Julie's Place - Stoop

She allows his arms to encircle her, turning slightly so she can nod into his shoulder, "It can wait. I think I'd rather be alone just now if that's alright with you both. There is still so much to do, but for now I'd rather just sleep for a while." She blinks her remaining tears away, promising herself they're the last ones she'll cry for a long while.

A laugh bubbles over her lips, turning into a sob halfway through, "And despite what you both must think of me, sleeping is something I'm capable of doing on my own."

"Alone or not, it's all good to me," Patty says, smiling a bit, before producing a small card from her pocket, and offering it to Julie. "If you need anything...or just want somebody to talk to...tear this card and I'll know, alright?"

Julie's Place - Stoop

Her little attempt at self deprecation only makes Justin try to hold on tighter. He unconciously starts rocking slightly, back and forth, something his older sister used to do for him when he cried. "For a telepath, you suck at guessing what people think of you." Justin was attracted to Julie by looks at first of course, that was how she approached him. When he found her out and the game started, she became an opponent, and one he really enjoyed playing with. To him, she was smart, sexy, tricky, and an amazing singer. Any moral shortcomings he might see in her are put to rest by his own, admittedly skewed, moral compass. He didn't believe the cyborg's words about her, and he respected her all the more for trying to stay so strong in the face of all that's happened.

All of this is going through his head in one way or another, and if she picks up on his "telepath" hint, she'll be able to see it too.

Being rocked is nice, as are the emotions she's feeling from him with her passive empathy. Even so, she isn't quite ready for what he seems to be proposing, and pulls back.

"Justin, you're great, and I'll enjoy working with you but lets keep this professional okay? I have a deserved reputation as a man-eater to uphold. You may be willing to risk your life and eternal soul for a very decent roll in the hay, I'm not quite so ready to give up a good friend and partner for a one night stand." She may be over-judging things, but she is talking to a man who's seen her mostly naked. Best to play things on the safe side.

She takes Patty's card, slipping it into her cleavage in an unconcious motion, "That goes double for you. I'm not even sure what I could do with a high priestess of a lust goddess. For all I know you could end up teaching me a few new tricks."

Julie extracts herself from Justin's grasp kneeling beside Ericka to stroke a hand over her jaw.

"I'm very glad to have met you both. If I ever need something, you'll be the first people I turn to. I want you to know that works both ways. I won't let any more people I care about suffer for my actions."

"Oh! Well, I'm kind of sorry, but I don't think it's my fault. I'm... embarrassed, but... unless I've begun sleepwalking..." She seems to seriously consider that as an option. "Evertime library is in the capitol city of Winderdale." A slight pause. "The kingdom of Cordalinta? I'm still in Cordalinta, aren't I?"

She seems to be worried about this, and after saying that she glances at her backpack.

No! I'm normal! I'm not a nymph! I'm in control over it, I've never done anything nymph-like, never. I'm not a nymph! Now Cessie start to toss and turn in her sleep, part of this was an all too common nightmare to her. To be a nymph, to lose control of your own impulses, to not be able to fit in.
I won't lose control again babalawo Ylva, I swear, I will never do that again, I'm so sorry, I will never lose control again. I swear by Artaris himself I won't ever do it again...

Cessie shakes her head, "I'm afraid I don't know any of those names miss. This is the Mithar Keep just outside the city of Inside, the nexus. Are any of those names familiar to you?" The mage replies, following Kirin's gaze.

Patty smiles at the compliment, chuckling softly. "Perhaps - but, like you, I'm more than just what people expect me to be."
She curtseys gracefully.
"And it's an honor to have met you as well - I just wish it had been under better circumstances. And I'll remember that. You have friends - don't ever forget that yourself."

"Good point." Kara smiles. "I'd love to move in with you!"

"Then it looks like I should probably put my clothes away again. Though admittedly, having everything we might need in both places could be a good idea, considering the fact that there was a zombie outbreak in the middle of the Zone a few days ago, and it wasn't even an uncommon thing."

"I know. Uncle Rodney's head would explode if he ever visited here." Kara giggles as she goes to get dressed. "He had enough trouble dealing with Clarke's Third Law back at home, to deal with actual magic? No way. But that probably is a good idea, just in case."

Julie's Place - Stoop

"What? Huh? Roll?" He's taken a bit back by the thought he might have suggested... that. Her boyfriend just died two minutes ago. "Actually, I'm... I'm honestly happy you used the word 'friend' first. Keeps me from seeming needy." When Julie leans over Female-Eric, he wants to ask if she's going to leave him like that, but bites his tongue.

"I dont have a magical business card," he says, standing up, "but let's try to keep in touch, alright? Poor communication kills. The pleasure has been all mine Miss Jolie."

[Talnissa's]

The robot also goes to get dressed, saying "Feel free to nab some of my clothes, if you think they'll fit and you want to."

"Why, thanks, dear."
Talnissa will get a peck on the cheek before Kara goes to look for a nice, comfortable, modest set of clothes.

[Lady Serpentine]

[Talnissa's]

"You're welcome, s'saeta," Talnissa says, smiling at her.

Kara should be able to find something suitable without too much difficulty.

After not too long, Kara finishes getting dressed.
And poses, smiling, for her girlfriend's approval...

Talnissa returns Kara's smile, and looks over her outfit.

"It looks good on you. Better than it did on me, in fact..."

The robot is wearing an ash-grey version of the coats worn by the Browncoats in Firefly, over a thin, long-sleeved shirt, which is a considerably darker shade, and jeans of the same color as her shirt.

"Well, I don't know how that is, because you look wonderful in anything...and that looks great on you."
Kara grins, and steps forwards to give her a peck on the cheek.

What defines control? You have no control over those who mock you. You can't force them to accept you. And that's what you yearn for most of all. Out of everything. For someone, somewhere to truly accept you. You all but given up hope, and then you met Mister Wayne. He was a truly loyal friend. The bat never judged you and never mocked you. He even let you cuddle him when he was in the mood. Indeed, it may very well have been the first friend you ever had. And for a little while, the laughter of everyone who would tear control away from you fades and there's some warmth to be found.

The sign fades into random bat cuddling for a short while.

The kitchen can be found two rooms down the hall, and then right, because I actually sort of have this place mapped out in my head.

In any case, the robot follows her.

Kara arrives at the kitchen. And, of course, heads straight for the fridge!

Which is quite fully stocked. Mostly with Cryxian food, though. A bit of Khadoran.

There is some normal Nexusian, of course, but it's buried pretty deeply.

"...wow. I don't think I recognise any of this stuff."
Kara giggles. But looks embarassed.

Talnissa smiles at her reassuringly.

"There's no need to be embarrassed, dear. It's all from the same place I am, so it's not surprising you don't know what it is."

"True...well, I'll ask what you reccomend, then," Kara says, smiling back, and straightening up. "Since you know it, and I don't."

"This," she says, pulling out what looks like a chitinous, clawed, octopus. "Is pretty good fried."

"So...it's like calimari?"
Kara looks a little dubious. But smiles gamely!

"Something like that, yeah.", the robot says, smiling back.

Julie smiles joylessly to them both and levitates Ericka's body from the ground, her hand never leaving the smaller girl's chin.

"It means more than you'll ever know to have you two make that offer. I'll try not to take advantage of you... too much. I probably won't be keeping this address much longer, but I'll be sure to leave a forwarding one with the manager. If you ever need a place to crash my couch is open."

She gives them a quick little wink as she begins her treck up the stairs.

Edijar may wish to hurry with whatever he has planned. Julie is moving slowly, and there are six flights in front of her, but eventually she'll make it to her apartment. He'll probably hear her coming before then due to his armor's abilities, though exactly how much warning this will give him is up to his player.

Edijar frowns at the news. "Mainframe, you and Michalson should get out of here then. Magtok might need you elsewhere. I'm going to make the place look like a robbery instead of a hit. If Julie survived, then she'll be headed back here. Probably quickly."

I am unable to create a telewarp portal until my connection to the MagNet is restored. I can go out the window and ascend to the roof, if Michalson can hold on to my chassis. However, this may leave us somewhat conspicuous Sure, people wander the rooftops of Inside all the time, but a robot climbing a building like spiderman, with a mage clinging to him, is bound to look odd.

With Boo captured the only way to dimension lock the apartment went with him. If Michalson ports them out there will be nothing to stop them.

The mirror, another thing Boo was sustaining, transmutes back to normal and shatters when the trap is closed, turning into thousands of tiny splinters that litter the floor.

"...no, but it seems kind of weird to call a city "Inside"." Kirin picks up her backpack and checks inside it, and after a moment puts it on. "Do you have any idea how I got here? I sure don't."
