Sorry for the late reply, it was a tough week!

The valet has been in the service of Erek for most of his life. His father was Erek's fathers valet and he continued this relationship. He is well paid and content. He has a son of his own that is even serving at a Noble's House and very proud of the fact. Generally he is not that talkative with you or most of the other staff but he is a close confidant of Erek.

The housekeeper was "inherited" with the house since before it belonged to Erek. She and her family have been taking care of it for 3 generations though with her the line ends as she has no children. She is bitter, snappy and annoying but she does a good job of commanding the other servants, including you, and proud of it. She used to have a thing for the valet but her feelings were never revealed to anyone but the young girl in the kitchens.

Thought about this a lot, and decided on the on the "when he's sleeping thing".

The house is quiet. Only the snores of the cook break the silence as you get our of your bed a few hours past midnight. You have already sent word to your replacement to arrive before dawn to resume his normal position and you are ready to what needs be done.

Having faked a stomach ache you have retired early and as such you are even rested.

Using his Ectoplasmic Form power, Scribly tries to move through cracks and small openings to reach the bedchamber unseen.

His extraordinary ability serve him admirably and he enters the bedchamber.

A low snore can be heard from the bed.

In theory I could become an Intellect Devourer and use it's body thief ability through my metamorphic transfer feat. My question however, what happens when I stop being an intellect devourer and am still in his skull. In theory, I could recast 4 times a day, staying in that form all the time. I would just need an 8 hour period to sleep, in my normal form (since duration is 7 hours), which I could do disguised.

You can indeed use the ability and do so... but there are 2 problems.

This power works if the body has been dead for up to a day... so on day 1 you can indeed do that.

You could even exit and rest and then reenter... but it mentions that the body starts rotting after 7 days and that is when its constantly inhabited.

If you go in and out of the body to rest, those 8 hours would leave the body a completely dead husk speeding up the process of deterioration.

I would rule that you could do as you say but for no more than 2 days...

Anyway, Scribly is rather new to this work and the mindbug is scary. He'll go with impersonations.

Alright, I hate doing this, but best get it over with.

Scribly uses metamorphesis to transform in a cloacker and quickly uses it's moan (stupor) ability on the sleeping man. (using his metamorphic transfer ability)

Scribly moans and the man... well he does nothing but stay in bed.

You see no movement at all from him.

Not quite used to his new form, Scribly moves closer to the bed, and hits the man in the neck, hoping to break it, with his tail.

A few drops of a green-grey liquid bubbles from the lips where you would normally expect a few drops of red blood.

Quickly Scribly transforms back to his normal self and wipes the green blood away with his sleeve and fully undresses the man. While applying the preservative, he studies his body and mimicks it with his change shape ability and disguise. When done, he puts on his pyjama's and stuffs the man into his bag of holding, before taking it's place in the bed.

Heart pounding and his body still filled with adrenaline, Scribly lays there, considering his deeds, his first murder.

What have I become? Yet it was so easy. Is this how I want to live?

You have heard of creatures with green blood but none as close to humans as this man. Some of the stories say that when a shapechanger dies it takes its original form but the dead man in front of you remains as he was...

Even as you take of his clothes you see that he is 100% anatomically human.

Having finished the gruesome acts you have him safely in the backpack and are in his bed, your own fears and doubts assailing you.

A lock of hair in a locket...

The idea comes to mind that the hair may belong to a long dead loved one or perhaps a current loved one.

Though a particular creature with such habbits doesnt come to mind you also know that hair, and other body parts, can be used to enhance the power of divination magic.

The guy I just killed is human and only 2 months old? This is highly unusual to say the least. This is .... my head hurts .... I really should autopsy this guy, but that would make it difficult to stage a suicide. Whatever it is, human or otherwise, it can't do much harm when it's dead and in my bag of holding. ... Boy, I have a feeling this isn't the end of this. Good thing I'm good at adapting.

Hmmppff, might as well try it on the ring as well.

They are of masterwork quality. Whether or not they are magical is not something you can tell with your mundane vision.

Tired as he is after the andrenaline leaving his body he sleeps rather quickly only to wake up at the sounds of a rooster somewhere in the district proclaiming that the sun has risen in a very annoying way.
