Despair gets behind his shield, thus getting most of the oil on that instead. Some splashes onto his helmet and shoes, though. This results in a half-decent conflagration.

Which happens to be charging the Ranger, sword outstretched and ready to plunge unless he moves very quickly.

She replies with a giggle.

Arie happily skips over to Likhet and plops down in her lap. It is her duty as a dignified lady to keep her hair maintained.

He then took a drink and licked his lips!
"It's good!"
He needed calcium and vitamin A.
Plus he loved milk.
He offers some to Arie. He offers his Oracle everything.

Faith in the wrong thing, maybe. Faith Percival can steal, if he can wear her down.

Of course, that insolence will need to be the first thing broken. The lights in the room visibly dim, and the leather on Percival's coat seems to shift as if it's alive. His brow furrows. "Excuse me?"

Or maybe faith in the right thing. Eericka has endured life thus far with few scars and an exceptional education for a slave, not to mention that her faith has provided her with enough hope to stave off any suicidal or self-destructive tendencies.

The act of the lights in the chamber dimming does inwardly startle and impress Eericka. She doesn't outwardly display any signs of weakness or fear, though. She has lived in near constant fear all of her life. She has learned to live with it. She is visibly startled, however. It only takes her a moment to recompose herself.

"I can live with serving you while being abused to a certain extent. I have mentally accepted that as my fate. I do ask that you respect me just enough not to insult my family. Go ahead and berate me to your heart's desire, Lucifer. Just...just please leave my brother out of this. I didn't know him well, but he was the only brother I've ever had."

Hermitage of Dalachrech- Elezibethele

Yes, that is the purpose of Mine's purchase. Not so much a torture session, though.

"The hatch leads to a pen of giant tiger beetles. They have access to the forest and go out to hunt in the evenings. Your lives mean nothing to me; if I feel you deserve it, I will push you through. You. Come here." Elezibethele is pointing at one of the slaves, though not Mr. Scales or Mine. I seem to recall that one of the slaves has dark skin; if so, that's the one Elezibethele will point out.

Do you have a description of the slaves? I can't remember what they look like and nor can I remember how far back they were bought. I can find one for the Underside ones; it's just the temple slaves I would like a description of.



That's all very well, but unfortunately Azurelle sees it as a sign the slave's broken already and has accepted her fate. It's also seen as an attempt to initiate something when Azurelle, as the owner, has the final say on when to initiate anything.

Azurelle holds the kiss, temporarily ignoring the other two slaves and embracing the one doing the kissing. After not too long, however, Azurelle bites down as hard as she can, trying to bite the slave's tongue.

>.< I appear to have misplaced the description of the temple slaves as well. Darn. Well, I do believe that I recall that there was one dark-skinned slave present in the group as well. The others were tan/fair-skinned (in a one to two ratio, I do believe) with relatively generic eye-colors.

We'll just roll with it.

Elezibethele appears to be judging the slaves on their skin tones. Ugh. That's just terrible. No wonder Terrowin's homeworld was destroyed!

The slave in question turns about and attempts to fleetly flee! He's pretty quick on his feet, but not exceptionally so. He appears to be heading toward the chamber of torturing! Quickly! After him!

[Hermitage of Dalachrech- Azurelle]

Azurelle succeeds in biting the slave's tongue. She probably draws blood (and lots of it)! If she puts enough force behind her action, she might even cut it off. Eww!

The other slaves can't really do anything while Azurelle has their sister in such a delicate situation. The slave being injured flails about, but she really doesn't do much to force Azurelle to quit attacking her.

Stupid slaves and their lack of any form of martial proficiency.

[Riv's Hamlet]

A shady figure clad in a white, well-insulated parka, matching winterized, waterproof leggings, and hiking boots stands not far away from this area, surveying it for all intents and purposes. He lies on his belly, binoculars in hand, and attempts to memorize the patterns and mannerisms of the people dwelling in this area. He tries not to draw undue attention to himself. He's trying to be stealthy. Warsh even goes so far as to cover himself in snow in an attempt to mask his thermal signatures!

Of course, if this isn't a snowy climate, I'm going to facepalm and ask that this post be read as though Warsh was wearing jungle-patterned BDUs and covering himself in mud/dirt.

He also has one hiking pack in his possession. Inside of it is on set of civvies, a pair of sunglasses, a couple of pistols and ammo, a customized longsword, a switchblade, and a good number of rations and survival and hiking gear.

The lightning ball hits What right in his blood-stained black suit! Hooray! There's no way he-

...Oh gods, he's on fire now. And still coming after Quinn! She'd better move fast, because now What is charging right at her. In fact, he'd started charging before he was hit by the lightning, and if anything the blast has just made his charge all the more critical to him. While there hasn't been any sort of promise that killing Quinn will keep What from being destroyed, I don't think he even needs one. He's just going to charge, regardless of what might happen, and try to bash Quinn's skull with the terrible power of Mjolnir.

Kirk might have managed to land the fall, but with Wenomir under him he's more likely to fall on the other man and collapse in a heap and drop that gem. Unless Wenomir is able to move in time. Then he just barely lands on his feet.

Klenkh is slapped, though it doesn't stop him from giving Likhet a very brotherly kiss on the forehead!
He isn't attracted to Likhet or Arie, he considers them to be his family and loves them like that, even though he doesn't like Likhet much because she was annoying.
He tries to pat Likhet on the head.
"Buck up. All we need to do is find a stable place. I'll do another scouting once I'm rested. You should try to see what you can build out of the stuff around here, we might have to be here for a while."

Kate brings her staff up to block, but it does not appear to be very effective. She falls to the ground, dropping her staff. She writhes around a bit, rolls a little, and eventually curls up in a fetal position on her side.

...and tries to shoot Harnel several times with her Mugger Slugger.

A small energy weapon from MagMart, it does not mess with "non-lethal" nonsense. It punches holes the size of mouths in unfortunate thugs. Rate of fire is similar to other handguns. If allowed, Kate will try to empty the thing into Harnel. Not designed for prolonged combat, it can't have more than 20 shots in it.

Libra must have done a good job with the mind control.
