Facility - Eastside

Cutter, in his human form, mutters to himself as he hears the Horror above him, in the vents. He tries to ignore it for the moment, until he sees Carly. He senses what's wrong with her, even from this distance, and curses, readying his blade to strike her down. Before he can charge though, he pauses, fighting himself mentally. She wasn't a full Horror, or else she'd read differently. Plus, she was still obviously sick.

With a growl, he changes the angle of his blade to stab upward, into the vent and at the horror. "Run!" He shouts to the woman.

Facility - Eastside

Carly is about to ask the doctor what's going on, when she realizes that he's covered with blood and about to strike her down with a sword. She's frozen in place, unable to respond in any way, until he speaks.

She has no idea what she's running from or why, but somehow she finds herself running anyway.

Shin doesn't make any sudden moves and watches to make sure they don't either as he says, "Oh nothing, just heard about how people who go into this mysterious fog always come out inextricably robbed. You boys wouldn't happen to know anything about that would ya?"

Eastside- Backstreet

Murdock whirls around when he hears the men speak, pointing his taser gun in the direction of the voices. "I am Officer Murdock of the Eastside Volunteer Police Force. You are under arrest for suspected robbery!" He shouts, looking all around nervously, ready to zap anything that comes rushing towards him.

Eastside- Backstreet

The guys look at each other in confusion, sad you still can't see them in the fog so this goes unnoticed again. He shouldn#t hold his zapper just in front of him there is another person between him and the others and he may not want to tease him. Well maybe.

"You missed that guy. He ran down the street just a few minutes ago."

If Shin's machine could notice it the big guy points at the other end of the backstreet.

Club Pulse- Basement

So it seems the monkey is stuck until somebody comes back into the basement, yes?

If so, the monkey will continue searching the room for anything it might have missed until the janitor comes by again.

Club Pulse- Outside

Another monkey arrives, to have a look elsewhere in the club. It will check the window first, to see if it's open. If not, then it will use the door to enter the club.

Exbourne Manor

Mateo's here, and he's looking for Ramiro to talk about that castle. Mateo spends lots of time in the wilderness, and he thinks his skills might help. Plus, he wants a look around it due to his personal curiosity.

[Club Pulse- Basement]

Actually, there is a closed window with a blind over it down in the basement, the monkey could open it from the inside and climb out.

[Club Pulse- Outside]

The window on the second floor is locked and there is a blind covering it so it won't be able to see inside.

It can sneak in as the cleaner is about to leave however as she's staring in shock at the flying fortress over the city which actually isn't too far away from club Pulse.

[Facility - Eastside]

Cutters blade cut into the vent and can hear a scream emitting from the horror. Then he might be able to feel warmth around the blade itself as something very sticky attempts to enclose around it.

If Cutter drags out the blade he will find that a long sticky maw have sucked on to it.

[Malechanar - Sky Fortress]

For now the fortress remains motionless, but the eyes sweeping the streets. Standing underneath the flying building an observer might be able to see some sort of landing platform right underneath the castle surrounded by eldritch glyph's with six gargoyles sitting perched upon it.

Elder Moss will nod gratefully to the well-groomed young lad. Such a darling child.

And unless anyone else involved in the orphanage objects, I'm willing to say the bathtime and dinner can be handwaved, leaving Tor free to speak with any of the other orphans, depending on player availability.

Riley's totally here. Yep. He was the whole time. And he took a bath. Came out smelling like Brand Name (TM) brand soap!
And he saw Tor again.
"Sorry I almost shot you earlier...I think my arm reacts to fear..."

"Not too long now. I'm in a bit of a hurry."

Reynar mutters, shoving his way through the crowd, clambering up the ladder to the lower hallways, and from there leading his uneasy ally to a heavy steel door locked with a solid looking chain. There's no windows, no doorknob, just a handle set into the metal, the chain spanning the doorframe and an oversized lock to which Cephar no doubt has the key. "Bl♠st ♠w♠y." He says, covering his ears and taking a step back.

"Oh, it's okay. It reacts to your fear?"

Tor looks slightly contemplative, then glances around. No elders here. He leans his head forward to grin creepily in Riley's face.

"I'm sure it'll have plenty to react to, then."

The child then spins around and, whistling cheerfully, goes off to groom his hair or something.

When Tor (because that's totally his real name) whispers in Riley's ear, something ticks in Riley's head. Something he thought left with his brand and his arm. The beast may be gone, but the magic still lingers.

Riley's non-robot arm shoots up to grab at Tor by the throat with inhumanly fast (in fact, it happens to be eldritch monsterly fast) speed, and much to Riley's horror, starts channeling the brand's power if it manages to catch Tor, attempting to scour his mind, which would leave him dull and thoughtless for a few moments whilst giving Riley some of his powers and mental attributes and letting Riley know what he's thinking for those few moments.

Riley gets the powers and mental attributes of, um, a ten year old child. Tor was thinking "Heh, it'll be funny to mess with this kid.", and now he's thinking "OH GODS WHY DID I THINK IT'D BE FUNNY TO MESS WITH THIS KID?!". He's also slightly choking, as there's a hand around his throat. He manages to stay relatively not dull and thoughtless however. He grabs at Riley's wrist and tries to pull the other kid's hand away, but since Riley is older than Tor (or at least his body), he probably can't. There's panic in his eyes, as he is not used to being choked and doesn't know the appropriate response!

Riley's eyes begin to glow with a sickly green light, and he smiles. His teeth have become sharp and sharklike, and wriggle about within his mouth. A voice from nowhere assaults Tor.
"א๏ย รђ๏ยl๔ภ't tгא t๏ รtєคl tђє ๔гєค๓єг'ร ๓єคlร, ฬคlкєг เภ tђє ςђเl๔'ร รкเภ, ђє ๔๏єรภ't tคкє ฬєll t๏ tђเєשเภﻮ ๓๏гtคlร."

The grip tightens, and the robot arm raise to bring the palm (where the barrel of the bolt gun is located) of the hand beneath Tor's chin.

Tor has no clue what the voice is saying! Too strange! The kid does, however, have an appropriate response. He tries to kick Riley hard... in the "vulnerables" between his legs. He's still panicking.

Riley looks down at the foot between his legs.
"I don't think that works on gods or eight something year old boys as well as it does on your usual prey..."

What 'Riley' doesn't notice is that Riley is starting to gain control and has forced the robot arm to lower. The robot arm grabs the flesh arm and pulls it away, and the glow and sharp teeth disappear. Riley collapses, panting, and looks up at Tor, fear induced tears in his eyes.
"I'm sorry!"

Tor goes to punch Riley in the face! And then, regardless of his success in the matter, flees! Run away!

Riley is punched in the face and is knocked over, his nose bleeding!
"HEY! THAG HURHS!"
He does what the good people at NO taught him while he was recovering from his surgery...
He takes aim at Tor's kneecaps with his arm...
And fires off three bolt pistol rounds!

Riley pulls himself up, strides over to Tor, and attempts to plant one suddenly heavy foot on the boy to hold him still, pointing his arm at Tor's face. He smears some of his snotty blood from his nose onto his fleshy hand and attempts to punch Tor right back in his nose, mind theft powers possibly causing a short seizure to Tor when he does.

"There's something wrong with you. You're not a real kid. You're...you're someone else. Something else. Like I was sometimes when I still had my brand."

Fight happen quite often in an orphanage, even one as devoted to peace and aiding people as this one. So when Moss hears the muted sounds of a fight over the running water (he's doing the dishes) he doesn't think much of it. The children will be scolded, if they're lucky by him and if not by Gertrude, and suitably punished for their actions.

And then he hears more gunfire, and is immediately at the kitchen door, staring into the hallway with shock written on his face.

"RILEY! By Yoda what have you done?" Moss will rush over to Tor, headless of Riley being near, and attempt to examine him for injuries.

This is beyond his abilities, he's sure, "GERTRUDE! Come quickly!"

Outside, the specter who just knocked on the door gives a shudder. Not because of the cold, although certainly the chill of the air is biting quite fiercely through the thread-bare rags he wears, but because somewhere quite close someone invoked something nasty. He can practically taste the fear in the air, feel the words of power that were spoken resonating in his bones...

Ugh. He hates nasty horrid chthonian things, always giving honest spooks a hard time of things with their insidious insanity. An affront to professional dignity it is. He glances at the door again, measuring the odds of it being opened anytime soon, and decides to take a more expedient route.

With a puff of cheap cigar smoke, the bogeyman dissolves into a pool of shadows which slip under the doorframe and go speeding into the orphanage, heading for where the words of power were spoken seconds ago.

The lock explodes, tiny pieces of broken metal flying everywhere as the chain falls to the ground. Taking his hands away from his ears, Reynar whistles a cheery little tune as he saunters forward to give the door a kick, revealing...

Well, a heckload of weapons.

The hunting room, as Cephar calls it, is small, well-decorated cabin packed wall to wall with trophies and hunting equipment, although knowing Cephar nearly all the "trophies" were purchased instead of won. The entire far wall is taken up by dozens of stuffed heads mounted upon ivory plaques, the names of the beast's they once belonged to engraved below just so nobody could possibly fail to appreciate what a great hunter their owner must be. And Cephar would be a great hunter, if anyone for a moment thought he actually managed to poach one of Gl'bgolyb's prized pseudopods. The Mirthful Messiahs only know what that cost him.

The other walls hold more immediately interesting fare, or rather the weapon racks placed against them do. As much as Cephar's taste for faux hunting trophies might be overly-grandiose and tacky in the extreme, you have to hand it to him for his taste on weapons; sleek blue rifles with varying-magnification scopes that can punch a thin little laser through three buildings to hit their target, compact hold-out pistols that pack enough punch to paint an entire wall with the blood of whoever's on the receiving end, stun guns that can leave a blue-blood in a state of mind similar to a vegetable for weeks, and so many more.

And in the center of room are the real prizes; Cephar's bow, his weapon of choice, a crescent shaped sliver of silvery metal studded with clockwork gears, pulley-chains and dozens of other minute machines designed to give it the absolute maximum pull, which rests in a velvet lined glass case. Propped up against that is the mirror, a frameless shard of glass covered in tiny engravings that glow with faint light, effecting a pattern not unlike a spider-web.

Depending on what Riley's "bolt pistol" actually is and shoots, Tor's injuries could be anything from shattered kneecaps to no kneecaps at all. And he's apparently been given a seizure too, and a bloody nose. The child faints now, from all the trauma and blood loss. His hair's all messed up too.

Riley sighs and removes his foot from Tor. He looks around, then screams, "HELP! WE NEED A GROWN-UP!"

Moss will begin ripping open his shirt, tearing off a strip and trying to tie a tourniquet around Tor's left leg. The right one looks saveable, if Gertrude can get there in time, but all he can do for the left is try to prevent any more bloodloss.

Sister Gertrude normally appears quite harmless and kindly.

This is not one of those times. Instead of hobbling along, leaning on her staff, she strides purposefully through the Children's Home at the first sound of the gunshot, fire (not literally) in her eyes, and fury in her heart.

As soon as she enters the room, she thunks her staff down on the ground. "Give! Peace! A! CHANCE!" she roars, letting off a powerful Hippiemancy spell that should prevent either of the children (or any entities possessing them) from engaging in combat with the other.

She takes a moment to look over the two children, realizes Tor is by far the worst injured, and kneels next to him, laying on hands of healing. This would have been unlikely to harm him even if he were still undead. As a living child, it should stop the bleeding and prevent him going into dangerous shock. He'll likely need an operation to save the leg though.

While all this is going on, a lone shadows slithers into the room, sticking close to the corners where it can hide amidst to it's kin. The bogeyman watches with interest, trying to figure out which of the two kids uttered all that horrible gobbledegook.

Tor is unconscious, so if the hippimancy spell has any effect it doesn't show. The healing does work, but it looks like one of his legs is unsalvageable unless magic were used to completely reattach it. He did get hit by explosive rounds, after all.

Moss just hangs back and lets the Sister do her work. He sadly doesn't have enough faith yet to use any of the truly powerful hippiemancy. He does, however, get things ready to transport Tor to wherever Gertrude instructs him. Although there hasn't been an incident like this since he started caring for the children, what to do in the event of it happening has been drilled into him just in case.

"Where can we take him?"

"Riverside Hospital." She takes off an crystal pendant, glowing with starlight, and places it around Tor's neck. "This should keep him alive. Hurry, Elder Moss."

Once they're gone she turns to Riley.

"Turn over the gun. Now." There is a compulsion to obey in her voice.
