Can't miss "Saw" off the list. I'd say 2 was the best.

    Evil Aliens was damn awesome.

Of course. PG13 is the obvious limit.

Edit: On this specific matter, I wonder if it's right to even post the title of some film, 'specially when they're clearly not PG13. 'cause I've got some title (good for the "Disturbing Messed Up Films"), but they're for a mature audience, so maybe it's better to follow the rule "in doubt, don't post".

It would involve a fair bit of overlap, but things like "Monster Movies", "Zombie Movies", "Post-/Apocalypse movies", etc?

Dude, a ton of the above films have an R. PG13 horror films are a fairly modern invention. Most horror movies used to be an R back in the 80's, but studios realized giving a film an R kills its moneymaking ability because people have a stick up their behind about teens watching R horror films now. So they crank out PG13 for the theater, and release it unrated on video so they can max out their money.

I guess what I'm saying is if your worried, PM me. I'll post the movies, it's not like I havent posted some pretty freaky ones already...

Since you specified 'not the Nick Cage' version for Wicker Man in atmospheric, I think the Nick Cage version of Wicker Man qualifies under 'WTF'.

    eh, probably you're right...
Anyway: for the "Disturbing Messed Up Films", we can add The Human Centipede.
And (probably in the "Gory, serious", if not in the messed up), I also recommend Cannibal Holocaust.

I find your lack of Evil Dead disturbing.

Other than that, cool list. I'll have to go over it more thoroughly during my Halloween movie binge.

The Mod They Call Me:Two things to address here:

    1) It is a misconception that this board is PG-13. That rating is sometimes used as a rough guideline or example for the level of sexuality/violence that it's acceptable to post, but it is just a guideline. Nowhere do the forum rules reference PG-13 ratings, so, as ever, posters should use their best judgment and either not post something they're unsure about or ask a mod. If something that breaks the rules is in a PG-13 movie, it still breaks the rules.

    2) Posting the titles of, trailers to, or even discussion of works that have board-inappropriate content is fine so long as the title, trailer or discussion itself doesn't have board-inappropriate content, and otherwise does not break the forum rules.

Cannibal Holocaust was made to look like a snuff film (the director even got arrested because a lot of people thought it was), so it should probably go in the messed up category.

I'm avoiding the red band trailers. If there's something that's objectionable stil lemme know and I'll find a tamer trailer or take it down.

You might wanna reformat the movies that have a "the" so they don't all fall under "t". Like, put "The Birds" under "B". It makes searching for specific movies so much easier!

In all its nonsensical glory, the specific scene is on Youtube:

Oh, if you want a disturbing film, may I suggest When The Wind Blows. It's very difficult to find these days but its done by Raymond Biggs - the chap who did the Snowman animation. When The Wind Blows is also in the same style of animation but the second half of the film made me feel terrified, sick and massively creeped out.
