But somehow I don't think he did "nothing" as what he said. Something obviously happened to Wendy.

Then again, it would be funny he really did nothing because Wendy passed out from fright all by herself rather than anything Casper did.

Lastly: "Fights between sophers..." Is that whole groups of floating 2~3 different element types per sopher right there?

Seems like working miracles with 3 elements (or more) and a whole deck of cards is common amongst higher leveled sophers... and that the goons we met in chapter 1 who got offed are the equivalent of country hicks (recap: "3 of a kind?!?? IMPOSSIBURUUUU!!")...
No it's 2 sophers, one with two shown elements and one with one shown element, with vastly different styles, which is an amazing bit of work on it's own (the stances of both sophers and the way they hold they're cards are very different).

Doing well with the buffer so far, but 30 spare pages is still a ways away.

    Typo: 'plebian' should be 'plebeian'.

Psychosophy predictors turn out to be right, which I confess was against my expectations, though on reflection I didn't have a good reason for disagreeing.

Yeah, "Alive" doesn't mean unharmed. Casper is Savvy as hell, and is almost Joker scale: his victory isn't beating Nomen, it's getting Nomen to kill.

They may both be in the dictionary, but only one sees common usage. Meh, it's not a big thing.

EDIT: One other random thing? It might have been good to put the repeat "Wendy!" into the last panel. Dunno if that fits or not, just something that came to mind.

Oooh, I actually like that idea. Maybe I'll go back and change it later. I do have a history of pulling a George Lucas.

    Anyway, new page up.

He really is the best kind of villain, one who actually understands the hero. Evil not only comprehends good, but is capable of putting good's moral's at odds with it's goals.

Actually, considering that he stutters and stuff, that kind of fits perfectly.

Kind of to stop me, you must loss everything you hold as a moral truth.
I'm just amazed that Casper got into Nomen's head so quickly, with, what two-three days not including the break out, hes already been able to show Nomen that he both understands him, and uses that understanding to stop him before the fight, truly a villain of amazing standers. Props to El for this amazing character.

The Joker to our stuttering batman.

    Massive apologies, gentlemen.

I took a trip last week, thinking that there would be internet at my destination. Turns out that wasn't the case, and I ended up going the entire week without a way to upload new comics. As an apology, here are three pages going up all at once.

Also, turns out I caught a massive cold in Mexico, so the buffer work is going slow again...

Ugh... One of these days I'll become a reliable webcomic author!

I'd say "called it", but it's terribly depressing. Wendy's alive, but it doesn't look like she'll be whole for a while.

Though, I'm guessing she'll stutter now.

No worries, once you have a solid buffer things will be a little easier to organise. One thing I've seen often in use is an automated update script - maybe Mangamagazine has such a tool available?

Do not worry, illness and lack of internet access happens. You are very reliable as is. ^_^

And poor Wendy. You really have made a terrifying villain of Casper, I just hope Nomen is up to the task. ._.

    And get well soon!

I do believe that there will be something that has transferred form Wendy to Nomen or vice verses, be it being hungry all the time, or the curious nature Wendy had about her.

Also there's the fact of what does the miracle do to the Sopher who is creating it, seems to be lost on me, because with the big miracle Nomen was going to do to help heal Wendy, and the very easy going picture Wendy is painting, leads me to believe that Nomen's going to be passed out on the table or, missing some sort of limb.

The headband emotes now too? I.. actually think that might be a little bit of overkill combined with the flame-sprite and how close the headband's face is to Nomen's; mirroring the expressions right above his face just sorta makes it look like he has two faces.

Wendy must be quite confused by this point, I hope everybody will soon get an explanation for what exactly happened. Nomen might need a nap first, though. ^_^

@tyckspoon: The flame appears to be perpetually smiling, so the headband is the only thing mimicking Nomen's face. Further confirmation of the evil-clothing conspiracy theory! X3

It's done that a few times now. Just not to the extreme seen here.
