But then that would technically straight up be slavery, and thus against the law.

Maybe it's a store that lets you design species to be integrated into the Nexus ecology? That's the only way I can think of to "sell" a sentient being without slaving it to a person. It would also give players an IC way to design a completely new character that would have some affiliation with the character that designed it, and eliminate the need for a hefty backstory.

A few months in the future, all new Nexus character bios will just be "Grown in a lab by crazy vampires, looks like a cross between a jackalope and a platychidnapus."

Now for the actual purpose of this post. For those that were selected for the Dr Kraken stuff, I do still intend to do that. I've just been lacking inspiration for it lately.

Actually Prometheus currently owns 18 very non-sentient slime golems. And even then, was it established the pizza-clones were sentient? I can't remember...

It depends on how literally the law is interpreted. Technically, all the things they make are free to choose not to go with whoever they were created for, but since they have a strongly implanted loyalty to that person...

Also, Karyana has made some slaves too. I don't think you can get around it there, since she made them for Cyrus.

Neither Riv or Prometheus have any slaves at the moment. None of their troops could be called slaves, despite having no free will of their own, because they're all linked to a hivemind with three primary personas, that is, Prometheus, Daedalus and Icarus. If "freed", the Drones would be vegetables and the other troops only slightly better.

Cyrus doesn't use the so-far-unnamed Dragon-Nantuko-Elf-Whatsit creatures as slaves, so much as he cultivates an image of himself as basically a God and one who favors them.

This is aided by the fact that he feeds them, clothes them, and teaches them about simple technology that makes their lives easier. In return, all he wants is an Army.

Should be, since it pretty much only affects your character and how he progresses. Will probably also be extremely difficult to pull off well, since he'd have his death scene before you know anything about how he progresses as a character through the social interactions he had in his past (your future). But if you can do it, more power to you!

I could take a stab at it, though I would need to know how people would react to an old codger (neutral) / a rowdy young guy (chaotic good) / and a well-intentioned extremist from a failed time line (chaotic evil) all with varying knowledge of who people are.

If anyone would like to form a vague history that he may have with a character, my PM box is all ears.

Well, all of my characters would react to the middle person differently depending on what his views are, so no comment on him.

Karyana probably wouldn't have occasion to meet him, but if she did, her reaction would depend a lot on when she ran into him, considering that she's going to be getting married to Ashley and Zwei, discussing whether or not Zwei can be resurrected without turning Ashley into a different person with Carrie, rescuing her friends, and having some rather unpleasant backstory things brought up at various points in her timeline. So her mood will vary greatly in the near future.

The Triumvirate would probably say "You think you've gone through a lot? Try living for four thousand years." to the old guy, and tolerate/ignore the youngster.

Rael also shouldn't have much reason to meet him, and, once again, has a lot of mood changing things

With Adrin/S'Kanthos, it would depend. He tends to take offense easily, but only about certain things.

Those are the only ones that I have a comment about, with that vague a description.

Well he is only a vague concept at the moment, I don’t have much to go on myself. I don’t believe I read much of S’kanthos where would I find him, and how offended would he get enough to try to kill people (or put a bounty on someone’s head) because I always wanted to have an ontological paradox be the cause of tension between people.

Side note: Are the Triumvirate (that’s the cloaked people right?) just going to remark about how odd the elemental boys are or will they talk to him, one of the bodies is sitting by itself at the moment.*In other words poke toward mallside*

Yep, that's the cloaked figures. They're mentally discussing whether or not to try using them in place of the golems, since there are three of them. But the consensus, just reached, is that they should wait on it until they know more.

As for S'Kanthos, that would depend, but it's certainly possible.

Regular minty fresh bad. I mean, you can get bit by zombies and smacked around by super bio weapons all day long, but as long as you have a red herb and a green herb and recognize that they love each other very much, you'll be fine.

In this case, normal bad. Tirin's been predicted to kill the person containing the cure, therefore releasing it.

It's kinda half and half.
The T-Virus is very contagious and the one cure that Umbrella has for it needs to be given close to after inhalation or else it won't work as well(not counting the cure that Elena's clone will exude, though it only restores those still alive with the virus in them).
Plus, the zombies feel no pain, though after 10 shots in the chest they die so they're not like regular zombies.
Plus, I'm going by the movie for when it broke out in Racoon City for a lot of info.
