In the kitchen, butler will find the little apple tree dryad, Terrie, baking some kind of stew.

Badly, as she's about to add a cellphone to the mix.

He may want to stop her before she poisons someone.

"Hello ma'am. What are you ma... are you putting telephones in that ma'am?!"
Who eats telephones?

[Halae]

[Kitchen]

"It had this weird tangy taste, so I wanted to put it in a see what happened!" Terrie says enthusiastically. the cellphone then plops into the stew, and she stirs a bit more. One can heard a few other things grinding along the bottom of the pot as well. That's not good.

[Kitchen]

"Errr... I'm not sure that's really healthy ma'am. Have you eaten that type of stuff before ma'am?" Butler asks, with a slight wince. Culinary disaster! GAH!

[Halae]

[kitchen]

"Yeah, I totally sort of did!" she bit them to see what they tasted like. For the most part, she just liked the tang of the metal.

[Reinholdt]

[Kitchen]

"Oh, I see ma'am. Well just don't let anyone else eat that stuff ma'am. It could make them sick ma'am." Butler explains. "Decker probably wouldn't mind though ma'am. But she usually prefers dirty socks ma'am."

[Halae]

[Kitchen]

"Ok, thankies Butler! Have a nice day!" *stir stir stir*

"Thank you ma'am." Of course, Butler fully intends to stay right there and make something delicious for HIM to eat.

Boris has headed over here, and he's leaning over one of the tables, looking over the targets. His AK-107 is next to him, but it's unloaded. He seems to be considering something.

"I see...I can hire some people to do the construction work fairly easily." DC considers their options for a moment before going on. "I could put up a notice about it in the main room asking for suggestions."

"Alright. That sounds good." I presume that means both of them.

"Will do, then. Anything else you need?" DC sounds a bit concerned for some reason. Guess that's what happens when you're both overprotective and can't even talk to the one you're overprotective of much due to deadtime.

Something has suddenly appeared out here. It's hard to pinpoint exactly when it appeared, but it certainly wasn't there moments ago. Specifically, it's a black-furred squirrel with red eyes and a malevolent manner. The just-teleported weresquirrel looks around curiously.

Anybody can stumble across it.

Boris has heard the music, but his reaction is a little non-standard. He's walking into the arena with a hand resting on one of his holstered pistols, intent on stopping that awful, awful music.

[Halae]

The sound of music wafts out of the arena like a gentle, sweetly scented lure.

As the music drifts about, a small set of emerald eyes peers into the arena from the door. the observant may notice, even blocked by the door as she is, that this is the apple tree dryad, Terrie.

she's curious what Boris is going to do. Those are weapons, right? Weapons are for killing people! music isn't that dangerous! Terrie would stop Boris, but frankly? She's afraid of him. Those scars on his face make extremely afraid to get close to the man, and so unless she's called out she won't get any further into the arena than the doorway.

The weresquirrel might find that a woman clad in full armor and with a longsword out is taking a fighting stance in his direction.
It is Katherine Wyrmhunter! Brought back from a long deadtime!
"Who are you!?"
He seems to have disturbed her a bit.

Regrettably, the weresquirrel is currently in the form of a squirrel and cannot reply. There's no sign of it being sentient, though the malicious gleam in its eyes certainly suggests it is of more than animal intelligence. It's a bit disoriented at the moment, so doesn't do anything except glare hatefully at Katherine.

As the mysteriously Teleporting weresquirrel didn't reply, Katherine sheathed her blade and sat back down where she was previously, on a blanket about to enjoy a nice picnic lunch...

...by herself...
She takes off her helm and places it beside her and removes her armor quickly and expertly.
"Well Mr. Mysteriously Teleporting Squirrel, since you don't seem to be sentient I apologize for drawing my sword against you. Things teleporting into places without notice is kinda alarming in this world."
She looks a bit sad about how there's so much food for just herself.
"...would you like join me Mr. Squirrel? I don't think many people like me that much anymore so I didn't invite anyone to come with me..."

The weresquirrel, the malevolent gleam still present in its eye, rushes up to Katherine and her picnic. It will then attempt to prove that nobody in the whole wide world loves her by trying to bite her.

If the bite is successful, it is possible that Katherine may contract lycanthropy. Becoming a weresquirrel is most likely, but other types of lycanthropy are possibly should her player prefer a werebear or something.

Katherine smiles as the squirrel runs over, she was actually thinking someone would be her friend here other then Harnel.
And then it bit her.
Unfortunately for the squirrel, Katherine is wearing tough leather gloves over chainmail over padding. She had only taken off her Wyrmhunter Plate Mail, she had been planning on taking off the chainmail and the padding underneath after the picnic was ready to eat.
And unfortunately for the squirrel again, Katherine goes to grab the creature with her other hand, which is moving quite fast.
"You son of a Blue Dragon! I'm gonna kick your furry little ass for that!"
But then her hand stopped, and she let out a small breath of air as she calmed down. Her experience with the necklace Sitch gave her had taught her to control her anger better.
"Mr. Squirrel, you're a jerk."

At some point after the conversation with KR, DC puts up a notice on the wall.

The base is due for an expansion due to dwindling free rooms and a lack of any remaining unclaimed lab facilities. We're looking for any suggestions as to what else to do in the process.

Existing ideas include:
-Moving the Infirmary to the 1st Floor

Try to keep your suggestions serious. Anyone suggesting 'hot tub', for example, will be volunteering for lab test duty for a week.

Why it's Harnel! I mean, sure he's been demonized and such and doesn't look quite the same as most people are used to, but it's definitely Harnel. He's certainly grown more handsome since his transformation and the air around just smells sweet, as Harnel clearly is. Obviously now that he's prettier, he can pull off a much better look. He has a stereo set up, playing tango music, and has a rose in his teeth, seemingly just waiting for the first appropriate dance partner.

He does take it out to talk though.
"Hello Boris. Interested in a dance?" Harnel gives a toothy, inviting grin.

"No. Turn off the stereo, or I will." Boris doesn't know Harnel very well at all, but he's observant enough as a sniper to know that something is off.

[Reinholdt]

[Arena]

"Why? It's not that loud."

It seems an unusual request, but if Boris absolutely insists, he'll press the pause button.

[Devixer]

[Arena]

"I could hear your music from my room. Loud enough for me to hate it." Boris keeps an eye on Harnel. He really didn't like this. He doesn't know much about demons, and demonizing, but last time he saw Harnel, he wasn't some flamenco dancer.

"I sincerely doubt that what with two floors in the way. But I'll turn it down."

[Suggestion Box]

'Firing range' gets dropped into the box.

"Good," Boris says as he moves his hand off of his pistol. He turns to leave, but then says, "What the hell happened to you, Harnel?"

[Reinholdt]

[Arena]

"I was infected while fighting some gnolls. Cessie is researching solutions. But... I don't want to put her or the others at home at risk right now, so I'm here." Might as well learn how to tango.

[Arena]

"Uh-huh." Boris turns back to leave, and will do so unless Harnel speaks to him again. He had thought of coming here to practice with his ballistic knife, but wasn't sure if he wanted to be in the same room as him.

Harnel will not stop him from leaving!

He does, however, turn the music back on, and lowers the volume somewhat. Then puts the rose back in his mouth and waits for a lovely lady interested in a tango to step through the door. Or man, if a guy particularly feels like tangoing.
