Kin uses big words and complex sentence structures, not terms that appeared on forums to be able to tell different characters apart in text. If she started calling the psychic Minmax PsiMax, don't you think that would raise eyebrows?

Yes but Forgath was shouting "MINMAX!" as well, had she simply said the same thing Forgath had said Forgath would likely have just assumed she was also concerned about their Minmax.

And rounds/actions dont really apply in the goblinverse from a comic point of veiw.

You do realize that they're looking in opposite directions, right? Forgath is yelling to Minmax to be careful, while Kin is yelling at Forgath that Alt Minmax is coming their way.

Actually, that would seem to fit just fine within the operating parameters of the comic. Remember that Forgath and Minmax have players, and that they are using game terminology, and that they aren't shy of making the sort of comments readers would make about their own adventures. Look at the center panel here. If they start referring to their alternate universe selves with cutesy portmanteau names, that'd be just more of the same kind of things they've always used.

And Kin's personal idiom of loquaciousness cannot be merely reduced to a determined penchant for the utilization of complicated-sounding vocables. In this precise case, she was to the contrary remarkably concise. It's just that she tends to speak in an unnatural way. Other Goblins characters are prone to the same problem (remember "it hurts like a sickness"? Thunt himself found it horrible and retconned it out, though I'm not especially convinced his replacement is that much better), but for Kin it's like part of her characterization. Which is mightily convenient.

Granted, we've all had years to get used to his name being Minmax, but it's still a ridiculous name.

(And yes, Gez. We all remember "It hurts like a sickness." As much as we'd like to forget. )

1)As mentioned, if she had said "Minmax", their Minmax might have thought she was talking to him.

2)Aye. We just got over talking about how Forgath managed to summon a badger in less than 1 round, it's pretty much a given that the Goblinverse does not adhere to rounds/turns/actions.

I seem to remember «alt versions of us» or something similar used by another Kin many months ago. So someone said it in the strip.

Because she yelled "ALT Minmax". Had she simply yelled "Minmax!" He would have assumed she was yelling to the same minmax he was, and he would have lost his head or something.

Nooo, the yum-yuck! Also, it sure looks like Forgath is disarming Alt-Max but it's got a long enough handle that Alt-Max might keep his grip on it.

Looks like the badger got in 2 fairly superficial attacks before being defeated. Not bad for a badger.

Excellent use of the backpack. Now I'm just frustrated I'll have to wait until Tuesday to find out if Forgath managed to disarm or inconvenience Not-Minmax.

Hmm, he has a mace, a knife, damaged yuk yuk, some miscellaneous coins and his magical mug. Im pretty sure he could do some macgeyver style stuff with that. And what the HELL is kin doing during all this? Trip him with your tail or something dammit! Pull out that auto crossbow and snipe at him, anything! This is out first chance to see her in actual combat in the maze, im curious to see what she will do.

If you have proficiency and weapon focus in a reach weapon and BAB +3 you can get the feat and be able to spend a swift action to give up your reach to be able to strike adjacent foes. Swift action to go back to normal. Alt-Max probably doesn't qualify for the BAB but I'm sure he'd find a way to cheese through that requirement.

I would assume it's still in the wagon they used to escape Brassmoon. It doesn't look like she had it when she fell out, and even if she did the guards would have taken it.
