"Well, I've never really gotten around to visiting the butterfly garden, but I've always wanted to," Kara admits, snuggling up close to her girlfriend.

"Well, can't say I get why you'd rather shoot her than let her be kept here until you're released, but what the hell, your freak monster-girl to kill." Riv says, holding out a pistol to Rael.

Wait, did he just imply Rael had a choice in killing her?

And more importantly, did he just hand a known assassin a gun?

Rael scowls.

"I was not informed I had a choice in the matter. Your person specifically implied I didn't, in fact."

[Kara's Apartment]

"Then we should go there while we've got the chance."

"Yes. Let's."
...but Kara, as of yet, makes no move whatsoever to move.

Riv's Fortress

"Well, maybe he was just tryin to be kind and spare you a difficult decision. See, if little Miss Invisible here stays, she won't be just sittin around being useless. She'll be helping us run a few tests to determine how effective these new soldiers you've so kindly provided will be. Riv smirks, returning the pistol to the holster hidden under his coat. All as planned. Much more of a chance Rael will agree to let his little freak undergo testing instead of killing her, now that he's spent a little while dreading having to do just that. "Now, I'm not an inhumane man, and I have no intention of doing anything that might be qualified as torture, but some of the tests will sting a bit. Certainly not pleasant stuff."

What Riv is (likely*) unaware of is that the runes were actually not part of the D'Lattan death ritual. Instead, it was very wonky magic, binding her soul to the site where it was performed, or the nearest place to it if that's impossible, the closest ocean, and the place where her soul enters Gtharon's realm. As such, Rael hasn't been dreading killing her, precisely - he's been afraid that Riv would kill her, or make him kill her, before it was complete.

"What sort of testing, exactly?"

*If he has a way to sense magic, then it can be a delayed effect, so that it's only actually magical a bit after the carving of the runes is complete.

After a bit, Talnissa will smile, and say "Were you planning on us going anytime soon, s'saeta?"

"...I guess we should get started at some point, shouldn't we?"
Kara giggles softly, and reluctantly stands, stretching.

Time to furnish Dave with a wee bit o' small talk to keep his mind off of his most grievous injury and the healing process! Clarissa attempts to firmly grasp Dave's arm with one hand while her other flicks apart into a fearsome congregation of lengthy, needle-thin swaths of violet flesh.

"Don't worry, Dave! This won't hurt a little bit."

"It'll hurt a whole lot."

With that "reassuring" phrase, Clarissa attempts to plunge a score and a half of said writhing tendrils into the base of Dave's stub! It might feel as though his finger is on fire for a moment. Then, suddenly, numbness! Clarissa's tendrils slip away from Dave, and he might find his finger slowly regenerating centimeter by centimeter.

"You're going to feel very hungry in a minute. I re-enabled the blastocysts in your finger and upped their capabilities just a tad."

"This is the first time I've tried this on anyone. I need you to let me know if you're feeling lightheaded or dizzy or nauseated or maniac-optimistic."

At the mention that he might be hungry his stomach growls.
"Let's go make something to eat, I'm starving."
He walks into the kitchen and begins taking out things to make burgers.
Hopefully he remembers to at least put on pants before he goes out back to use the grill...

Harnel, you're crazy.

It takes a while for Cessie to reply, "What? Just don't stop yet" She seems much more relaxed then she's ever been.

[Mithar Keep]

Harnel just does something that would be best described as a giggle as he continues massaging Cessie. It'll likely continue like this for some time, before Harnel finally stops, and shakes his hands. He's quite strong and has a lot of endurance, but massaging people can be hard on the wrists. "Feel good?"

Fettina's Suite

Make-outs happen! Likely sloppy. Tina is a little hesitant at first, but gradually warms up to it. Unless Evan tries to hold them up, she'll likely fall on to the couch at some point, taking the demon with her.

Evan won't hold them up, no, so they'll be on the couch doing makeouts. After a while of this, very gradually, Evan will attempt to draw the curtain. He's ready to stop at any moment though, in case Tina decides she doesn't want to.

Talnissa laughs as well, and stands with her, enjoying the view.

"If you actually want to get to the butterfly garden, yes."

Hallowmere Lake

Sunny goes outside to greet their guests and, since Magtok is hovering, hovers herself so she can give him a hug. "Did you enjoy the ride?" she asks.

Archer runs around happily sniffing Stheno, but is annoyed that Magtok is hovering. Why do his hoomins keep doing that?! How is he supposed to smell where they've been if their feet are out of reach?

Hallowmere Lake

"So this is the house, then? Very nice place you've got."

Magtok reciprocates the hug, and does his best to not respond at all to Stheno's comment or Sunny's question. Pfft, like he's going anywhere near that thing on the way home. He likes to have some measure of control over whether or not he dies horribly, and putting his life in that lady-monster's metaphorical hands is as far from that as possible.

Hallowmere Lake

Carl comes out with Sunny, smiling as he wipes his hands on a towel. "Thanks for coming, Magtok. And thanks. We're making improvements on the place."

Stheno rolls over playfully when Archer sniffs at her, pretending to be dead, slain by a pug.

"Much better then before..." Cessie replies in a amused tone as he finally stops. "Your hands have much better uses then handling weapons apparently..." She muses. "You have to do this again."

Clarissa will not follow Dave to the kitchen! That's nonstandard protocol. Hmm... I wonder... Oh my goodness! Are you okay Clarissa?

Judging by the way Clarissa is curled up on Dave's bed motionlessly hiding under the covers, I'd say she's alright! ... Right up until the violent shivering starts.

What's that you say? Today is Thanksmas? That explains everything! She must have been struck by some debilitating magic so that she won't be able kill anyone today! The caster? Her angelic half, probably.

Dave is way too preoccupied with burgers to notice what Clarissa did.
After all, he had to make sure to add the right amount of the secret ingredient.
Poison. Love.
And cheese.
He mixes the cheese in with the ground beef so they're cheesy burgers.
He fashions the patties and puts them on a plate. He's about to go outside when he notices it's rather chilly outside.
He then notices that Clarissa isn't near him.
And so he searches for her!
And finds her shivering.
"Clarissa, what's wrong?"

Clarissa squeaks! Clarissa is freezing! Brr! If Dave so much as pokes Clarissa, he'll find that she feels like an ice cube.

"D-D-D-Dave? How mu-ch y-y-you value the b-backyar-d-d-d?"

Clarissa is going to completely destroy the backyard! Quick! Brace yourself, Dave, or dissuade her from bringing about the ruination of your backyard!

"Your wish is my command, Sia Memamosal," Harnel says, grinning, He steps off of the bed to let Cessie get up, and begins pulling his clothes on, specifically a robe that Cessie might recognize as one of the pieces of clothing her family gave Harnel as a wedding present. He figures he might as well get some use out of it. Not like he took the time to do that before. "I'm going to go to inside. Do you want me to pick you up anything while I'm there?" Of course, Harnel is planning on getting her flowers, even if she says there isn't anything she needs.

"Hmm...as reasonably well as anyone. I mean, I want my kids to have fun back there one day, maybe put in a pool...fix that brick barbaque...why?"

"Mm... some food could be needed." Cessie replies while slowly turning around in her bed, she better take on some clothes now. Lazing all around all day was unproductive, especially if you were naked while doing it. Something had to be done.

"Nice clothes." She comments with a smile as she looks at him, looking rather groggy at the moment.

"Thanks," Harnel says, "I figure I may as well get some use out of them, right?" His tail is underneath the folds of the robe, but I'm guessing that the tailors made holes for his wings.

Cessie just keeps smiling groggily, trying to clear her head after that wonderful massage she just had. "It suits you, I can almost see you in Hestopia wearing those clothes... which reminds me. Could you buy some clothes for me as well while your out Harnel?"

Harnel grins, "What kind of clothing, my love? For the pregnancy, or otherwise?" He continues dressing. If Cessie's family provided some sort of foot coverings, then that's what Harnel is putting on now.

BOOM! The earth (might) begins to tremble and shake, convulsing as it belches up magma from its chest. The house might begin to rumble and shift! If Dave glances out of a window, he might notice ash puffing down from above! His backyard might just have fallen away into the bowels of the earth, possibly taking the properties of several of Dave's neighbors with it.

"Th-th-that's why..."

"I'm-m sure tha-t the k-k-kids..."

"KIDS?"

Children? Dave wants children? What?

They did in fact, everything is individually tailored in her world after all, no mass production exists there at all.

"I'll leave that up to you Harnel." The mage replies while slowly getting up from the bed, arching her back as she stretches herself. Feeling rather numb from the massage.

"Just get something nice."

Oh ho. She's willing to trust Harnel's definition of nice, now is she? "Sure. I'll pick you up some maternity clothes then, as well as some more normal ones." Then he moves over to her to give her a passionate kiss.

Harnel was very affectionate, not that Cessie minded especially much when they were alone. She warps her hands around him and makes out a quick but passionate kiss, "Now, now, we can't be physical all day no matter how much we wanted." She whispers in his ear.

Lust was a sin after all. As in, too much it it was a sin. Lusting after her own husband then and then wasn't exactly wrong, it was intended that way and she was going to enjoy it.

Oh, Dave's neighbors will be perfectly fine, I'm sure. The ninjas that Dave didn't eat when he was all loopy that foolishly remained on their properties might not die. Not yet. That'd be a horrible waste! Clarissa has other plans for them, especially if Dave is unwilling to compromise on that whole "I want kids" thing.

Cue massive, violet, fleshy tendril attempting to crash though one of the walls of Dave's bedroom, possibly obliterating it entirely! Bwahahahaha!

...

Watch out, Dave, that muscular, violet tendril is headed your way!

"Sorry! Sorry! Dave, I'm not going to flood your house with lava! I just need to get to a bigger heat source before I freeze to death!"

I think you might be overreacting, Clarissa. It isn't all that cold out.

Oh... Right... Magical spell... Heh...

"I know, I know," Harnel says, grinning, "I'll see you when I get back then, Cessie. Have a good time here." And with that, Harnel moves out of the room. He'll be gone, going back to inside in a matter of minutes, taking off from the aerie on the roof.

Cessie says her farewells before finally getting dressed. She was planning to explore the manor some more before getting started to a project she had intended for this household for quiet some time now.

Fettina's Suite

Evan won't hold them up, no, so they'll be on the couch doing makeouts. After a while of this, very gradually, Evan will attempt to draw the curtain. He's ready to stop at any moment though, in case Tina decides she doesn't want to.

Tina wouldn't even consider stopping him. Evan's done everything right, in her book - taking the initiative, taking it slow, being gentle. All of which the musician enjoys. The curtain is pulled, and if the noise levels from behind there are any indication, Tina has a very good time.

Speaking of noise, Evan may well note Tina's piano playing during all this. It's a room away, and seems to simply be playing on it's own, some ramshackle lovesick song that crosses every key. Before the curtain rises, it pounds out a rising finale, finishing on a resounding low note. Tina doesn't even seem to hear it.

Once it rises, Tina lies on her back and sighs, eyes closed, mouth open. Her breathing is only just starting to slow down. The couch is rather broad, so Evan should have plenty of room to shift as he pleases.
