Deadly Decadent Court games
How many videogames deals with the equivalent of Westeros' Game of Thrones (You Win or you die)?
1. Crusader Kings 1 and 2 (Crusader Kings 2 expansion comes with backstabbing arab nobles since it is about dealing with backstabbing nobles)
2. Sengoku (Japanese version of Game of Thrones, minus crazy child king and mongol wannabes

Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines pretty much turns into one towards the end of the story. There's the Prince, Anarchs, that Tremere lord, and to spice things up, the Chinese, all vying for control of the thingamajig.
Not to mention the free players, such as Jack, and you.

The Total War vanilla games can be played like this, at least to some extent: You have access to assassins, spies, priests etc (depending on which copy of the series you're playing). In the wilds of the mod community I'm sure there's also mods that focuses extensively on cloak-and-dagger gameplay.
