[Monodominant]

There are 10 doors down this corridor, five on each side but only six of them in total have name plates on them.

You see the following employer names: Mary Berkham, Christian Mraz, Petra Vilum, Napura Misla, Alexander Dreifus, Joanna Wolter.

[Moranica]

I take named door (1d6)[2]

[Monodominant]

It opens easily. Inside is a bare white room. The only change from the endless white is a black stone set in the center of the ceiling. "Name?" a female voice says from the stone.

[Moranica]

Scribly...... miss stone.

[Monodominant]

"What sort of talents do you bring with you?" the voice asks again and the continues.

"And a small demonstration, if you please. To prove you are not boasting foundlessly."

[Moranica]

"Of course", Scribly smiles.

Changing his appearance to that of the guard from earlier, using his change shape as well.

Disguise (1d20+20)[23]

[Monodominant]

"A passable disguise" comes the voice again.

A section of the far wall recedes and slides back. You hear the voice call out from beyond. "Please proceed. That demonstration was sufficient."

Inside you see a young gnome female dressed in fine clothing.

The woman says, "You appear to have the sorts of talents that Mister Mraz would find useful. Do you have any questions of me?"

[Moranica]

"I'm that whatever you will tell me, questions will come to mind. So go ahead and tell me your proposal and I will ask my questions then."

[Monodominant]

"Ah I guess this is your first time using the Flint's services! Well no worries, everyone starts somewhere..." she says and grins.

"So, we are here only to facilitate the pairing of employer with employee. An emloyer comes to us and asks for us to put up a job in his name. He gives us the category and any traits he is looking for in an employee. When an employee comes we are allowed to answer any questions he may have about the employer etc but we dont know the details of the job itself. If the prospective employee is interested we hand them a note with the address and place and then they may go and discuss with the employer about what the job is and how much it pays. While you have an outstanding contract you cant get another job from the Flint unless if you turn down the job offer and then return to tell us." she pauses.

"I guess it sounds complicated but it helps protect the Sad Flint, the employers and the employees in the end... the employers are also bound by the non-disclosure like you are... so they cant for example ask you to murder someone and then tell the Guard about it..."

[Moranica]

"I see, so you are not the employer. I do have some questions then."

"What is the going rate for such a job? Or are employer and employee free to decide by themselves? How is the Flint getting anything out of this? And who is the Flints owner?"

[Monodominant]

"Prices are negotiated with the employer. With my experience I would say that such types of jobs would net you 1000 gold depending how dangerous an impersonation may be and what will happen to you if you are discovered..." she says.

"A useful tip would be to also ask for some expenses you will have to be covered though if that is accepted depends on the employer..." she adds.

"The Flint makes money by 'renting' a spot in our facilities and my salary is also paid by the client. There are jobs that go in a day and there are jobs that take weeks. While a job is still active we still receive payment. It is the security that the Flint offers that employers pay for in practice and the fact that we cant be touched..." she smiles.

When you ask about who owns the place she frowns.

"I am afraid I cant answer that..."

"You can off course ask questions about who the employer is etc. We are generally allowed to give any information that we know of and that is public knowledge..."

[Moranica]

"Alright, what can you tell me of him? Has he hired here before?"

[Monodominant]

"Christian Mraz is a wealthy merchant or perhaps even businessman. He operates a chain of weaponsmiths, armorsmiths and blacksmiths in the Guildsmans District. As one can imagine he has many rivals and enemies.

In the past he has been accused that he has bribed city officials to get his way and to destroy opponents.

He has used the Flint twice before. Both missions were succesful." she replies with a blank look and neutral tone.

[Moranica]

"I see, and does he have any publicly known problems at the moment?"

[Monodominant]

"Problems not really. He and a couple of other merchants are running for chairman of the Smiths guild. It is said Klarisa of Hornwall is set to win due to her donations and connections with the Court."

[Moranica]

"Thank you for the information. I think I'm ready to see this mister now."

[Monodominant]

"Splendid" she replies and hands you a folded piece of paper.

"Good luck and I hope to see you again..." she says with a mischevious smile.

The paper contains the address and a note saying that whoever comes for the job should knock on the service door. The place is a manor house in the North Market Quarter.

[Moranica]

Scribly heads to the adress, keeping his current form.

[Monodominant]

You arrive at the manor. It is a two story house inside a walled compound overlooking a small beautifull plaza.

The front gate has a small 1 man guardhouse and a bored looking guard is leaning against the wall and having a snack.

You arrive at the back door.

[Moranica]

Scribly knocks.

[Monodominant]

A good two minutes later a young girl dressed as a maid opens the door.

"How may... " she begins to say before she notices your more brutal appeance, ".... er... yes?" she finishes rather lamely.

[Moranica]

I came here for a job. Your master is expecting me.

[Monodominant]

She looks about to deny you entrance when a stern voice is heard from inside.

"Let him in woman. I have bee informed Master Cristian has given instructions for this."

At that she allows you to enter and eyes you suspiciously.

Inside you see a large kitchen with two more maids busying over cooking pots and pans. There is also a man dressed all in black with a large wound where his nose must have been once.

He motions you to follow him.

"Would sir require something until Master Mraz joins him in the study?" he asks you as he opens a large double door and ushers you inside a grand room with thick carpets and bookcases from wall to wall with the exception of the part wherre there is the fireplace. There are no windows but the place if illuminated by three large candelabras.

There is also a couch and four armchairs surrounding an oval table made from oak.

[Moranica]

"I'll have some light wine, if you have it, thank you."

[Monodominant]

The servant returns with a glass wine that you find to be of fine quality.

Approximately five minutes later the door opens and an elderly aasimar enter the room. He is dressed in an immaculate silk vest and light trousers. He looks towards you with some interest and then walks up to you.

"Good day sir. I was informed by Gregory you are here to see me. Perhaps you have something to prove either who you are or who sent you?" he asks.

You know that the note signed by the facilitator in the Flint is what is needed as proof you were given the job from there.

[Moranica]

"Indeed sir, I was told you needed someone ....... [changes face to mimmick his (1d20+20)[35] ] with special talents. "

He also passes him the note.

[Monodominant]

He takes the note and though you detect a moment of suprise he tries to look unimpressed.

"Quite a good trick. Can you do voices and handwritting as well Mr...?"

[Moranica]

"Scribly, sir, and I can do the handwriting as well, though I will need to buy some supplies for it."

I would say its bluff with a penalty... alter self if you know your target would also work wonders in such a situation...

There is actually a disguise/bluff skill trick that does not give an observer that knows the subject the bonus...

"Interesting. And how far are you willing to go? Would you harm, with words and actions, a mans family, friends and business for coin? Would you be interested in something that may call for replacing an individual... and by replacing I mean removing and then impersonating..." he says seriously.

[Moranica]

"I didn't come here for some kind of circus act. If the coin is good, it will be done. Of course, the steeper the risk and penalty when caught, the higher the price. Replacing someone is fine for a small time. No longer then a day or two."
