    You can tell that the runes are meant to block the door from being opened. If it were to be opened, it would basically explode, loudly, alerting anyone in the next room about your intrusion. You figure you can disarm it if need be though.

    Over by the secret door, you sense basically no magic. Some of the meat has hints of the infernal taint from the camp, but it seems like this might just be because they've been handled by people with infernal powers, not tainted. Additionaly, you sense nothing magical about the secret door.

    Ok. As you guys go down the secret path, you start to hear some noise, mostly just the sounds of eating and idle banter. It sounds like quite a meal is going on. Above the random clattering, you can hear a voice. The voice is silky, though something about it really does seem off, and that's not just because of the same echoy, brimstone voice the Fell Courters have.

    "Leeet us prepare for combat, men! As you know, our scouting party has been destroyed, every man kiiiilled by a band of vicious warriors. Only this dear Eladrin managed to escape. He warns that they shall be cooooming here. I doubt this is the case, for we are too MIGHTY!"

    At the end of the secret path, you can all see that it curves to the right, leading into the room the warded door would of done. However, you think you might be able to get the drop on them from this angle.

    I will note that you can't yet see into the next room, as you are only halfway down the secret path. If you'd like to try and go down all the way and sneak a peak, I'll need a stealth roll. Only one will do in this case, as they can help the others sneak efficiently. I'd recomend Bast do the sneaking.

    Bast sneaks forward, and peeks around the corner. What she see's is a handfull of Tiefling Ruffians, the Eladrin Guard from the camp, and a Guard Drake, all partaking of what looks like a grim version of the pleasent feast you all had in Ashen Snow. Slabs of meat, cooked only as much as it had to, the blood still dripping from them layer the two tables.

    However, at the head of the room, not eating, is someone new. Another Eladrin, this one clad in cold steel armor. His hair is blonde, and he wields a large sword in one hand, which glows with a strange red glow. His eye seems to be in a constant twitch. He is the one who was speaking, and he continues to speak.

    "My brooothers! Eat heartily of the choice meats, for although I doubt the interlopers shall come and invade us, we must be strooong, and fit to FIGHT! Come tomorrow, we shall muster our forces, and STORM that little village. Burn it to the ground, THE GROUND! KAhahahaha!"

    We could rush in as quick as possible in order to benefit from the element of surprise. I could also try and disarm the runes on the door to open up a second front, but I don't think that's worth the time it takes.

    Ok. Since these guys are basically unaware of you guys being here, you do get a surprise round. Though do note that in a surprise round, you only get one action. Now would be a good time to note that Charging is one action. Charging is basically picking a target and rushing at them and attacking with a melee basic attack. You get +1 to the attack during a charge, and it's quite usefull. Just saying

    Also, for the purpose of the surprise round, you can all act as if you are at A1 or A2 of the map. Though note that if someone is staying in one of those spots, you will have to move.

    Miss: Half damage.

    Your shout of magic slams into Kalindale, and for a moment he seems to freak the hell out, grasping at his head in pain. He goes to scream for a charge, but before he can do so, the rest of the surprise attack happens!

    Teodor, gonna start in A2, and will Charge at the Ruffian at D4, putting him at C3. As a result, he shall do a basic melee attack on the Ruffian!

    (1d20+8)[21] vs AC

    (1d8+4)[9] damage if it hits.

    Teodor hits the Ruffian, his spear bashing the Ruffian on the head, who falls face first into his plate of meat, unconcious.

    Elden, Bast, and Carric left for the Surprise Round.

    Unfortunately, that does not hit. However, marking Kalindale gets his full attention. From this close up you can tell that becoming bloodied has basically put him off the deep end, if there can be an end deeper then he was already in.
