The dwarf is sitting among the roots, several many legged creatures scurry away from you as you walk around, careful to stay in the magically deepened shadows.

Malathot examines the dwarf

Malathot pokes him repeatedly

He whacks at you with his left hand.

Ow! Malathot recoils immediately, taking a few steps back. What was that for?!
