{Nexus} Good League of Good LXXVII: Earth Vampires DON'T Sparkle!

Annabelle tilts her head at Quinn.

"OH! HI. WHO ARE YOU?" she asks, approaching curiously. Maybe this nice person will know what this place is for!

Koro follows along quite willingly. You see, when he's got gold on the mind, it's hard to get him to think about anything else. And although the dwarf may have hid her gold, Koro can still smell it just fine.

Brinika waits for Misaki to come. With her and Caretaker's help, she'll probably manage to get off the tree.

Misaki helps the goblin down, rolling her eyes slightly. "Brinika, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Misaki removes a pine needle from her own hair as she asks this.

[Morty]

[Outside]

A singer, Brinika replies without hesitation. I want to travel around and sing for people. Maybe with a band.

[Wherever the Hippies Are]

Sophie is approaching them with an exasperated expression.

[Main Room]

In there sits Andy. in front of him are th usual papers for Glog and currently he is going through them.

[Somewhere Outside]

Since the giant scorpion doesn't react to the hippies he goes and continues digging around in the forst. The holes aren't deep, but they are still a threat for distracted who walk around here.

Annabelle tilts her head at Quinn.

"OH! HI. WHO ARE YOU?" she asks, approaching curiously. Maybe this nice person will know what this place is for!

"I am Quinn Druid, Head of Pastoral Care for the Good League of Good, and Champion of Neirian," Quinn introduces herself. "Who are you?"

[Earl of Purple]

Main Area, Outside

"Mrs Applehill doesn't want to see you," Brand says. "Unchain her all the way. Now."

"Mrs. Applehill? That's not a City Elf name. Are they a Wood Elf, or a Sea Elf?" Regardless, the elf stoops over and removes the chain from the marsh goblin. "Is there somebody who will see me, or shall I leave?" If she leaves, she'll want to take her goblin with her.

Main Area, Outside

Brand looks directly at the Marsh Goblin. "You can have sanctuary here, ma'am. Slavery is illegal, and there are people here who will protect you." And then looking up at the elf, he says dismissively. "Go then. Good riddance."

[Earl of Purple]

Main Area- Outside

"Fine, if my money is not wanted then I shall leave. Myrim, heel!" The noblewoman's affronted, and raises herself up regally. Myrim, however, glances nervously at Brand before running off to the lake and jumping in. "Myrim! Myrim, heel! Come here, or I'll have you beaten! Oh, the first time you are disobedient it HAS to be when we're out!" The noblewoman runs after the Marsh Goblin, but stops when she reaches the water's edge and looks about for her carriage and Minotaur guards. They aren't nearby, being quite a distance outside the gate.

Brand spits at the woman, and walks back toward the main cabin.

Annabelle brings a finger to her lip as she thinks for a second. She still has trouble recalling her name at times.

"OH, UM - ANNABELLE I THINK."

She returns her gaze to Quinn.

"I WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT THIS PLACE DOES."

"You're at the Good League of Good," Quinn explains. "We help people who are in need, and assist those who are evil who want to reform their ways and become redeemed to the side of Good. Or at least neutrality."

"OH, THAT SOUNDS REALLY NICE! SO THIS IS A NICE PLACE FOR NICE PEOPLE TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE BE NICE PEOPLE?"

Annabelle tilts her head. She's quite an odd creature, to say the least.

A singer, Brinika replies without hesitation. I want to travel around and sing for people. Maybe with a band.

...and now I'm imaging the horror of a goblin popstar.

Misaki rolls her eyes. "I hope you're better at climbing stages than you are at trees."

Sophie is approaching them with an exasperated expression.

They pounce on her immediately. "Have you seen the terrible earth vampire that has been polluting this bodacious sanctuary of nature with negative vibes?"

"OH, THAT SOUNDS REALLY NICE! SO THIS IS A NICE PLACE FOR NICE PEOPLE TO HELP OTHER PEOPLE BE NICE PEOPLE?"

Annabelle tilts her head. She's quite an odd creature, to say the least.

Quinn nods, smiling. "Exactly! That's exactly what we do - and we also help those in need in times of trouble, as well."

She points to herself with her clawed hands.

"IS THERE SOMETHING I CAN DO TO HELP?" the ghoul asks, smiling brightly.

The invisible Andy here just keeps an eye on the elf and when she rans to the lake Andy goes behind a tree and makes himself visible again.

"As i said, this isn't you Third Elf Empire. This is the Nexus and here slavery is forbiden."

"Perhaps. Would you like to become a GLoG member?" Quinn asks, smiling as well!
...while also discreetly using her paladin abilities. Detect Evil. It's the only way to be sure.

If Annabelle could tell that Quinn had tried that twice in this short conversation, she might be vaguely offended!

"WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO DO?" she asks, "JUST HELP PEOPLE?" she might be able to do that, though people tend to be a little scared of her. She doesn't mean to be scary, it's all just preconceptions about ghouls!

Quinn only tried it once. The first time was Woman Paladin's Intuition.
"Help people, and also help with keeping the camp running." Quinn also thinks she might get along well with the GLoG ghosts, but isn't sure if that would be stereotyping.

Annabelle gets along with almost everyone! The ghoul thinks helping people sounds easy enough! She's helpful! Although, probably not mental help. She might not be all that good at that.

She's a bit simple, but she's nice at least.

"I CAN HELP! THAT SOUNDS NICE."

She smiles.

"Welcome then."
Quinn smiles brightly as a drone buzzes up bearing membership forms!

Annabelle happily fills out whatever information she can in the forms, before handing them back to Quinn. She's a good little ghoul!

"IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO RIGHT NOW?"

Brinika pouts. Of course I am! I've already performed on stage once. We hosted a big charity event and me and other girls sang.

"Really? Huh." Misaki would have liked to have sang. "Well... I know I want to be something more than that. I want to have adventures, and help people, and save the day!"

Sophie sighs. How did they hear of it? There is no earth vampire here and never has been.

"Whoa! You can't deny the truth, babe! There mostly definitely has been an Unidentified Burrowing Object in the region. I can feel the vibes, man." Another hippie taps the lead one on the shoulder. "Hey! Hey, dude! Hey... what if she's the earth vampire, dude?"

The hippies stare at one another, and then clump together for protection, waving dream catchers and crystals at Sophie.

[Morty]

[Outside]

Brinika's ears twitch. You sound like Jamie. She also wants to help people and have adventures. And she has magic.

[Hippie Camp]

Sophie rolls here eyes. I'm a qualified monster hunter and if I say there's no earth vampire here, it means there isn't. And I'm sure your wiggly crystal things will tell you I'm not a vampire either.

[Neon Knight]

[Outside]

Misaki smiles. "Yeah, so, you see why I need to grow up!"

[Hippie Camp]

The hippies freeze for a moment, then break up with a sigh. "Bogus, man... so, if it wasn't an earth vampire, what was it?"

[Morty]

[Outside]

Brinika nods. Yeah, I see now. I don't think I'm an adventurer material myself, she adds a little glumly. She feels bad sometimes that she's not as brave and adventurous as the other children.

[Hippie Camp]

Sophie shrugs. I have no idea. This "earth vampire" story was just a rumor that went out of control, from what I've heard.

[Neon Knight]

[Outside]

Brinika shouldn't feel bad. All the other children are probably a little insane. Misaki pats her on the shoulder. "That's okay. You could be my singing sidekick!"

[Hippie Camp]

"Maybe... if you're hiding the truth, we will find out." The hippies leave because I'm out of jokes.

[Morty]

[Outside]

Brinika looks up, eyes wide. I could? The catgirl probably has to bend low to pat her on the shoulder.
Watch out Misaki... if Reelshka finds out you've been trying to talk Brinika into adventuring, she'll go ballistic.
