"...awww, I was gonna suggest the flyer," Jamie says with a giggle. "What about the truck?"

Of course, she could offer to use her Windblade and give Minerva a flight, but she's tired enough it never occurs to her.

Minerva grins, "The truck works, hop in."

Jamie will find that, if she gets in, the seats in the back are, while built for human sized individuals, could fit someone much larger. In the back of the front seat and along the walls are datapads of some kind as well, and under the seat is... a box of bullets? "Ignore that, I'm still getting around to cleaning up in here."

Marty sticks his head out and searches for neighbors.

Jamie scrambles in, and raises an eyebrow at the contents of the truck. "Been out big game hunting?" she asks, curious if perhaps it was The Most Dangerous Game. "You should get a Wand of Prestidigitation."

The male runs away, climbs a ladder, steps out a door back there, ducks into another door. Going into that door will place What in a large maze of pipes and valves and what appear to be gyroscopes.

In the distance there appears to be an annoying gauntlet of gears, pistons, teleporter pads, energy beams, and oscillating things. The Object does not seem to call from anywhere in particular, annoyingly. Just a general feeling of it's around here somewhere, and you should get to it.

Silvery Ship Interior

Pipes and valves and such shouldn't slow him down too much, given his prior experience with vaulting all over Riverside and Inside's nooks and crannies and crevasses to cut down anyone and everyone he finds. What lunges for the first teleporter pad he can get close to. He's really not very clever, is he? Just goes with the closest thing he can to try to brute-force his way through everything, doesn't slow down to think over anything he does. Such a mindless animal.

going in that pad will put him on another pad in the puzzle. Following a straight line will eventually put him at the top of a ladder...

The ladder is that same ladder that the alien fled up. Gah. Who puts this kind of mess in... anywhere?

Listening for a minute will reveal a slight "thoop" sound from one of the doors. This sound will repeat once every thirty seconds. There is no sign of the male... wonder where he got to.

From a shadow outside a building leap two figures, one practically pulling the other. It's Derrick and Niki! Derrick brushes himself off. Jumping is usually much less violent than that.

Inside... where? He chose this location believing it to be quiet. Was there a place nearby he didn't know of? Actually Derrick's still confused that she wasn't mad that he swished her here when she wanted to stay.

Derrick isn't thrilled to enter the drow's home, but why not? Maybe there would be something valuable to steal. He walks in after her. So tell me My Lady, what did Jurren say to you that made you so upset?

How to explain this? My Lady, I told you I'm not the only creature in here. There's me, and then there's Jurren. He's a cat, My Lady, you can't get upset with him. He simply won't care. Derrick once more shoves Jurren back down when he tries to say something. He had a better will power then the cat. Irritated, the cat curls up to try and sleep.

No My Lady, there's nothing to forgive. Derrick says gently. He hugs her, but his eyes are flicking around the house, looking for valuables to steal. Old habits die hard.

The house is pretty crappy. It looks like a bombshelter. Theres a big bed and a bathroom. Theres also a bookshelf in Javert s room.

Derrick's been wondering about that himself. Because she's a woman is the first answer that springs to mind. In his world, all women were greatly respected. Calling them 'my lady' was just natural to him now. The other answer is that she's pretty, which she his. He's always been a sucker for a gorgeous face. The last reasonable answer is that he's lonely. A shadow-dancer's life isn't exactly social. What romantic thoughts, huh?

But he says something else. Because you needed help. Because you don't mind my form. Because... he cups her chin and looks into her eyes. Because you're you.

As for the lack of valuables, well that's just annoying. Derrick may already be rich from thievery, but there was never any harm in stealing a little more, was there? Well... not for him at least.

It's kinda hard to speak to speak when you're being kissed. And it's a good thing too, because Derrick STILL isn't sure what to say to that question. So he stays quiet and doesn't say anything.

Oh crap, she asked him when he doesn't have any sort of distraction or way of getting around the question! Silently he nudges Jurren, asking for help. But the cat's asleep. Great, now what?

As soon as she says that a look of joy appears on his face again and he feels very relieved. What? No, you don't ave to do that! He's just inexplicably happy that she wasn't mad at him.

Okay, okay, back on task. He releases her and meanders 'randomly' over to the bookshelf to examine it's contents. Does it have anything of worth? My Lady, when do we depart to find this 'Alabaster'?
