she gets to the door!

Valaira quirks her head to the side and inspects Echo curiously, almost sure that Echo is a demon, devil, daemon, fiend, ghoul, or apparition at this point. Why else wouldn't he want to be put to rest? Where's Tobias with his biography ghost banishing hocus pocus act when you need him?

"Then what do you want? You wouldn't be here if you didn't want something."

Valaira counters, suspicious still the most prominent overtone in her voice.
