The squirrel is grabbed! And released. And unless Katherine's chainmail is either made of silver or magical, it would have difficulty harming the weresquirrel anyway.

After being let go, it tilts its head to one side and chitters malevolently, staring with its malicious red eyes.

She rifled through the picnic basket ad took out a bag of mixed nuts and removed a nice walnut from it.
"Walnut?"

The weresquirrel dashes over and will try to take the walnut from Katherine's fingers before dashing off again. It will sit a distance away to eat it. The weresquirrel doesn't quite seem quite so malevolent, however; it's decided that Katherine is a nice person.

At some point after the conversation with KR, DC puts up a notice on the wall.

At some point, one of Wenomir's myriad plotclones adds a suggestion:

We need a more extensive training facility. A shooting range, an obstacle course, maybe some simulators. An arena with some dummies isn't quite cutting it.

The weresquirrel dashes over and will try to take the walnut from Katherine's fingers before dashing off again. It will sit a distance away to eat it. The weresquirrel doesn't quite seem quite so malevolent, however; it's decided that Katherine is a nice person.

Katherine smiles as the squirrel takes the walnut.
She proceeds to take out the rest of the picnic lunch, which consisted of two delicious looking subs(each a foot long. Provolone Cheese, Ham, Tomatoes, Black Olives, Pickles, Turkey, a dash of salt and pepper, and a nice amount of olive oil and ranch dressing on whole wheat sub rolls) that are wrapped in that weird paper they use at Subway, a cake in a plastic container(though it isn't store bought), a 2-liter container of fine water with a pH balance of around 7, two paper plates, two forks, a knife, 2 cups, and some napkins.
She was expecting someone would see her bring it out and ask to tag along, but alas, no one did.
And so she took off her gloves, removed the chainmail, took off the padding, and revealed her under outfit, a tunic that has been made soft from usage and pants that were roughly cut, both of which are obviously of fine make, along with leather shoes and a pair of leather gloves.
She places the bag of assorted nuts(cashews, acorns, walnuts, and almonds) facing towards the weresquirrel, leaving it open so it may take some more nuts.
She then begins eating one of the subs with gusto.

Harnel will not stop him from leaving!

He does, however, turn the music back on, and lowers the volume somewhat. Then puts the rose back in his mouth and waits for a lovely lady interested in a tango to step through the door. Or man, if a guy particularly feels like tangoing.

having watched the conversation between Boris and Harnel, Terrie steps into the arena, curious about the dancing and the music. She's never seen this sort of action before! All that movement and stuff.

As long as harnel doesn't notice her, she'll move into the room and try to mimic his movements, but will get sheepish and freeze if he spots her.

Harnel dances for a little while before noting a little girl.
"Why hello there. Care to dance with me?" He offers, holding out his hand.

Oh crap, she's been spotted!

Terrie shuffles awkwardly for a moment, looking at the floor in embarrassment. She very much looks like a five year old now, wanting to mimic the adults but being all awkward about it.

but Harnel was a nice guy, right? all the Watchmen were, with varying levels of grumpy. And he was kinda handsome too. can't be a bad person if he's handsome, after all.

After a moment, she says, "... okay."

If Terrie takes his hand, she'll probably be swept up in the dance of her lifetime. Considering her age, this is not surprising. All the same, it's exciting, it's heartpounding, it's tango. Harnel is pretty good at it, it seems.

But all good dances have their ends and even this one comes to it's conclusion. When it's done, Harnel will go to gently kiss Terrie's hand. "You are an incredible dancer my dear lady. You'll become a fine woman some day."

Terrie giggles and blushes at the praise as her hand is kissed. She's panting heavily from the exertion of the dancing, "I'll be the best woman! just you watch!"

[Reinholdt]

[Arena]

"I'll be waiting with earnest. Maybe someday you can even teach me some tango moves I haven't learned yet." Harnel gives Terrie a toothy grin.

[Halae]

[Arena]

Terrie grins. That sounds awesome! And of course, it's time to draw on something she read in the library. Something from a story, "And you can teach me how to dance all the time! I'd love to learn. Then the knight can have a proper dance with a princess."

Uh oh. What has she gotten into her head?

[Reinholdt]

[Arena]

Harnel lets out a hearty, good-natured laugh.

"Alright then. Tell you what princess. If you'll be willing to make me some of those delicious apple pies of yours, I will teach you how to dance. Fair?"

[Halae]

[Arena]

Terrie grins, "Yeah! Ok, you'll get some apple pies as soon as I can get them! Like, really really soon! then you'll have to teach me to dance!" she practically bouncing with excitement.

[Reinholdt]

[Arena]

"I can't wait. Meet you here a little later then?" Harnel asks.

[Halae]

[Arena]

Terrie nods vigorously, then scampers off, likely heading towards the kitchen. She's got apple pie to make!

[Reinholdt]

[Arena -> Barracks]

Harnel sees her off, before taking the music player and going to his room.

The weresquirrel moves closer to the nuts. Ooh, yummy.

Katherine has been relegated as a Very Good Person, so the weresquirrel won't try to bite. At least, not until after the nuts have run out.

If Katherine knew that she would have brought a bigger bag of mixed nuts. The one the squirrel is eating from is only a medium sized bag, stuffed to the brim because Katherine loves maximizing for space.
Also, Katherine seems to have eaten that foot long sub in record timing!
She has got a mean appetite on her!
Such a big appetite that she also devours the second sub and begins on the cake, cutting herself a piece while pouring straight from the 2 liter water container ever so often to top off her drink.

The weresquirrel eats the nuts eagerly, though not quite as quickly as Katherine eats her part of the picnic.

How large is the bag in relation to the weresquirrel?

Well if the weresquirrel is as big as a regular squirrel then the bag is a little bit bigger than it.
Katherine eats a piece of the delicious cake but no more.
A girl needs to watch her figure after all.

The black squirrel is a European red squirrel, noticably smaller than the grey squirrel of America. It just has black fur and gleaming red eyes.

Katherine needn't worry about the weresquirrel biting; it'll eat from the bag of nuts until it is full and then it's far too full to move. Clearly, its eyes are bigger than its belly.

Katherine herself has gotten to full to move much herself.
Which is why she leans back against the nice shady oak nearby after putting back on her armor and begins to nod off.

The black-furred weresquirrel, full after the nuts, will head over to where Katherine lies dozing and curl up nearby and fall asleep.

The squirrel might notice that Katherine's armor exudes very cool air, which is nice since it's most likely hot out.
Finally, Katherine falls asleep, taking a nap for 3 hours.

The weresquirrel will try to snuggle underneath Katherine's hand.

In about an hour and a half Katherine might wake up if the weresquirrel is successful in getting beneath Katherine's hand. This is because in about an hour and a half the weresquirrel is no longer a squirrel. Instead, it's a nude man with buck teeth, black hair and red eyes.

This might be awkward.

Katherine does awake when she feels a naked man underneath her hand.
She swiftly jumps up, unsheathing her sword.
"P-P-PERVERT!"

"AAAH! Please, don't hurt me! I don't know how I got here! Oh, Hermes, it's happened again." The man is confused and puts his hands up, trying to back away out of the reach of Katherine's sword. I don't think he realises yet that he's not wearing anything.

"I don't care how you got here either, what I do care about is that you put my hand on your naked body!"
She seems shaken by that, as she has never lain with a man.

"What? No I didn't! I went to bed last night and I had no trouble sleeping and when I woke up I was lying nude in a forest with some armour-clad Amazon swinging a sword at me! This happened last month, too, but without you. Or anybody else, for that matter!" The man cannot remember his time as a squirrel. Katherine, however, may remember the squirrel curling itself up under her hand before she went to sleep.
