Nothing definite, but it looks like it'll be about $30 for a day pass and somewhere above ~$50 for the weekend (the others cost about $50, but Brisbane's over 3 days so it'll be more, but it doesn't specify how much more).

I haven't had a proper pavlova since I was in primary school, so when I was like 7 or 8.. If not younger... Goddamnit, I remember it being yummy.

Also, thats the episode where the New Zealand guest identified the Australian pavlova as the best in a blind test.

Someone in the audience has records of the recipe his great-grandfather made. It *was* published about a month after a recipe called a "meringue cake" in New Zealand, but it is different to the New Zealand recipe and made without knowledge of it.

That sounds about right. Girlfriend and I got 3 day passes, as did many friends we know. All sold out now though D: Still plenty of friday and sunday passes left though I believe.

I'm flat-out for the next couple of days then I go south almost to New Years. I would LOVE to get together for another minimeet some time after that, though. Definitely one when Rawhide's in town again, but maybe something else in the meantime? As a very tentative proposal, Kerbside in the Valley has cheap drinks (5.50 for beer or Bulmers) every Sunday; my housemate has a Reddit meetup there every week, and once there was a Twitter one on at the same time. Crashing it with my forum would be fun! :smallgrin:
Otherwise, I'm sure we can think of something. Swimming at South Bank? Picnic in Roma Street Park?

The next couple of days is out for me as well as I've got a nasty cold and sore throat. However, I should be available for almost New Years, I just need to check to see when we're getting back from Proston.

He's one of those people who, if he's at the beach, stays on the sand to build sandcastles. Anyone attempts to get him in the water, he kills them.

But I would most likely be interested in going as well, depending on when it is. All I know is Christmas Day I'm busy (as everyone else would be), no idea of anything else as I don't have much family I visit on the holidays.
