The post id (the number you're using) is unique for the entire forum. So, for example, here's the first post in your index, about V being true neutral.

    [post=11664984]V is True Neutral![/post]

    which will give you:

    V is True Neutral!

Terrific! I'll try to make another version update with these added at some point in the near future. That will help out a lot.

Malack's proposed chamber is not related to historical events of any variety.

In the same vein, Malack is not an allegory for LGBT.

Although I don't know if this one is necessary? Seemed kind of obvious to me.

I think that's one of the best explanations I've ever read. The Giant could write a very good booklet on how to write, if he ever wanted to.

    • There are no players behind the characters.
    • OotS is a story, not a game.
    • If there were players, the game would not be about "playing without any emotion and tactically as effective as possible".
    • Durkon did not want to die when he went against Malack.

To be fair, it's not a new metaphor. Though neither are the Giant's reasons why it makes no sense, of course.

I am guessing this comment about LoTR and Star Wars doesn't qualify for inclusion in the index, even though it is in response to (and a comparison with) the initial comment about OOTS.

I feel like it wouldn't fit, because the comment is not actually about OOTS. Right? Also it isn't a plot point that needs to be clarified, it's a meta-discussion.
I'm pretty much the opposite of concise. If I fail to get to the point, please ask me and I'm happy to (attempt to) clarify.

I would not take that quotation as proof that the Giant speaks French. He may do, but that quote is merely a reference to a famous painting by Rene Magritte.

"C'est n'est pas un pipe," below the image of a pipe. It draws the reader to realize: no, it is not a pipe, it is a painting of a pipe.

By analogy, OOTS is not a game of D&D, it is a picture of a game of D&D, if even that.

The Giant says: Yes, I am aware TV Tropes exists as a website. ... No, I have never decided to do something in the comic because it was listed on TV Tropes. I don't use it as a checklist for ideas ... and I have never intentionally referenced it in any way.

Simple one. I put the most irrelevant part of the Giant's post first and then acted like the actually relevant stuff was irrelevant. I didn't really work on it too hard, so I guess it wasn't as clear a joke as I thought at the time.

I do worry that the Giant's relationship with his fans has been a little stretched thin over the past 9 days. I've loved the new comics, but I feel the enjoyment that comes from participating here on these forums has taken a sharp dive in the same time span. Just got to keep things in perspective - its the internet, and there will always be a vocal minority that will make bizarre claims and critiques. Comes with the territory, unfortunately.
