Part of Jakus is really glad Trix is sitting there on her lap. another part is so incredible awkward he just wants the situation to end, but he knows he can't make this decision for her, "Something to help you with your jobs at NO?"

She bites her lip.

"I don't really know if I want, uh, um, workstuff. Too much, uh, stuff. For work." she sputters, "But, um, I don't really need anything, so, uh, uuuuhhh."

She squirms awkwardly, really not sure what in the world to ask for to make this go by quickly. She doesn't really want anything, and she certainly doesn't need anything.

"Um, um... maybe just, uh, something nice. That I can use. I don't, um..."

This is a veritable smorgasbord of awkwardness.

[Lord Magtok]

"Oh. Hi Magtok," Missy says. "It's, er, nice to see you." And there's definitely something off about her. The social awkwardness is exactly the same as before, but now it isn't contrasted by any physical poise. She's moving somewhat clumsily in the snow, in fact, and almost loses her balance on an icy patch. "Happy Thanksmas?"

If Magtok hasn't a clue as to why Missy might be moving about so clumsily. I'm certainly not giving him any hints, either. He does his best to ignore it, but holds out a wimpy, noodly noodle-arm anyway, on the off-chance she might want the assistance.

"Happy Thanksmas to you, too."

If she doesn't notice the arm right away, it'll fall right back to his side in an instant. Silly tin man, she's a big, scary, independent army girl! She doesn't need your help!

"S'nice to have the apocalypse over and done with before Thanksmas this time around, huh?"

Last year's Thanksmas was an absolute bloodbath for Inside. The year before that was pretty damn horrendous, too. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Thanksmas began as less of a big party, and more of a simple acknowledgement of simply being alive and outlasting whatever horrible invasion or monster or plagues managed to kill everyone else.

Jakus continues trying to resist looking down her shirt, and fails a little, though not openly. This, however, makes something occur to him

"I have a wonderful idea" He reaches into the bag... and pulls out a wooden chest. He's strong enough that it doesn't seem to weigh much to him, and he opens the lid to reveal a whole stack of clothes. pretty much all clothes from all over the nexus, including different timelines, cultures, worlds, everything. Most of them are quite well made, and well designed specifically to fit Trix's body.

Walking in a Winter Wonderland (i.e. the random place that isn't the Santa spot and isn't the food and cocoa booths)

Missy takes Magtok's arm, a bit hesitantly, and doesn't actually use it to support herself. But her hand is resting there now. "Yeah, it is. I guess the zombies didn't get to the casino then?"

Trix looks into the chest, quite honestly a little amazed by what's inside. She likes clothes. She likes a lot of normal things, actually, but she'd never ask for them.

She looks up at him.

"I can have this?" she seems genuinely disbelieving. People don't really do nice things for her much, so the holiday season tends to illicit that sort of response when they actually do.

After a few seconds, Iamar decides that she does like the cupcake. "It is good. May I ask who made it? I'd like to thank them."

[Halae]

"It's yours to keep," Jakus says, "Everything in the trunk, as well as the trunk itself, is yours. Gifts are what Thanksmas is all about; well, more the feelings about giving gifts to each other, but you get my point."

"I'll carry it back for you. It's not exactly light for someone your size."

Trix shakes her head.

"N-no, you shouldn't have to, um... carry it. I can, uh... I have ways to do that." given that she can fit people-sized things into her hat, a big chest should be fine. Maybe need some help pushing it in, though.

She hops off his lap, taking her hat off. Her hair goes a little bit crazy without her hat on.

"Just um... maybe help me, uh, get it in to this." she says, holding her hat open. Might look a little nonsensical, really, "It should probably fit but, um, you might need to be careful."

She just sort of waits there, holding her hat open like that's not weird.

Jakus nods, and stands to help her fit the trunk into the pocket dimension of her hat. Once that's done, he says, "do you want to go home? If you're a bit lost I can show you the way to get there."

He absolutely does his best not to snerk at what she said there. The accidental innuendos are just made more hilarious for her innocence in not noticing them.

She doesn't realise at all that she said anything weird, of course! Why would it be weird? She was just talking about her hat.

Not a lot of people actually know it's a pocket-dimension, but she doesn't feel too worried about Jakus knowing. She trusts him, which is largely why she gets so embarrassed around him. She places the hat back onto her head.

"I'd be really, uh, glad to be able to get home. I don't even know how I got here."

"Some of the snow drifts are pretty deep if we wanna go the direction I came from. I could carry you over them if you like." he says, pointing in a given direction. For the sake of her sanity, let's say it's in a different direction than one she tried

"It's the most direct route, but we could go another way if you don't want to."

Trix shrugs. If he's okay with it, and it gets her away from any staring NPCs and back into the warmth of NO, she's happy. The half-demon looks up at him, tilting her head.

"If you want to go that way, it's okay, I just want to, um, get back to NO, at least so I can figure out where I am again. Uh."

She looks around awkwardly, holding onto her arms. She's starting to shiver in the cold a bit, largely due to the bare legs on her costume and stuff.

Jakus smiles and rakes off his vest, proceeding to drape it over Trix's Shoulders, and leaving his upper body almost naked, except for gloves. On her it'll essentially be like a massive, sleeveless longcoat which buttons up along the front.

After that, Jakus will reach a hand around her waist to pick her up, and pass her back around onto his back. He'll then start walking on all-fours back towards NO, not minding the cold, as ogres from his homeworld are cold weather creatures, leaving him inured. if he wasn't he would have worn something heavier.

Trix, wrapped up in Jakus' vest, clings to him on his back with her arms around his big, beefy neck. It shouldn't approach anywhere near a stranglehold, given his toughness and her... lack of toughness.

She just kind of lays down on his back like that as they make their way back to NO. It's a little embarrassing to cling like this in public, but not a lot of people are paying attention anyways, and she feels safe like this.

She's kinda adorable back there, but he unfortunately can't see it.

Karyana smiles at her.

"Thanks! Where were the others?"

"Normal places." Ilpholin says with a shrug, while glancing over at the empty Santa chair. Dang it, she doesn't want to be Santa again this year, she wants to pester a sexy Santa for a specific present!

After a few seconds, Iamar decides that she does like the cupcake. "It is good. May I ask who made it? I'd like to thank them."

"Master Dahl made the cupcakes," Elias says. "Unfortunately he's an npc that my player doesn't feel like playing. He's quite busy, but I can take a message to him"


Somewhere Else

After a while of being followed about, Tor spins and glares at the snow angel.

"What do you want?"

The snow angel doesn't answer.

Natalie's here! She's rather distressed that Santa ran off with a half-demon as there isn't a replacement yet. She's first in the queue for the next one, though. Unless he pops up after she deadtimes, anyway, then it'll be somebody else's turn first.

Junior Claus, having delivered all his cocoa to spoiled little brat NPCs, will take to the santa seat since no one else seems to want it.

He gives Natalie a toothy grin behind his obviously fake Santa beard and motions her to come sit on his lap.

"Hey ther lass. Ave yeh been a good girl all this year?" Thanksmas magic makes Junior's normally impenetrable accent a bit more understantable, and will even go so far as to provide horribly lip-synced overdubs if it proves necessary.

"Yes, Santa sir!" The eleven-year-old girl quickly climbs into Santa's lap. "At least, I think I have. I've done all my homework on time, and I haven't got into fights, and I've paid attention in class, and I've been kind to my friends, associates, acquantainces and classmates, but not my enemies as they're nasty poo-bahs. Oh, but there was that time I accidently worried Saera with an ill-timed query about if angels fall when they're being forced to commit evil acts by summoners, and I scared Daddy when I took my monkey-shape without telling him I had unlocked my latent shapeshifting first, and I worried the gardener by climbing a tree as a monkey and turning back and pretending to be stuck, only to climb back down as a monkey when he ran off to fetch a ladder. But those last two were just cries for attention and the first was an accident, so shouldn't count." Well, at least she's honest?

Junior just smiles and attempts to ruffle the honest little girl's hair, "Tha's aright girly. I'm shar yeh tried yer hardest tah be good. Now why dontcha tell ole Santy Claus whatcher wishin for fer Thanksmas?" Junior resists the urge to just hand out a lump of coal and get this over with. Knowing his luck Natalie would turn into an ape and stuff him into Santa's sack.

Fortunately for Junior, Natalie only has two forms- human and black spider-monkey, which is smaller than she is. Which is lucky, as her clothing doesn't make the transition to monkey-shape.

"I want a beginner's magic book." That's not a nice thing to ask for, as her father doesn't want Natalie to learn magic, despite the fact that Natalie really wants to.

"Normal places." Ilpholin says with a shrug, while glancing over at the empty Santa chair. Dang it, she doesn't want to be Santa again this year, she wants to pester a sexy Santa for a specific present!

"Alright."

She pauses for a moment, also looking over at the Santa chair. Which, unfortunately, is now occupied by Junior Claus and Natalie, making her present be delayed yet further. Not that she's actually tried to get it yet.


"Oh, by the way, I'd invite you, but I don't think that the other guests would react well... Sorry."


The vampire sounds genuinely apologetic, interestingly enough. While she didn't want Ilpholin to see her earlier, she actually rather likes the drowess.

"Oh? Why is that?" Ilpholin says with a frown, glancing down at herself.

"I don't normally just wear ribbons..."

Junior taps his nose and gives her a wink before plunging his hand into the sack, coming out with what looks to be a thin pamphlet entitled "A Million-and-one things to do with magic, a magician's guide to becoming a mage." He'll hand it over to her quick as a whip.

Inside she'll find an endless number of pages, all seemingly devoted to using sleight-of-hand and misdirection to confuse and amaze an audience. If she looks closely though, there are genuine incantations hidden in the passages, most of them designed to replicate with magic what a magician does with parlor tricks. There's nothing too dangerous, although when she gets to the back there is a fairly complex one that summons a tame siberian tiger.

Junior gives her another another gentle pat on the head and tries to lift Natalie off his knee. It's high time he gave someone else a turn at being Santa, and gotten himself a drink to celebrate putting up with all this.

"Happy Thanksmas lil' lassee."

"Thank you!" Before she's lifted off his lap, she tries to give him a quick hug. She willingly leaves his lap afterwards, and skips off.

"HALO, huh? I've only vaguely heard of it. Isn't that some underwater anti-fish pollution slash evil group or something?" Ilpholin inquires.

"Something like that, yes. More empahasis on the anti-evil bit, though. And since you're from AMEN, well... I'm sure you can see why it could cause trouble."
