Tel-Zaff Kax nearly trips when Feia replies, but regains his balance and turns sharply to face her. "What are you talking about, witch?" He snarls, pressing as close to the barrier as he can. The orc glares at her, black murderous hate bright in steel-grey eyes. Despite all he had just went through, it's clear that if it weren't for the spell he would be trying to kill her all over again. "Explain yourself! What have you done to me?!"

Instead of answering Kax, Feia kneels down to pick up a little pebble off the ground.
She eyes her circle for a moment as she stands up, then carefully tosses the rock as if she were trying to skip it.

Just enough to ruin a few of the glyphs she had etched.
The orc will feel it, the immediate dissipation of the magic around him.

No more wall.

The sorceress looks back to Kax, eyebrow raised and expression expectant.

It's a trap. Tel-Zaff Kax has spent enough time adventuring to know how to smell a trap a mile away, and even some Mages' College elf from their ivory towers could tell this one.

The orc's hands curl up into tight fists. It's hard to fight back the urge for violence. He's shaking with it, if only a little. Examining Feia, he looks her up and down. It was almost hard to believe he had lost against her. "What happens if I attack you, witch?" Tel-Zaff Kax asks. "Clearly it won't kill me. If you wanted me dead you would have left me to die. And I'm clearly not a threat to you, otherwise you wouldn't be exposing yourself to me like this." He pauses, and a thought clicks. "I can't hurt you, can I?" There's a note of defiance in his voice: This isn't a limitation. It's a challenge.

Feia smiles.
Yes...she was pleased with this choice. Kax was far more intelligent than the usual fair. Observation is a beautiful skill to possess.

"You cannot, or your body will rebel.
Similarly, you will obey my commands."
She doesn't sound smug or condescending with any of this, merely stating simple facts.
Cool confidence, more than anything else.

Despite the fact that he had expected the answer, Tel-Zaff Kax isn't very pleased with it. And it doesn't do anything to quell the desire to punch Feia's smug, soft little face in. To keep himself in check, the orc imagines just what that would be like. The satisfying crack of cartilage and bone, her gasp of pain as shards of her shattered face plunge into her brain. He replays the image in his head several times, taking some small measure of comfort in it.

"What is it, then?" He growls. "You killed me. Why bring me back?"

Feia remains quiet during all this fantasizing, proceeding to examine her fingernails again with a little grin.
Coincidence? Maybe!
Probably not.

"You are a very intelligent, capable individual, unlike your friend.
I suspect that you would be of great service to me, with proper direction.
Take this...as a compliment, to your mind. It is what convinced me."

"So I'm you're slave, then." Tel-Zaff Kax's stomach clenches and a sudden chill takes him. A slave to a witch. And not just any witch, a witch who had turned his best friend, the man Tel-Zaff Kax was sworn to defend, into so much fine red paste. And it was supposed to be a complement. His fists begin to shake again as the orc is filled with impotent rage.

"An unpleasant term for the arrangement, if you behave."
Which can be seen as either a hope-giving statement, or a threat.
Either would be correct.

Feia gestures off in an entirely different direction, towards the city of Inside in the distance.
"You will be constrained to this realm, for now. There is a city, which I believe you would fit well in."

Melody curtsy's to them. I'll be right back. and she turns to head out the barn.

She shifts her arms to wings, and flies to find Momma. Momma, what's rum? And do we have any?

Melody's Island - the Cabin

"Rum is fermented sugar cane. We don't have any. There's some wine, or I have this." Happy digs around on one of the high shelves and takes out a small bottle of Jack Daniels - the one that's the size of a flask. It's been opened, but not much used. Happy only has a shot or two on occasion. She also gets out a bottle of red wine, completely ignorant that fish is supposed to be served with white wine, and gives both to Melody. "Enjoy your dinner." she says, and gives a smile, which is completely genuine even though she hates Reinholdt being anywhere near Melody. It's one of those maternal superpower things!

Arel is brought here, looking around in confusion.

Here being a small cave, in the side of a massive pitch black canyon, sparkling in the light of the last star before dawn; at the moment, it appears much like the star-filled depths of space, with only the blue-lit sky that can be faintly seen over its lip, and the air around them, to differentiate the two.

She stares in amazement, barely comprehending everything.

"A chasm that catches light, and bounces it about. Very pretty, as you can see. And deeper in, there are other interesting anomalies, but I thought that this was a good start."

"There are a series of lenses set up to direct light into it. Once it's in, the crystalline structure of the walls, and especially the flaws in it, causes the light to refract everywhere."

Reinholdt waits, still finding this whole thing very awkward.

"They went through a lot of trouble for this huh?"

He idly asks Ermine. It was... quite nice of them really.

Rael settles down next to Arel, and will let her think it through for as long as she needs, within reason.

"Forests, lakes, ancient ruins, hidden cities... Outside has a lot."

"That depends on which one you go to. But I can show some examples to you, if you like."
