Casting Burning hands. Unfortunately, I can't help but hit Kulkov, but I do hit all three of the rats near me.

Kulkav only has time to give Malthos a look of utter betrayal and crouch down before the flames hit him. His smoldering flesh holds together, but only just.

Making use of Kulkav's Mad Foam Rager ability to remain conscious for another round. After that, he's going to -4.

The flames pour over the rats and Kulkov searing fur, flesh, and scale alike, reducing one of the rats to a smoldering mass of flesh, and burns the dragonborn nearly beyond recognition.

Mugan moves in, taking advantage of Malthos' blast, slipping around the rat and delivering another sharp blow...

Still smoking, Kulkav rushes the closest of the enemy rats, delivering a single vicious blow.

Charging the nearest rat, hopefully one of the ones that are further away, since Malthos was able to get all of the rats with his Burning Hands. If one is wounded, though, he'll aim for that one.

Actually miscounted on last post, forgetting about the additional HP from raging. It seems that Kulkav will be a bit harder to put down. May he hold back his use of Mad Foam Rager, given this new information?

Yes, you can hold back on the 'Mad Foam Rager'. The second of the two rats attacking you is still standing, so I'll have you attack that one.

Kulkov's blow smashes down, the blade's jagged edge ripping through flesh and bone, nearly parting the rodents head from it's shoulders... As a ragged strip of flesh is all that keeps it attached, the creature collapses in a heap.

Fredric's knife again tears itself free from the rodent's corpse, and hovers near him. He rushes forward, placing himself bodily between Kulkov and the oncoming rat, chanting a loud spell, and tracing sigils over his body, as a foul miasma of energy swirls around him.

The rats surge forward. The first slams into Fredric with brutal force, but the small man manages to remain standing. The Second and third viciously attack Murgan and Malthos with equal ferocity.

Malthos gasps in pain, but, realizing that Kulkov is terribly hurt, rushes to him, his hands and eyes glowing white. He also speaks a word of apology.

Kulkav nods gratefully to Malthos, accepting the previous injury as an unfortunate moment in the chaos of battle. He then strides past his ally, toward the twisted, gnashing things that assault the group. With a grimace, he stabs at the creature that assaulted Malthos.

The monster flinches back from Kulkov's blow, but not enough to escape unscathed... The blow slices off one of it's ears and carves a swath down it's shoulder and 'arm', staggering the beast momentarily, but not significantly.

The creature quickly returns the favor, slamming viciously into Kulkov as he recovers from his blow...

Malthos rushes to the rat attacking Fredric, and clenches his teeth as he coats his hammer in his blood with a quick spell. He swings it at the rat with both hands, yelling to Fredric. I'd suggest you drink one of those healing potions I made you!

Making use of the sudden relief, Fredric makes a flicking gesture, sending his knife flying into the rodent.

Murgan flinches back from his rat's snapping teeth, but steps back in to deliver his attack, as the two trade blows...

If Kulkav gets hit again, I might well do that, or count on Fredric to pour one down Kulkav's throat after he collapses (since Mad Foam Rager still gives one more round of attacks). In the meantime, though, it's better to try to limit the damage that will be dealt when healing has to happen.

As for party conditions:
Fredric is unscathed, though he burned through all of his temporary HP.

Murgan is at ... -2hp, and apparently bleeding out as he continues his rain of curses...(I clearly did a rather poor job of keeping track of him. I thought he still had 3hp left... Sorry).

Kulkov, could give us your current HP total please? I'm not sure how many extra you get for raging, and so can't add it up myself.

Also, would everyone who got bitten please give me a Fortitude Save: DC 12
