I'd be up for a Alchemical game as well.

Personally, Alchies are easily my favorite splat, so I'm always interested in Alchie games. Problem is I'm a bit ticked off at having spent my three favorite mental Alchie concepts on three games that died within five pages, and I'm so renuent to reusing concepts .

I've been thinking of an Alchemical campaign, but I don't think I'm up to running more than one Exalted game, but if you need another player/application, I've never been in an Alchemicals game that got off the ground.

Just to call attention to it (I just found out myself), there's an Exalted sale over on DriveThruRPG. 1e and 2e pdf books are half price. The offer expires in about 11 hours, so there's not much time if you want anything.

Personally, I'm grabbing some 1e stuff. Aspect books, Savage Seas, Creatures of the Wyld and maybe Houses of the Bull God.

Eh, it's more minmaxing in D&D. Homebrew flaw for a bonus feat.

There was a joke somewhere about how in D&D, the most powerful people are short, fat, introverted, middle-aged wizards.

So, just curious, how often do you use gods in your games? Despite the fact that they're absolutely everywhere, I rarely actually make use of them unless the book for the area the PCs are in directly mentions said gods.

Really, I should probably do more stuff with them.

Gods generally show up pretty infrequently in my game. The players have only really ever had contact with one, the god of honest gangsters. He had the Dawn and the Moonsilver out killing other gods to destabilize the Scavenger Lands during a three year timeskip (they were being paid in artifacts and thought it was for the greater good). He neglected to mention that the Fiend NPC who had been hounding them was his daughter and that he was helping out with her world domination scheme.

The Guild employs a multitude of Lesser Ramen Gods to produce their Guild-Brand Trail Rations for the adventuring party or mercenary legion on-the-go. These tin-wrapped dried noodles come with a packet of thaumaturgical chicken flavoring; just boil a pot of water over your campfire and insert contents to produce a hearty meal in minutes.

Ever since the Ramen Gods struck their deal with the Guild, the quality of ramen stands in Yu-Shan has sharply declined. It is only a matter of time before Al'Pastafar, God of Noodle-Based Foods, turns his starchy appendages towards Creation. Given his powerful and far-reaching domain, surely only the newly returned Solars stand a chance at quelling his wrath.

    (God antagonists are the best.)

    The Emerald Quiver

Some feats of heroism and derring-do are only open to the Raksha, for who else could so consistently display their excellence for all to witness? Thus it is for the bearers of the Quiver. Burdened by the knowledge of the inherent superiority granted by gossamer wealth, they seek to redeem themselves with brilliant acrobatics and the infliction of retribution upon criminals.

Those who are most familiar with the Quiver's quirks know that there are two crimes that must be punished above all, and so seek to punish all who would form leagues against justice, as well as any who dares try to tame the superb and superior wild jay, and force that noble bird to walk! In order to gain the powers of the Quiver, its owner must attend an extremely tiresome meeting every season, and there be bored for a scene while mortals ramble about their ever increasing fortunes.

    1-dot Oneiromancy
Assumption of Dreams and Passion - the Quiver is unspeakably green.
Imposition of Law - the Quiver's owner simply cannot miss a shot with a bow.
Imposition of Law - nor can he fail to perform acrobatics while pursuing justice (or capitalist pigs, whatever they are - many of the Quiver's past owners have given numerous porkers and watchmen to their enemies, just in case).
Ordinary Object Conjuration - a Quiver without a bow is meaningless, so the Quiver's owner always has a perfect bow on hand.
Ordinary Object Conjuration - the Quiver always contains a viciously green suit of clothing which perfectly fits its owner.
Mad God Mien - even Adamant Countermagic will not dispel the green.

1-dot Adjuration: "While justice is leagued on my side, I shall never fail."
Luminous Exhalation - anyone swearing this oath simply cannot run out of ammunition.

    1-dot Oneiromancy
Assumption of Wood form - the arrows within the Quiver are made of wood. Really.
Waypoint Knife - by declaring "Capture Arrow!" to the winds, the user of the Quiver's arrows may fire a bolt that expands into a web of dreamstuff, preventing those near its impact point from escaping. Abusing this effect may anger the arachnid gods, causing spider-men to spontaneously appear and try to steal the arrows.
Emotion-Weaving Style - When fired after their owner yells out "Repent and reform, feckless youngsters!", the arrow imbued with this power alters the Motivations of any criminal mortals close to its point of impact, so that their goal in life becomes to make right all their crimes and create a socialist utopia. Barring encouragement from beyond the Seal of Eight Divinities, the effect tends to fade after a season or so.
Prince and Pauper Approach - the Quiver's owner can also fire in the general direction of an unjust leader, shouting "You are betrayed!", and instantly convince all underlings nearby that their boss has, in fact, decided to betray them. Scholars still argue as to whether this power actually exists, as it seems to work even when not used.

A point worth noting is that the Quiver's arrows are not immune to counter-magic, as they are purely mundane devices and therefore useless against anyone with any kind of real power.

    Waking the Elder Powers

Upon discovering that the Primordials were gone from Creation, and that the Unconquered Sun was busy playing the Games of Divinity, most Raksha rejoiced. Some, however, were filled with unspeakable sorrow as they would no longer have the opportunity to try themselves against an invincible foe.

So after a good micro-second of contemplation, the oath of Waking was formed, intent on one goal and one alone - to drive the Unconquered Sun out of Yu Shan and into Creation, that the Fair Folk might once again partake of the joys of crushing defeat.

2-dot Adjuration: "On Calibration, my prayers to the Unconquered Sun shall not cease until they are heard beyond Creation itself."
Imposition of Law - anyone who has committed to the Waking cannot fail to draw the favorable attention of the gods - any god - whenever she prays. Even without an offering. Even after committing terrible blasphemies.

All for the greater purpose of forcing the Sun to focus on Creation one Calibration soon to come, as the gods taking care of His prayers fall to a massive DDoS attack, as does the Sun's attention itself.

Considering the Immaculate Dragon Styles were invented by Sidereals during the Shogunate era (and possibly before that) to allow Dragon-Blooded to deal with spirits, I'd assume that they do, yes.

Well, I suppose if you start the game with some XP, and don't want to bother with all that "learning", "philosophy", "responsibility", or "training times", you could just leave it unspent until you run into that Infernal you bought as an Ally, and have them Gift you enlightenment and some Celestial Martial Arts real quick.

    Yes, yes you can.

And since there are charms and Freehold powers that let you move waypoints and manipulate their connections, you can do far, far worse.

You can create a Freehold with waypoints that connect only to each other, said waypoints being in Yu Shan, Malfeas, and the Void.

You can create waypoints that are inside themselves. Throw in Soul Carving Artifice, and you can create waypoints that are before themselves, probably.

You can create an Unshaped that is Mount Meru and Deep Chaos simultaneously.

Without any of the above, you can make a mockery of Shaping combat, since you can play stay away from your foe indefinitely, while firing at them via Ring and remaining safe from retaliation. But then Shaping combat is a mockery anyway.

Drascin is going to be... well, probably unsurprised.
I point out that Oneiromancy is slightly easier to stop (for Exalted) than Astrology. Sort of. More shaping defenses are applicable to it, anyway.

You could probably model wider destinies using bigger Range Assumptions, and Resplendent Destinies using refluffed Elemental Transformation on an Inward-Facing Dream.

as for shaping defenses *shrug* if its only slightly easier to stop, then what the Malfeas. I'll gladly make Sidereal Astrology Oneiromancies if it means they will be playable.

also here is a bad idea: making 3-dot+ artifacts to cast certain sorcery spells.
I want to make those, but something keeps telling me that is a bad idea….
